I spoke with Becky. She understood how important it was for me to schedule my son's surgery during his Christmas break out of college. She scheduled him for a consultation on Tuesday and oral surgery that Friday over Christmas. When Tuesday came, my son decided to tell me he had scheduled an overlapping appointment for his eyes. I wasn't aware that he was on this 3rd cancellation with this eye doc! I asked Becky how long the appointment might take and explained to her our dilemma.... well let me tell you, the staff jumped right in to help get us in and out of the consultation and on to the next appointment in lightening speed! Dr. Kreizenbeck was so friendly and accommodating. He answered the couple questions I had, talked to my son a bit to help ease my son's nerves. From Dr. down to the receptionist... they all helped speed things along. You have no idea how important it was for us to get to his eye doctor. With as many cancellations as my son had, they were ready to drop him! :\ SURGERY DAY - We got to the office, Becky went over post surgery care, we waited a bit (we got there early) - and when it was our time, we hit the ground running! It was over with in about an hour. I pulled around the building and Becky helped me get my son in my car. He was a bit sleepy... a little loopy, but not out of it. He was actually good to go and ate Panera mac and cheese afterwards. Day Two - My son's mouth was a bit tender, with VERY LITTLE SWELLING and practically no bruising. He stayed on top of the meds but after day 3, he was on ibuprofen as needed. Dr. Kreizenbeck's team did such an excellent job in handling my son's case throughout the whole process. They made us so feel comfortable and cared for.... all the while completely working with our family's schedule. I highly recommend this office - my only regret is not knowing about Dr. Kreizenbeck earlier and having my own oral surgery done here!

I was sore, but never had any pain. Sedation was essential to me. I inhaled some gas, so I was out, even before the IV went in. When I was awakened I was surprised when I was told it was done. I had no recollection, and compared to other times I've had anesthesia, I felt clear headed when I was wheeled out to my friend's car, and heading home. Desert Maxillofacial runs like a 'well oiled' machine. Everyone I met there was friendly, and knew exactly what they were doing. A few days before the procedure I picked up 4 prescriptions. Fortunately, I had no need for pain meds. Communication is excellent. I receive well detailed Post Op instructions. Someone called me the day after the surgery to 'check in,' and to remind me to start the prescription mouth rinse, and do warm salt water rinses. I make a point of doing my research before choosing a doctor. So I am used to excellent care. I believe that Desert Maxillofacial is the best run medical practice I have been to. I would never dream of going anywhere else for implants and dental surgery.

I have 22 crowns that have been replaced several times, I have experience. He removed a crown to replace it, and I swear I did not feel any pain. I think it is because they did not rush the Q-Tip numbing process. So thankful to have found a great office and Dentist, need a few more crowns removed. The problem was getting to this point. I made it very clear from the outset that all I wanted was a repair. I would come back in the future, If, when, I wanted a new set of dentures. I repeated this to the very pleasant dentist who recommended new dentures. OK. Then I was ushered into this room with a person who told me she wanted to go over a "treatment plan". I said I didn't want a treatment plan, that all I wanted was a repair. Despite my objections, she proceeded to show me a "plan" for a new complete set of dentures costing over $6,000. When I told her I was not interested in spending that kind of money, she offered a "discount" to something over $5,000. (This felt more like I was negotiating with a car dealer. I assume if I had not objected, I would have been charged the non "discounted", just as I would at a car dealer if I did not negotiate price.) I again re-iterated that I only wanted a repair. She then said she could offer yet another treatment plan. I finally just had to stop her and tell her I wasn't going to agree to any treatment plan. All I wanted was a repair. That, finally, settled it. After some difficulty in scheduling, which I won't go into , my denture wound up being repaired quickly. Cost $278. So, as I stated at the beginning of this review, I am satisfied with the outcome, but the path to get their was unnecessarily difficult and frustrating.

If they were closer to me, I'd make them my primary dentist!
