The food is exquisite and unusual with lots of fish and seafood. You can get the traditional dishes too but try something different and be tantalised! Crisp white tablecloths and modern, light interiors with some funky artwork add to the atmosphere. There is a nice seating area at the bar for pre-dinner drinks. Our only criticism of India Dining is the service can be slow, often. We have chatted to Asad about this when he asks why we don't come more often! So go prepared and order your drinks as soon as you arrive. Are we the only people that like to peruse the menu with a drink in hand?! Not much to ask surely? India Dining are always organising special events including a Champagne evening recently which we couldn't attend but when I drove past I wished I could have been there. Everyone was in Black Tie and evening dress spilling out of the restaurant and having a merry time!

We have been visiting this restaurant since 2006 and have always enjoyed our visits but never…read moreagain! We arrived around 8.30pm last night, Friday 16th May 2014. Yes, the restaurant was busy but were kept waiting to order drinks and poppadums. Normally when the poppadums arrive your order is taken for your main course. No, he just left. We had to ask another waiter for plates as none were on the table. The staff we noticed all had sullen looks no one appeared happy. We finished our poppadums' and waited for someone to take our order, even though our menus were still on the table, no one came. Finally, we managed to 'catch' a waiter's eye and our order was taken around 8.50. Whilst waiting for our main course to arrive, we noticed that two other couples who had arrived and been seated after us were already eating their main course and several other customers who had order takeaways at the desk after our arrival, had received their orders and left. Finally at 9.20 pm we managed to collar the Manager, Masud, to ask how much longer. He disappeared and came back and said 2 mins -he didn't apologise, but we assumed they had forgotten us! As the couple next to us left having paid their bill they said 'we hope your food arrives soon' - it comes to something when other diners notice someone else's lack of service! We waited a further 5mins - nothing arrived so we voted with our feet and left. There was nothing to say what the quality of the food we order would have been like given that it was probably 'thrown together' as we had obviously been forgotten. The staff appeared not to care and the manager wasn't doing a very good job of managing and given that the 'Chef of the Year Award' was proudly displayed on the front desk, he was probably the only person who was working hard!
