Read the reviews and do not bring anything valuable here !! I chose this place based solely on the location bc it's where I do most of my shopping and it was convenient. I should have read reviews first before letting this place ruin an $800 down comforter. I brought in a $800 100% Hungarian goose down comforter for a dry clean. The lady was on the phone while I handed her my comforter in its branded storage bag that I paid an additional $40 for from the comforter company when I first bought it. I handed over my comforter in its bag on Tuesday and they told me to pick it up on Saturday. Today is Saturday. I go to pick up my comforter and it's in a cheap static to the touch plastic bag. I ask for the original bag I brought it in with and the guy who I assume is an owner goes to look for it. I show him a picture of what the bag looks like and he says they probably threw it away. WHATTT?!? Who throws away someone else's property?! He said people usually don't care about it, they throw bags away all the time, and that I'm the first person in 40 years who has ever been upset by it. I was so angry! I have never had a dry cleaner throw away my BRANDED garment bag before EVER! The most annoying part is the guy thinks it's funny and shrugs it off like it's just how they choose to do business. He had such a shitty personality and attitude and showed zero empathy for throwing away my personal property. No apology, no emotion just a straight up shrug of his shoulders and says it's normal. Y'all ! I had so many words for this man and I wanted to cuss him out so bad but remarkably the most absurd word I used was "bananas" and told him it's ridiculous that they just toss peoples property away. After that he told me to just take the comforter and I sure did and walked out. Then I get home and take my duvet out the bag and shake it out and let it rest for a few hours and half the squares are COMPLETELY flat where the feathers have shifted and the tags that were originally white have PINK DYE on them!! They never dry cleaned this, they clearly threw this in a regular washer and dryer and called it good. I attached photos of what half the empty squares look like compared to what they're supposed to look like. It's one thing if my storage bag was ratty and nasty but it was still brand new and high quality. If they truly just throw away people's garment bags then they should tell them at the counter to remove the item from the garment bag otherwise it will be tossed. I have been using dry cleaning services for years and I've been asked a few times if I wanted to keep the bag it was being dropped off in or if I would like a new bag but they always gave me the option. The other cleaners who have never asked have ALWAYS put my cleaned items back in the original bag it came in. I don't know why this place decides for you but it's a terrible way of doing business. May Jesus never take the wheel for this POS owner. read more

I dropped off a sleeping bag on 23 September and was supposed to get it back on 27th September. I called repeatedly, but there was no answer and their mailbox was full. Full. I had to buy another sleeping bag for my camping trip because the cleaner was closed on Sunday. No communication and failure to deliver my item on time cost me $140. I tried to get my hand me down Persian rug taken in this place, and I really complement their honesty of how much it is going to cost me and also advised that it is not worth spending that much money to get the rugs cleaned. These days, if a company cheats you, you have the option of putting your side of the story online as a word of warning. AM Cleaners off Marvin in Lacey was always easy to work with but more expensive than other cleaners that do as good a job. However, they were very conveniently located near Costco, so I used their services. Last year, I took a natural fiber runner rug to them. When it came back, the color had been washed out in obvious spots. When I asked the younger of the two male owners to pay me for the damage, he told me "That's not how life works." I told him that Super Cleaners 2 had once ruined a silk blouse of mine and, without my asking, had paid me what it was worth, so I finally talked him into a small payment. He wasn't happy about it, so I later made him a bead bracelet that I saw both men and women wearing and delivered it with a note thanking him for doing the right thing. This spring I brought AM two down quilts to clean. They charged me almost $100 when I picked them up in plastic bags and I just stored them in my cedar chest for the summer without opening them first. I just took them out of the bags for fall and both quilts were still dirty, stained, and smelled bad. It was obvious that the guy at AM was angry about the rug last year, so he had just taken the dirty quilts and stuffed them into the bags as if cleaned. I told him that I was going to Yelp about it, but it would be better if he reversed his theft by cleaning them properly. Rather than deny my accusation, he smiled in satisfaction and said that I can't prove it. He accused me of extortion and said that his lawyer would be calling me. Wow! read more

Just drove a half hour specifically to this alteration shop because their closing time is posted as 7:00. Getting really sick of businesses/services using this pandemic is a opportunity to slack and leave work early. Orrrrrrrrrr maybe your hours are wrong on Apple Maps. Meaning Over 50% of your customers have iPhones showing your incorrect hours. When I got to AM Cleaners I deliberately counted "6" dress shirts to the Attendant as I was taking them out of the bag, so there would not be any misunderstandings, because they're very expensive. I got an email to p/u my shirts and when I got there I counted only "5" shirts and I asked him where is my "6th" shirt. He said you only have "5" shirts. I told him that's why I purposely counted them out to you so there would not be any doubts and also someone there sewed one of my french cuff shirts together and he said someone else did that. I told him when you buy any french cuffed shirts, they're not sewed together. There was nothing I could do at that point, it was his word against mine. read more

My wife lost all five of her items that she took to this cleaners for alterations. After coming back at the specified date to pick up the items, the women (Adrian) said she could not find my wife's items, my wife then proceeded to help Adrian find her items around the shop but they were unsuccessful. Adrian told my wife to come back the next day and allow her to keep searching. My wife came back the next day and she then claimed that my wife may have picked up the items already and to check at home or they may have mistakenly gave it to another women who may have looked like my wife (my wife is black). My wife again helped Adrian look around her shop but again was unsuccessful. Adrian then said they can check the cameras on Monday and to come back then. My wife disagreed and was confused why the cameras couldnt be checked that same day and stayed at the store until they checked the cameras (the cameras also did not work). The store later called the police because they felt "uncomfortable" that my wife would not leave the store. I'm sure this place has great service but the fact that they lost my wife's items, accused her for possibly forgetting that she may have already picked them up, the fact that their tracking system in their shop in unsatisfactory, and that they called the police is the reason that I do not reccemmond this shop. read more

I have been coming here for years to have my business suits and shirts cleaned. For the most part, the service has been adequate and the results are good. On occasion, they will not be ready when they said they would be. One time, about 6 months ago, I brought about 30 shirts in to be cleaned. I returned on the promised date to pick them up and learned they could not find the shirts, I returned the next day - still couldn't find them. Finally on the third day - they did locate them. The shirts they could not find were in packages as if just purchased from the store when I dropped them off. This must have thrown off their inventory process and they just couldn't locate them. Fortunately, they did turn up. I still come back here because this was an isloated incident. If it happens again, I would probably not return. read more

Five Star Rating From Me. I decided to change my personal opinion on AM Cleaners from unsatisfactory to satisfactory. My latest visit proved to be a great experience for me and the quality of service was awesome. I felt realy good about returning to AM Cleaners. I turned in over 50 shirts and several pants to get laundered and pressed. All items were returned to me and in great condition. I feel really good taking my dry cleaning to AM Cleaners and trust them with my laundry and other dry cleaning needs. I have to say that more importantly to me than the great service that I last received from AM Cleaners, is that the owner had reached out to me prior to my return visit and genuinely wanted to know how they could improve their service. One has to really appreciate it when a local business owner reaches out to their patrons and asks for personal feedback. The truth of the matter is that several years ago I was not happy with AM Cleaners . However, this latest vulnerable and courageous gesture to ask for feedback from me on how to make things right from that one unsatisfactory visit proved to be a genuine and positive experience for me; besides, who doesn't deserve a second chance. The new management/owners at AM Cleaners took that awesome step to reach out to me and made attemps to improve their customer relations, and I am glad that they did. I took my wedding dress in to be cleaned and to see if they could add a halter strap, instead of shoulder straps. This was something that wasn't able to be done where I had the dress altered. I explained the issue and what I was hoping to do, and they did not disappoint! They found material to match the dress and created a nice strap that was plenty long for tying around my neck. The strap was nice and wide, sewn with no visible seem and was sewn into the dress without any obvious alteration of the strap style. I was SO RELIEVED they could make this happen, as I couldn't actually wear the dress even after the initial alterations at a place specializing in gowns and formal wear. This was a used dress and needed to be cleaned also, and when I picked it up I was shocked how nice the dress looked and how bright and fresh. I am so glad I had it cleaned before wearing it for my own wedding. I will be going back for my cleaning and alteration needs!!! read more

I've had nothing but excellent service from AM Cleaners. This family own business is great and when I walk in they call me by my first name always. The service is exceptional. Once I had a tablecloth with a bad stain that no "other" cleaners could get out, but AM Cleaners did. I drop-off items EVERY week...so this is not a one time review. The prices are comparable with every other cleaner in the area who don't do as good of a job. Everyone here is exceptionally nice and customer service oriented which is rare these days. Horrible experience. I called on a Thursday morning around 9am and asked if they did one day dry cleaning and the woman who answered said yes it would be ready the next afternoon (Friday afternoon). I told her I was on a little time crunch and would need it by noon on Friday, not the afternoon and she said oh yeah that's fine no worries. I brought it in and reminded her I would need it the next day (Friday) by noon, not the afternoon. She said great no problem and printed me up a receipt. On the receipt it said I needed it by Saturday at noon so I pointed this out to her and said I thought it was one day service? She said oh no it's fine it will be ready Friday, the receipt just printed Saturday. So I left and came back FRIDAY at NOON and handed her my receipt. She told me the receipt says I'm not supposed to pick it up until tomorrow and I reminded her who I was and that she told me it would be ready today. She went looking for the shirt and couldn't find it anywhere and had to come back up to ask me what it looked like. I watched her find it and quickly shove it in a bag and bring it to me. It's not buttoned, the arms aren't ironed or pressed, it's all messy and I honestly don't know if they even cleaned it. It was cheap but I'm really unhappy with it. read more

Howard's supposedly couldn't get the stains out of my bridesmaid dress and put two new ones on it. I took it to AM Cleaners and the sweet employee said they'd remove them. I picked my dress up today and it looks brand new! It was also cheaper and quicker than Howard's. The facility was clean and stylish as well. Well these folks used to be great but lately been falling short. Been using this business for 6 years.with in the last year we've had cleaning and alterations done. Every alteration we have to take back and get redone. Had some shirt pressed and was not pressed to what we wanted. Good people just sever ice has went down hill and stayed there. Just moved to town and had a white Ralph Lauren down comforter with a large read stain on it. Others have tried to remove it with no success, but these folks got it out! They said they had to clean it twice, which tells me that they take pride in their work. That and the fact that they're so close to my home make me a customer for life. read more

Am Cleaners is five stars all the way. The owners that run the shop are extremely sweet and always have my clothes ready on time. I took a pair of white shorts there that had a self tanner stain on it and I didn't think it could be removed however they got it out and they look brand new again. One really big reason why I go here is because the machines they use are hydrocarbon which is environmentally friendly and healthier (i.e. non harsh chemicals).
