August looked like a good shop when I saw their reviews and their website so I pulled the trigger. I'm glad they still had the size I had been looking for as it was a gift for my lady. Shipping cost was ok but having spent as much as that piece had cost, I was hoping it would be free. No complaints on packaging as it was shipped in a bubble-lined shipping bag. They have a good selection of footwear, outerwear and tees. Plenty of other categories of clothing. Hope to visit the shop one day. It kept me so warm and toasty in the brutal upper Midwest winters. I discovered the Marmot brand here in the 1990s. Back in the 1990s, Patagonia was not considered as "technical" and as bougie as Marmot and The North Face. Arcteryx either didn't exist or was an obscure brand almost thirty years ago. Now, Patagonia and Arcteryx are off-the-charts insanely priced. Marmot and The North Face are considered "value" brands. In any case, I still buy Marmot; it's better quality and far better value than Patagonia because: 1. Higher down fill power and 2. Higher down fill weight I recently bought a 700-fill down parka from Marmot with 220 grams of down for far less money than a 600-fill down parka with 150 grams of down from Patagonia. I was cold in the Patagonia parka, and it was horribly expensive. I had to return. I also bought coats from Eddie Bauer and from L.L. Bean. Nowhere nearly as warm as Marmot. The Marmot down parka that I recently bought is called the Montreaux Coat, and I've yet to find a warmer coat at such a great price point. It hits my knee, although it's supposed to hit my calf, so that's a bit misleading on their website. It's closer to parka length than coat length. I like that when the zipper broke after almost twenty years of owning my first Marmot down jacket, I called Marmot's Customer Service, they sent me a shipping label, and they said that they would gladly repair the zipper for me, for free. When they couldn't repair the zipper, they just sent me a new Marmot down jacket. So, I wore that complimentary replacement jacket for another ten years before finally buying the Montreaux coat this year almost thirty years after buying my first Marmot down jacket from Fontana Sports.

It's gated but my kiddo loves being able to see "Bucky's House!" Cool tip for out of towners. Prices are expensive, nothing like a $30 shirt and $75 jacket but what do you expect. Maybe not the best place to buy economical fan gear but they do have a nice, quality selection! The clearance rack has served me well! Very clean spot to shop around or see the field. Customer service is always friendly. No doubt we will come back as we can!

Went browsing at Fleet Feet looking for a possible walking shoe. I had not planned on making a…read morepurchase, just looking at options and had already been to several stores, as I have several issues with feet and knees. The lady who greeted me asked if I had an appointment, I did not. She proceeded to assist me anyway, using technology to analyze my feet and walking pattern. I was surprised to find out one foot had a very high arch, while the other was very low. Was never told this before and this information helped to explain a lot of things. My high arch was collapsing, affecting the ankle and knee and opposite leg as I was favoring one side over the other. Denise took A LOT of time with me, fitted me with several options of shoes and arch supports. I found one shoe with a support that gave me relief in my knee that I had not had for many, many months. It is shocking that relief could be experienced so quickly. Everything is not back to normal yet, but I am very happy with my purchase of shoes, arch support, socks. I highly recommend Fleet Feet and I would go again for the excellent personalized service. I would also recommend taking advantage of setting an appointment.

I had a great experience and even learned something new. I had no idea that when you use shoe inserts you're supposed to take out the original shoes insert. Mind blown. The staff is great and friendly. I cant recommend this place more. I'll be back in the future and hope to run one of their fun runs in the future.
