We had our family SUV there for over a month, received a huge bill and still had to take it directly to another mechanic anyways. It was a coolant leak that spiraled and turned into a lot of hours in labor charge$$, guessing on radiator, thermostat? maybe, hoses, heater core, parts and symptoms over 3 weeks in dead of Winter. In the end was told to "get a head gasket replacement", but why was that not checked first when told that SUV was overheating? A compression leak down test or a coolant combustion gas test should have been the first thing done, then go from there. We just got a large bill and a larger one now looming... We are local, and like to give locals good reviews, but this was a most painful experience, and we had to rent cars for a month just to get by. He had somebody quit in the middle of all this, so I get that, but the communication there was very lacking, as we would go 4-5 days with no updates to the progress, kept us wondering every day if we should extend the rental car agreement, a day,a week, two, who knows? There is nobody working the front desk to call, so you are calling Nick directly and he's the one working on cars, so we weren't sure if he was getting messages. Every excuse was that he was always working on somebody else's car instead of ours. Engine was missing some parts by week 4, I had to go buy to replace after getting it back. He did refund me though. Interior of car was received as filthy and took over an hour to clean. I think that the A/C refrigerant was also lost in the radiator swap, I'll find out in the Summer. Bush's, McBrides, and Randy's were booked out 2 weeks when it overheated, or I would have gone there, so took a chance here and would not recommend. read more

This business may have found out a way to delete negative reviews because after my experience here I have no idea in the world how they have 5 stars on google maps. I wanted to share my experience anyway in the hopes it does not get deleted and prevents someone else from getting swindled here. I came to Nick because he had 5 star reviews which is unheard of for a mechanic and because I needed a trustworthy and honest mechanic that had a fair rate. I told him all of that and that I was dealing with suspension issues needing my shocks done. I paid him for the shocks and he did the transaction off the books and then gave me the estimate he had made for me as a receipt. I saw this as a red flag and realized it after I got home. so I gave him a call later to ask him if he could give me a receipt when I come back to do an inspection for my steering issues. He said he could. So i go up there to do my inspection walk an hour back with my dog and at the end of the day he gives me a call to say that he cannot tell if my steering shaft or whole rack and pinion need replaced but that will be over 2k and more importantly that my ball joints and control arm for my suspension are going out and that if i don't do that work soon another 1k then ill have a serious safety issue down the road. I found this alarming especially since he just did my shocks a month prior and would have seen that issue then and raised it with me then. Nevertheless i started scraping together everything i had and even not eating to get this done asap. This is someone that knew i had little money for car work. When I went for the papers that day they handed me a 3k quote and another estimate posing as a receipt for my shocks. I decided to get a second opinion after he lied about the receipt again. I took my car to Toyota and paid them 200 to go over the suspension and steering in detail. They pinpointed my steering issue to the shaft not the whole rack and pinion and said there was absolutely nothing wrong with my ball joints and control arm suspension. I ask them to look and then look again. Nothing. So this is when I realized Nick and his shop are total scam artists. They tried to take advantage of someone that told them upfront I had a history of being scammed by mechanics as I am a women and they think I am an easy target and He still would rather i starve myself literally so that he can swingle 3k out of me when the real job that needed done would have cost 500 to 800 tops. I am disgusted by people like this. Imagine if the car was my home or business. I will now have to make sure my shocks are the ones you said they were and they you installed them as well and did not do shotty work. Please no one risk supporting this business. read more

If you need roadside assistance do not use this one in the Youngstown area.They had the wrong phone number despite being told multiple times it was the wrong number never bothered to change the information. Then the driver lied about going to the address and canceled the call. This was after they were informed I was in a dangerous situation and have heart problems. This was by far the worst experience with a roadside assistance company I've ever had in my life. So first the lady I spoke with initially when I called the number provided by my insurance company got rude and nasty with me after I asked if she had a rough idea of when someone would be able to get out to me as I was on the side of the interstate. Then when the driver finally arrived he was just as rude and hateful as the first woman. I asked if they'd been busy trying to make small talk as he was over an hour late past the 45 minute eta given. He started getting loud with me and said I own this company I don't have to rush for anyone I'll get there when I get there. Then said if I didn't like it he would cancel the call and I'd have to call my insurance company back to send someone else out. I am beyond shocked and extremely disappointed in the terrible service I received in my time of emergency. I will never give this company my business ever again in the future. read more

Locked my keys in the car while down on the river front. My insurance company gave them bad directions to find me, so it took over an hour even though I was right in the Falls. Once they arrived, it took 10 seconds to get in my car. If they had called me, I could have given the driver directions., but the driver did not have my number. I would call them again!!! read more
