I first went to mastertech when I needed tie rod ends. I typically do all my own work, but…read moreconsidering an alignment is required after tie rod installation, i called around for pricing. Mastertech charged the same to provide parts and do the whole job as it would have cost me to purchase and install them myself and have it aligned. Since then I have been back to them for tires, other suspension work, and a timing belt I lacked the time to tackle myself. I used to call around to compare pricing, but as they came in significantly less expensive than their competitors every time, I no longer bother. They're also very good about informimg you of any other issues to keep an eye on - not to upsell you or try to convince you to have unnecessary work done, but to be aware of any forseeable future issues. They've earned the title of "my trusted mechanic" and I can not recommend them enough.

Tyera had just moved to Ohio from Tn. She let someone she met borrow her Honda and they bottomed the front of the car out damaging the radiator and ac compressor. She had it towed to Mastertech Auto Repair. They had it fixed in 3 days but she didn't have the $2600.00 to pay for repairs. She paid all she had of $800. The shop then started charging her $25/day. Hearing her story and knowing how shops take advantage of women and struggling people, I offered to help her out not knowing if I would ever see the money again. I called the sherif then the police thinking an escort would incline the shop to do the right thing. Maybe they would accept credit card with their presence. Wrong! MasterScamTech is out to prey on the people that don't have cash to pay expenses. Their goal is to own your car! Their interest is not to help a special needs school teacher get back on her feet. As a Christian and Veteran, I find it my duty to help the ones God advises your heart to help. Tyera may have broke my bank account but we defeated the devil scamtech together! John and Morgan are the most heartless, cold blooded, devious snakes I've ever met managing an auto repair shop! They showed no empathy or remorse the entire time I discussed Tyera's situation. They would take a single income lady's vehicle with no regret for how it is effecting her life with the holidays so close. Be a Good Samaritan and help those out of bad situations! Matt 18:22 Give 70 times 7! Live the Bible!

Dropped the car off told them the problems and mentioned, when braking, the car pulled a little to the left. Later they called with a diagnostic fee which seemed a little high but wanted it fixed. Someone called back the next day told me they had changed the oil and recharged the air conditioning and found leaks at both Schrader valves which they replaced (part of the diagnostic fee I imagine) and I needed $2000 worth of brake work, (front pads and rotors, rear shoes and drums, front calipers, BG brake system service). My response was, "that is a third of what the car was worth, put it back together and the car will be picked up. A total of $2875.81 of work and parts were declined by me. " Just to be on the safe side, two weeks later the same vehicle was taken to another auto repair shop to have the brakes checked, their receipt says "Inspect brakes, approximately 50% -OK". The brakes are working fine. There is probably a large gap as to what is needed for vehicle repairs and what the manufacturers suggests and how much money you have.

In the conversation going over now coming back a 3rd time said "Wasn't this paid for by someone else?" He didn't understand my being upset/offended by his question and got really defensive when I explained it didn't matter who paid for it and we were hit by an uninsured driver who agreed to pay us. He got pissed off at at me! This place is completely 100% dead pan unapologetic about there lack of work, lack of ethic, lack of customer service. ****UPDATE: 08/27/23 Few weeks later. Our son sits in the back seat. CAN'T PUT THE WINDOW DOWN! Doesn't work. Because they not only didn't connect it the just stuck it back in! This place owes us money back!!! We were hit by an uninsured driver. An older lady who accidentally let her Insurance laps. They said it would take 7 to 10 days to fix the car. Took 4 days. RED FLAG! This shop is so used to ripping of insurance companies when you come in they provide and estimate and DO NOT DO THE WORK YOU PAID CASH FOR! An uninsured motorist hit my husband. She agreed to pay us. Estimate was with cost of removing the bumper and headlights front and back paint fade to match doors. JOKE! THEY NEVER PAINTED PAST THE DOORS. HUGE MISSED AREA. HUGE! Front or back never used paint or clear coat but charged us for it. Found the small scratches on the car front and back before we took it in. Small but we know they were there and a paint chip. Right by the door. Its still there! Had they painted and buffed and clear coated it wouldn't be there. Took it back they took off a major area they missed but up front same scratches that had where they"Faded the paint and buffed would not still be there. Scratches that were not caused by the accident but we knew were there. THEY ARE STILL THERE ON THE FRONT PANEL BY THE DOOR! THEY NEVER removed the bumper or headlight in the front. Same in the back. They charged for it. They charged HUNDREDS to remove bumpers and lights never touched. Paint and time never used. Estimated buffing the Wheel the older lady hit. Didn't do that either. Trim they took off coming off the car. This fix should have cost half. Didn't paint or buff past the doors. Charged! Didn't remove lights or bumpers. Charged ! Didn't Buff Wheel. Charged Trim coming off. Stop ripping people off.
