Note: I did not go through with the moonwalk rental. This review is based on my experience communicating with the business. The good: the person I spoke to on the phone, as well as the one I texted with, was professional and courteous. The bad: I'm not a fan of businesses that lack price transparency. I was told one price on the phone and then days later the quote I received was much, much higher - basically jumped from an expected $350 to $900 all in. When I expressed shock over the discrepancy I was told that they were unaware of the pricing change this season. ? Anyway, it's too much for my kiddo's backyard birthday party but I could see a school, church or corporate event going for it. I worked with amanzi for about three months and saw all their long time employees using meth to stay up and work all night. I had to have surgery and kept their son up to date with my notes from the doctor. Was told to show up to work when I was healed and the doctor cleared me and was told I was cut from the schedule and wasn't needed anymore. Would work 20 hour shifts and had to sleep on the floor in the warehouse because I was to tired to drive while the owner had their own room with a mattress. They treat you horribly cuss at you yell at you it was the worst experience. read more

If you're looking for the short version: the bounce house arrived on time, it was taken down on time, it looked like the picture, it seemed clean and the kids had a blast. Communication was NON-EXISTENT and endlessly stressful for someone trying to confirm birthday plans. They reached out to me on Thumbtack (with another business name, based in San Antonio and after seeing the reviews for Amanzi, I can understand why, though it's still sketchy AF) and we agreed on a time/price. I signed the contract, submitted the deposit and then........... nothing. I reached out to them via Thumbtack the week before our party to confirm the rental. They never replied, so I finally emailed the company only to have someone re-forward me my receipt. What I was actually looking for was an email like, "Yes! We have your reservation and we're looking forward to being at XX at 10:00am. Please remember your remaining balance is due 24 hours before." I got my receipt re-forwarded. Reassuring, right? So, naturally, I get a little nervous. Based on the contract I signed (which I assume I would be held to if I tried to cancel), I would receive an email by 9pm the night before with a time to expect the bounce house to be setup. Guess what? I got no email. Again, I get a little more nervous. I emailed the company again around 9:30pm to check in. No one emails me back. I found the company on Facebook and sent a message. No reply. This is now FOUR messages to this company without a reply and without an email telling me at what time my this expensive bounce house will be around to sidetrack the kids so I can finish getting a party setup. Nothing. It's stressful. I start frantically trying to contact other companies to see if the have any theme-related bounce houses because guess what? The company we paid nearly $800 to is MIA and we haven't heard a peep from all week other than reforwarding our receipt. Luckily, at 9:30am, Amanzi shows up (again, it's a different company than the one that sent me the contract), with our bounce house. It's setup on time, the guys who set it up were nice and did a good job. It was taken down on time. All the kids bounced and had a blast and all ended well. But, it was a very, very long, stressful day. If I were to do it again, I probably wouldn't be inclined to rent from them again. I rented bubble balls for a company party. The communication was not good. I received an email giving a 2 hour delivery time so I waited at the company for those two hours. No show- then I called and was told they would just bring the balls an hour before the event. We rented 10 balls. They brought 8 child size balls and 2 adult sized balls... for a company party. The balls sat essentially unused because the adults could not fit inside! We had some kids play for a short period but I paid hundreds of dollars for our employees to play! Super frustrating that the communication was poor and the balls were too small! read more

This outfit sucks. I wish I could give it a zero stars. They sound all efficient on the phone, but when you get to their joke office they are all impersonal and their equipment is trash. I went to pick up a cotton candy machine and it was all sticky and parts were missing, and they had the invoice all wrong. Apparently amanzi means discombobulated in another language. I waited, then they decided they didn't have time to fix it so the chicken owner came out and told me to call his office manager who told me they were canceling everything! A real rental place would have had their equipment clean and repaired before they tell customers it's ready for pick up.Now I have to scramble for a replacement because they are incompetent. The 115 chairs and 10 tables we rented were good, what we expected. The customer service was NOT good. It started with double charging the fees "because it didn't go through the first time" but it had, then it took 6 days to get the refund into our account. We choose not to have delivery. We were told that we had to pick on Thursday before noon so there would be help to load. There was no one to help except the receptionist who wasn't much help. It was my husband who is 70 and daughter who had to load the trailer. We were promised that on Monday when we returned everything there would be help to unload. Originally my daughter was going to return everything but luckily her husband did instead. The only person to help was a very small young lady, the receptionist. The owner showed up but didn't help. Only comment was "if you had paid for delivery ($90)" this wouldn't have happened. When you are in a customer service industry you need to know how to serve customers! DONT EVER WORK OR BUY FROM THEM !!!!!!My fiance and I have been doing two day jobs with this company when they come to the DFW area (in total 4 jobs). Just this past weekend we drove to Justin, tx (1hr from me) on Saturday and drove to Wylie, tx on Sunday (1hr30mins away) . This company literally pays you when THEY feel like it. We got done working Sunday at 12am so I didn't expect pay that late. I woke up next morning and decided to message HEATHER to let her know it is now noon next day and still no $$. I called her and she of course handed the phone to the owner. Let me just say RECKLESS!!! He yelled at the top of his lungs and kept telling me to shut up I'll get paid when he feels like paying me and to never call againnn. They rig a lot of their rentals and it's NOT safe ! Faithfully used Amanzi Party Rentals for three consecutive years for our daughter's birthday celebration. Each of the three years we ordered a large bounce house, multiple tables, and a few dozen chairs. The first and second time we ordered with Amanzi we were amazed and very happy. The third time, which was a few days ago we were very disappointed and absolutely frustrated with Amanzi. The day before the third party we tried numerous times to contact Amanzi to confirm everything was ready. No one answered, and no one returned our calls. We email Amanzi three times the day before request someone call us, no response. The day of the party came and Amazi appeared at the wrong house (the billing address not the delivery address). Note: The delivery address shouldn't be a surprise, our party address was the same EACH year. We then gave Amanzi the correct address and directions. Once they arrived at the correct location guess what happen, WRONG BOUNCE HOUSE... The slide piece was a pool like piece where water is required... Not what we ordered. So we had to adapt and place a mountain of blankets and pillows at the bottom of the slide so the children wouldn't get hurt... Then we went to setup the tables and chairs and guess what, they were absolutely filthy. Both the tables and chairs were covered in dirt and food remains. So we spent the next half hour cleaning their tables and chairs so they would be presentable for our guests. After the party Amanzi came and picked up the gear and left. No apology or talk of compensation. I called the following Monday and spoke with Heather and she apologized for not returning our calls before the party. She stated she was out of the country. I explain all of the issues and she said she would talk to the owner and call me back. Shortly thereafter Heather called back and said she was authorized to refund us 5% (~$17 of our $330 rental). Ladies and gentleman 5%... Needless to say we were not happy and completely disappointed at the service and compensation for their disaster. Amanzi Party Rentals has lost our business and the business of my family. I hope you fix your business and make it right. Your services are used for special days, and you made my daughter's special day a mess. read more

I called thursday morning asking for details for renting several items. I was told i would have to get a call back the next morning by Heather (i believe the name was heather. Started with an H) I was not asked for my phone number but was told bye and they hung up. I thought it odd, but assumed they has caller ID. That morning came no call, that after noon no call, and that evening no call. So i called the next day to inquire about renting details, putting in my order and pick up date but with no luck i was told Heather wasnt there and she would have to call me the next morning and was hung up on again. On my first conversation I encountered a friendly, knowledgeable, professional person who genuinely cared about our event being as successful as possible. Heather from Amanzi took the time to give me several different quotes with different combinations of rentals that would work within our budget. She was always quick with her responses as well as patient and friendly. We ended up using Amanzi for our event and they stayed in contact with us through phone and email leading up to the event. Willem from Amanzi came and did a site walk prior to our event to help us make sure everything went as smoothly as possible the day of. The day of our event Amanzi and their crew were there bright and early setting up everything. Which for us included their amazing mechanical swings, rock wall, dunk tank, bungee run and obstacle course. They were just as friendly and professional in person as over the phone! The day went amazing and they made sure of it from start to finish. I cannot recommend them for your event enough. It is not every day that you encounter people that take such pride in what they do while having fun! This is a family owned and run, honest and professional company. Their rentals are extremely clean and safe. Every employee was friendly and made sure that our kids were safe and having fun. If you rent items from these individuals, expect items in poor conditions. I rented tents from Amanzi Rentals and they did not come with pins to secure them to the floor. My outdoor event happened to be on a windy day and it was horrible having these tents taken down because they were flying away!! Upon returning the tents, the husband and wife were extremely unprofessional when they attempted to blame me for damaging their already broken/rusted tent. I ended up paying $100 for "breaking their tent", not to mention this was never discussed and the owner acted like a pouting child about the incident. After acknowledging how windy and potentially harmful to their items the day way...they still charged me for their tent. We were throwing a big party for the husband's PhD (piled high and deep) graduation. The first company I contacted, Party Rentals of Texas, were terrible. After several voice mails I finally received a call back from a blustery jerk. The call dropped after about 3 minutes and he never called back. I sent an email and left a couple more message - nothing. I kept trying because I thought they were closest to us in proximity and there would be a better chance of availability. So, Heather at Amanzi was a breath of fresh air. It was 3 days before UT's graduation and they came through! Heather answered my call and after hearing what I needed, promptly checked with the supervisor to make sure it was doable. It was, and 10 minutes later I had tables, chairs, and bounce house reserved. They are way south and we are way north, but it wasn't a problem. Heather was very friendly and personable. She called us the day before to confirm and set the delivery time. They delivered the items an hour and a half earlier than we expected, which was awesome! The delivery guys were very nice and set everything up for us really quickly. The kids were jumping away, and occupied while we made the final preparation for the party. It was a lot of fun, and reasonably priced ($350 I think for 8 hours) . As a woman, there are times when I receive blatant sexism. Sometimes it's more obvious than others. A lot of my issues with Amanzi could have be resolved with better communication and basic customer service. When the slide arrived, it was 4 hours before expected. Fine. They asked where to put it. I told them I was a little unsure and there was a stump with branches poking out in the proposed spot. They said it might puncture the slide. I said do you have an axe or something? Would it be okay if we covered it? I don't want the slide to get damaged. They shrugged me off and put the slide up anyways. I told them I didn't think it would fit and there wasn't any room to run (slip and slide style). I asked if we could put it somewhere else, on a different side of the yard, instead they shoved it forward into my flower garden. I told them that's not going to work. This man looked at me, walked away, and proceeded to load up the truck. I asked multiple times for the slide to me moved and it wasn't even acknowledged. Just a blatant disregard for my request and even existence. I felt humiliated. Especially for someone I am expected to tip. This was my house warming party for a house I saved for 5 years to get. I was so proud and I just wanted to share this moment with my friends. And as you know by now, these slides aren't cheap. After arguing with me and waiting for about an hour, the owner showed up. He then defended his men and proceeded to tell me why I'm wrong. He talked over me, interrupted. And was so rude I wanted to cry and throw something at the same time. I felt so belittled an embarrassed. The truth is, moving an inflatable multiple times slows production. I get that. But it slows it even more when you spend an hour arguing about it for a slide that takes 5 minutes to move. This could have been avoided by saying "We will put the slide wherever you want, but unfortunately, we can't move it." Instead I was ignored. Additionally, one of the guys asked if the slide could be kept over night. I said "Absolutely! Please and thank you!" I told my friends that we had the slide all night and they could come and go as they pleased. They then picked the slide up at 8. Overall, a really degrading and disrespectful experience. It really put a damper on what was supposed to be a really exciting day for me. But hey, if you're a white male, I'm sure you'll get great customer service. These men like and respect men. read more

Totally unprofessional! They deliverd the incomplete equipment and because of that we couldn't secure it completely and one of the inflatable things suddenly deflated and broke. They tried to pin it all on us and they even had the nerve to ask us for $250 for the damage. It was their fault they didn't deliver the full equipment and we couldn't secure it properly. read more

Do Not RENT from these people!! I rented a blow-up joust, the helmets would have cut your face immediately. We also rented a dunking booth that did not once actually work. From the smallest child to the largest man the seat not ONCE dropped. I had to station a person behind the booth to listen and pull the bar. It also took 2 days to pick up. I rented for a cancer benefit which housed between 200-300 people, I was told because I didn't call during the actual event they couldn't do anything about it. If this keeps one person from not renting I win. read more

Amanzi Party Rentals came through for us. They had the largest variety of party rental equipment that we were able to get everything we needed from them. We rented multiple inflatables from moonwalks to obstacle courses so all ages at the carnival were entertained. They also brought their Zip Line which had a huge line of people waiting to try it. We had to have a mechanical bull, being in Texas, and it was such a hit. We kept a tally board and the competition was on. Their rock wall had multiple sides and looked brand new. We really couldn't have asked for more. The office staff helped us with all our questions from insurance and certificates of inspection to setup ideas and times. We decided to use Amanzi to rent an inflatable water slide for our Memorial Day & Birthday party. It had been raining the day before our party, so when the delivery drivers arrived they were instructed to not drive on the grass because their box truck would get stuck. They listened and unloaded the slide using a dolly to transport from our driveway to the grass. However, when they came back to pick up the rental they decided to not listen to our previous advice and backed out onto our grass to turn their truck. They were immediately stuck, ripping up our grass, and a distraction to our party. The drivers asked us for help and we went to see what we could do. Luckily for them we have the tools necessary to move them (a rough terrain forklift, that rents for $600 daily, and a chain). Since we took our time and effort away from our guests, I called the next business day to see what they could offer us in return. Thinking that they would be THANKFUL that we saved them the cost of sending a tow truck 20 miles outside of city limits on a Saturday evening during a holiday weekend, instead when I brought up the idea of maybe offering the rental for free I was yelled the following things... "No, I am not paying you.", "You want to go to court", "you want to speak with my lawyer", "Let's go to court", "I am not paying you, we can go to court". The best one was "I should charge you for our guys getting stuck". I was dumbfounded by what I was hearing because that is not at all how I expected the conversation to go, especially to a repeat customer. I never once brought up suing the company; I was simply asking what they could do for us since we took our time and equipment to help them. I am in complete shock at the poor level of customer service their representative/owner had towards me. I hope none of you have to experience this horrible level of customer service & sadly, think twice about helping Amanzi should anything go wrong at your event. read more

Our spring event was a huge success for our small school, thanks to Amanzi Party Rentals. We rented several large inflatables, including the bucking bulldog (our school's mascot), and it was delivered from over an hour away in a timely manner. Heather was so friendly and provided me with great customer service.The guys that came to set up and run the equipment were professional and efficient. Eddrick was very helpful and courteous, and he made sure I didn't have to worry about a thing. We were all very impressed with this company. I rented and paid for a little kids water slide from Amanzi for my daughter's fifth birthday party. Although I rented it a week before the event, they called me a few hours before the party started and told me the water slide I ordered was not available. They didn't ask me to pick something else out but instead claimed "they were giving me an upgrade" and had what they picked out for me already at my house. It was not a true water slide with a pool like I ordered and it was too fast and was dangerous for little kids. Thus, the party was not enjoyable and was very stressful for me as I was scrambling to get something else for the 25 kids at my house to play with. We contacted the owner and he refused to take responsibility for any of it. He became irate on the phone and resorted to name calling. His workers talked about how irrational he was and that they were sorry that we had to deal with him. His employees also mentioned that his poor wife has to take the brunt of his irrational outburst.
