The best vet ever! Dr. A has treated my horses, goats and dogs. A few months ago, Dr. A treated my baby goat that was attacked by a dog or coyote. Possibly the most communicative, informative, and flexible vet I've ever had the pleasure of contracting. I work at Indian Hills Camp and we've got quite a few animals to care for. What I've appreciated the most is his ability to respond to texts in minutes, come out to our animals at only a few hours' notice, and even work to make sure I understand every part of what he does for the animals themselves. He aided in saving our mini-horse's life, fixing our new pig, and giving end-of-life care to another. While he may have a sense of humor too dry for some, I've never met another vet more willing and able to help animals and provide better outcomes for their health. Dr Gary is amazing, However some may not agree.So for the people who may not agree with his way of thinking or his sarcasism, I say your loss. Dr. Gary I have come to know very well this year as I have had him come out, well alot. Lets just say I havent had the best experience in owning my first set of horses. I called trying to get information and help to bring my baby pet to Mexico with me and they literally said "why would you want to take it over there it's a horrible place." Excuse me but that is extremely Racist especially sense my family is down there and I want to go visit them with my pet. If you are a Latino or Mexican or any of the kind you will subject to racist comments. Worst phone call ever. I just wanted to make my pet a service animal as well. He and Wanda are there for you, care for you, and DONT EVER belittle, waste your time or charge you for nonsense like many insecure vets do! Dr Amaral is a dedicated, professional and caring Vet. who has the care and health concerns of your precious four legged family members. Dr Amaral visits the Campo area on a regular basis which helps the people living in the back county of San Diego. He is very generous with his time and only charges a small amount for gas for his vehicle plus the cost of vaccinations and/or medication for our pets. I would highly recommend Dr Amaral to any owner who has any health concerns for their pet or farm animal. Dr. Amaral is great. I live 70 miles east of San Diego and he is the only vet I know of that is willing to come out to our remote rural East county location and do rattlesnake (and other vaccinations) for our pets. That is roughly 100 miles from his office. He saves me a ton in gas in having to make the trip in and his prices on vaccinations are WAY cheaper than any vet in town. And he only charges $7.50 for the trip (plus the cost of the vaccine). I really appreciate him coming out to my remote location and doing shots. He is great! Super friendly, great personality, not all about the money, and great with the animals. If I lived in Bonita or Chula Vista I would definitely go to him and I highly recommend him. read more
