Mastertech charged the same to provide parts and do the whole job as it would have cost me to purchase and install them myself and have it aligned. Since then I have been back to them for tires, other suspension work, and a timing belt I lacked the time to tackle myself. I used to call around to compare pricing, but as they came in significantly less expensive than their competitors every time, I no longer bother. They're also very good about informimg you of any other issues to keep an eye on - not to upsell you or try to convince you to have unnecessary work done, but to be aware of any forseeable future issues. They've earned the title of "my trusted mechanic" and I can not recommend them enough.

Tyera had just moved to Ohio from Tn. She let someone she met borrow her Honda and they bottomed the front of the car out damaging the radiator and ac compressor. She had it towed to Mastertech Auto Repair. They had it fixed in 3 days but she didn't have the $2600.00 to pay for repairs. She paid all she had of $800. The shop then started charging her $25/day. Hearing her story and knowing how shops take advantage of women and struggling people, I offered to help her out not knowing if I would ever see the money again. I called the sherif then the police thinking an escort would incline the shop to do the right thing. Maybe they would accept credit card with their presence. Wrong! MasterScamTech is out to prey on the people that don't have cash to pay expenses. Their goal is to own your car! Their interest is not to help a special needs school teacher get back on her feet. As a Christian and Veteran, I find it my duty to help the ones God advises your heart to help. Tyera may have broke my bank account but we defeated the devil scamtech together! John and Morgan are the most heartless, cold blooded, devious snakes I've ever met managing an auto repair shop! They showed no empathy or remorse the entire time I discussed Tyera's situation. We were recommended by a friend, I decided to give them a try, and found that they exceeded expectations all around What I discovered about them is that they don't charge you to look at your car and give you an initial evaluation like most auto shops which could be $100-200 just to even look at your car. The recommendations that came back from my repair was on the high end in the worst case scenario, and that was absolutely on par with the dealership's service departments. However, they recommended the repair plan to start with the simple repairs and if that doesn't work go on to the further so overall my bill was much less than going to a branded Repair Shop. The repair ended up working right off the bat, at a much lower cost, and they treated me like I was a person. They spoke to me like I was a normal human being who didn't really know much about car maintenance and I greatly appreciate them talking to me at my level. Looking at the cars that were in there repair lot, it ranged anything from really old classical cars to really high end sports cars, and then every normal car in between. They clearly have a skill set that is suitable for All Makes and Models (dad pun). I can't recommend them enough, they're practical, down to earth, and they work with you to meet you at your level. If you ever need a repair the only thing they really don't do is body work I would absolutely check this place out.

"Caveat Emptor" Went to Fix-It with Fred for a needed oil change and the air conditioner was…read moreblowing warm air. Dropped the car off told them the problems and mentioned, when braking, the car pulled a little to the left. Later they called with a diagnostic fee which seemed a little high but wanted it fixed. Someone called back the next day told me they had changed the oil and recharged the air conditioning and found leaks at both Schrader valves which they replaced (part of the diagnostic fee I imagine) and I needed $2000 worth of brake work, (front pads and rotors, rear shoes and drums, front calipers, BG brake system service). My response was, "that is a third of what the car was worth, put it back together and the car will be picked up. A total of $2875.81 of work and parts were declined by me. " Just to be on the safe side, two weeks later the same vehicle was taken to another auto repair shop to have the brakes checked, their receipt says "Inspect brakes, approximately 50% -OK". The brakes are working fine. There is probably a large gap as to what is needed for vehicle repairs and what the manufacturers suggests and how much money you have.
