Update 8/19/2021 After Fraudulently taking money out of my account they have the audacity to send me to collections for a bill did I do not owe. If they want to put a ding on my credit I can put a ding on their reputation by posting on every outlet that I can about this horrible organization. Like I said in my last review Ron the other direction save yourself from the misery there are many other dentist out there. I had a very bad experience with this place. I went in needing a lot of dental work. I was seen by the dentist and then taken to a room where I was told how much it would cost to get my dental work done. They played good cop bad cop. Jackie gave me a quote which was out of this world. I said I have insurance. I was about to walk out when the Dr. came in and the price went down somewhat. I was in a lot of pain and had a very bad infection in my mouth so I was desperate to have the work done. I was sent to this Dr. by my insurance company. I agreed to a payment plan and had the work started. Jackie then went on to exhaust all my benefits on two insurance policy's one being a PPO policy. I was in the process of moving jobs and the Dr. wanted to get all that he could out of my PPO policy before I switched company's. The icing on the cake was they charged me thousands of dollars on top of that. I had partials made that never fit and I would go in a couple times a week to complain. I had blisters all over my gums and I was just being told that I would get use to them eventually . I never did. All this office did was keep charging my credit card. I finished paying what I owed them on a totally inflated bill . What could I do they had my credit card number. Jackie then called and said I owed them another thousand dollars and they tried charging my credit card over and over . My bank shut my card off in fear there was potential fraud . I then canceled my credit card and was issued another card from my bank. I was then called by Jackie on the average of 5 times a day. She said she would ruin my credit if I did not pay the outstanding bill. They never offered to fix the Inferior dental work that was done or finish what was not completed correctly. I was never allowed to speak with the Dr. to express my concerns . She would just hank up the phone after Threatening to ruin my credit. Jackie is the most unprofessional person I have ever come across. I have made formal complaints to the State of California and to my two dental insurance company's. My advise is to avoid this business completely and find a dentist that does not allow his practice to be run like a used car lot. I am contemplating taking legal action. read more

To be honest, I've never once heard of "Tellissi Family Dentistry" I was assigned here by my insurance. I used to go to Western Dental but NEVER again. I called to make my new patient appointment and spoke with a young lady by the named of Alyssa. She was very on point and on top with having me scheduled at my convenience and worked with me around my working schedule to make sure that it was not going to interfere with any other things that I have going on in my personal life. Once I arrived to the office she greeted me with a friendly smile and handed me my new patient packet (standard and understandable size of packet). The office was filled many of the doctor's personal family photos which made me feel even more at ease (I like family oriented people, shows that they care more about people and gives off a vibe of a friendly atmosphere). Anyways, the gentleman took me to the back to get my X-rays completed, he was GREAT! Then I was greeted by two ladies Erin and Jackie. They were amazing! They all had beautiful smiles and they all knew exactly what they were doing!!! You don't get that in many offices especially in big corporation dental offices. So it was nice. Finally the doctor came in, he was just as amazing and great! Asked me about myself and about my main concerns, if anything specific was bothering me and what were my options. The staff didn't seem to push anything on me when it came to my treatment plan(s). They basically showed me what it was that I needed to have completed what was my patient share and even broke things down to me in steps. Other offices that I've been too seemed to pressure me to start treatment right away and wouldn't even let me know why I needed to have that work done nor even explain. So that I give a 5 Star! After I signed all my paper work to begin treatment they made my appointment to start the following day. They were able to see me for my perio work and moved me into a different room where I met the Hygienist. Ashley, well let's first start off by saying that she's the most nicest person ever. Super sweet and kind. Not rough at all nor did I feel uncomfortable or was it awkward. She had a beautiful smile just like everyone else that was part of the staff. It's nice to see that everyone had a great smile. Made me feel confident that mine was going to be taken cared of properly and soon enough after my treatment that mine was going to look just as great! I love Dr. Tellissi and his staff! My previous dentist told me that I needed a root canal and crown on one of my back molars and I decided to see Dr. Tellissi instead of going back to that dentist because I just didn't trust what he told me...I had a "feeling" that he was trying to talk me into an expensive root canal that I didn't need. I had no pain or trouble with the tooth. Dr. Tellissi reviewed my x-rays and inspected the tooth and he said that I didn't need a root canal. I wouldn't have known any different if he said that I needed it done. Dr. Tellissi is an honest guy, as well as a skilled dentist. Further, Dr. Tellissi had to put a crown on another molar of mine and then it turned out that I also needed another crown on the molar beside it. Dr. Tellissi gave me a huge break on the crown, which was very much appreciated, especially after the holidays. I am so happy with this practice that my son is now a new patient of theirs. Dr. Tellissi's assistants are also wonderful. I always walk out of his office feeling confident that I wasn't sold a bill of goods and talked into having any dental work that I did not need. Oh, Dr. Tellissi has a great sense of humor and honestly, my mouth hurts MORE from laughing when I am there, than any dental work that I have done. I cannot recommend him enough!!!! This past Friday, I had a dental emergency after dining out with my friends in a restaurant in Palm Desert. I felt a piece of something hard as I bit in and upon spitting it out, I felt my tongue rubbing against something that felt sharp and jagged on my back molar. I wasn't in any pain but knew that my back molar must have gotten chipped. I couldn't eat the rest of that evening and was worried about lmy molar tooth. So I frantically started looking up emergency dentists on the Internet. That's when I found Dr Tellissi, who was the only dentist to accept weekend appointments. The Following morning I called and to my surprise Dr Tellissi answered his emergency line. I was able to get an appointment for 9 am. When I walked in, Dr. Tellissi was very friendly and understanding. After some paper work, he had me sit in the chair and took an x-ray and a picture of the tooth . My biggest fears were confirmed, the tooth had been chipped and due to it being a tooth were I had a rather large filling put in a few years ago, he told me Iwould need to have a crown. Being on the verge of tears, Dr Tellissi listened to all my concerns, answered my questions and tried to give me the best advise possible to remedy my broken tooth. I would definitely recommend seeing Dr. Tellissi if you ever have a future emergency or just need a compassionate dentist with good bed side manner for your dental care. read more

If you're terrified of dentists this is the place to go to! Dr Tellissi caters to dental cowards like me. Yes I'm man enough to admit to it. I came to Dr Tellissi with a broken tooth that already had a root canal. After getting a root canal done years back I refused to see a dentist as it was one of my worse experiences ever. Dr Tellissi took time to examine my tooth, understood my needs, and gave me treatment options; one of them was an implant. I must say it was one of the most amazing experiences I've ever head. Dr Tellissi managed to replace my tooth with a dental implant which looks and feels like my own tooth. It's hard to believe it's not my own tooth! When I compare the crown on my last tooth to the dental implant crown I'm amazed by Dr Tellissi's attention to detail. It really shows the difference between an average dentist and an exceptional one like him. I've been recommending Dr Tellissi and his staff to my family members and friends. I went to this dental office because they were having a very attractive new patient special and I was looking for a dentist in the desert. First of all, the office was beautiful and clean yet it had a family feel. The staff was so friendly and genuine. Jackie, one of the dental assistants, was amazing and made me feel extremely comfortable. She showed me around and walked me through everything so I wasn't so nervous. It really started from when I walked in; the front desk receptionist was very kind also and helped me through the process of signing up. The whole visit was just wonderful, I've never enjoyed a dental visit this much. I'll be recommending them to everyone I know.  Most importantly, Dr Tellissi is so knowledgeable and really wants to help you and make sure you understand what everything means. He's not only a great dentist...but very personable! He truly understands each patients' situation and genuinely ease up any of their concerns!!! if I could give more stars as a rating I would!! I have been coming to Tellissi Family Dentistry for quite awhile now, and let me tell you, everyone there is absolutely WONDERFUL! Every time I have gone in, they attend to me right away and address me by my name too! It always makes one feel 10x better when you are addressed by your name because you feel like you're more than just a patient to them. (that's how I feel anyways). Jackie, their dental assistant is absolutely amazing! if I could rate her, I would give her the whole 5stars! She is super sweet and always lovely to talk to. I've been to dental offices where their dental assistant just walks into your room, does what he/she has to do, and leaves. Oh but not Jackie! Again, she treats you and talks to you like you're more than just a patient and I absolutely love that! I highly recommend Dr. Tellissi's office! AMAZING & MOST COMPASSIONATE!! If I could give 10**stars I would. Beginning with his staff & to his work he is OUTSTANDING 10 plus. I've always feared going to the dentist, it's still not my favorite place since I've had such horrible experiences with previous dentist but I can come see the BEST Dr.Tellissi. I've been coming to his office for the past 2 years, when I first called his office on a Saturday, his office was closed. I left a message not expecting a call back. Lo and behold 15 mins. later HE CALLED BACK!!!! And on a SATURDAY!! I explained to him the situation, he called in a prescription for the pain & infection and scheduled me for the following Monday. Since then, he's done 2 root canals, a bridge, an implant and repaired previous dental work from a previous dentist PAINFREE!!! No need to look any further, THIS MAN IS AMAZING!!! THANKS DR. I had a big problem with my gums and contacted Dr Tellissi to see if I could get some help with the pain and uncomfortable condition I had going on with my mouth. The staff really took care of me and moved another patient around on the schedule the following day. Dr Tellissi and his staff did a thorough examination and xray for me and then fit me in for a repair of the damage. I would highly recommend Dr Tellissi! read more

I hadn't seen a dentist or had a check up for over a year and learned I had some gum damage that needed deep cleaning. I was referred to Dr. Tellissi office and was highly satisfied with everyone encountered; from the front desk to Erin, who did my xrays and pictures to Dr. Tellissi, himself.
