I started vaping 6 years ago. I was worried that smoke particles on my clothing were contributing to my son's chronic sinus infections. From what I can tell, that was the cause of his allergies and sinus problems since his allergies have not returned since I made the switch. I started with a BLU. I gave up analog cigs within a weekday was easy-peasy after my sense of smell came back (I never knew how bad I smelled!). BLU was a very attractive item, but its charger failed frequently and the pre-filled cartridges were expensive even though I had learned how to refill my own cartridges. The batteries didn't hold much charge and "died" easily. While in a local flea market, I purchased my first 510 introduction set. The quality blew Blu away. I continued to experiment with newer model batteries, atomizers , liquid flavors, and accessories. A few years later I quit vaping my e-cig altogether through the step-down method. I was vape-free and tobacco free for a year. Over the course of that year I learned more about the safety of e-cigs. I picked up vaping again with the full knowledge of how easy it was to quit vaping. I continued to enjoy vaping and don't anticipate giving it up again since I've found the perfect combo of battys, attys, and juice for me. AltSmoke has excellent customers service, a beautiful interior complete with vaping bar, and a broad range of liquids and large selections of quality batteries, atomizers, and accessories at VERY reasonable prices. The only draw back is that the store closes too early. If it was up to me it would stay open till 2:00AM Thurs-Mon because AltSmoke has the potential to become a late-night hot-spot for those who don't want to go out to another awful bar (this area is a little low on night-life). I'm a very thrilled customer of this establishment. If it seems that I'm overly excited about AltSmoke, I have good reasons.Having a brick and mortar store anywhere near me would have gotten at least 2 stars regardless of how it functioned/looked. This location has the added benefit of looking great and hiring enthusiastic, customer focused, employees. I would recommend this store and these products to anyone ( and I frequently do). Five Stars!! I absolutely love this store! I've been vaping for about 8 months and I'm the kind of guy who really digs into a new hobby so I figured I knew my stuff and felt good about my 900mah ctwist and vivi nova tank.. and then i went to AltSmoke and was blown away. There was so much I hadn't even heard about. It's not like there are commercials for these things... But the employees are all very well versed on each item in this store. It's refreshing to ask a question and to actually get an intelligent response these days. Not to mention that while your there you are the customer of interest. They make it such a great experiance. So now I've moved on to a few mods and some nice tanks..and Ive put together a nice collection of juices from the huge selection there. (Ask about Cell Block 4). I fully recommend vaping to all smokers.. and I've helped a lot of people make the switch but the thing that helped me do it was AltSmoke. When people see a small battery and tank they are just skeptical but when they see an itaste svd or mvp from AltSmoke they get so curious that they shut up and listen long enough to get convinced. AltSmoke is the best vape shop that I've been to in the area. It's tastefully decorated, has a huge bar with probably a hundred different samples of their juice to choose from, and all the gear that the beginner - intermediate vaper could ask for. Very well stocked shop. I was impressed with the customer service, who assisted me with an issue I had from a competitor's store in Florence. The representative walked me through a variety of their offerings and even gave me nice discount on one of their items. They also guarantee their hardware for 90 days, which is a big plus. Their prices are a little steep compared to online shopping but they are competitive compared to other brick & mortar stores. They also are offering a 30% discount for favorable reviews on Google, which likely explains their 4.9 out of 5 rating there. Aside from that, I was very satisfied with my experience, and though it's quite a drive from Covington, I'll happily make it should I need any additional vaping supplies. read more

Altsmoke is a great place to go if you are trying to quit smoking! I had to force myself in there to get an e cig and now I have to force myself to not go in and spend an entire paycheck. The employees are all as nice as can be. The products are awesome and you won't find many that are better. The store has good hours and has a big parking lot. I would recommend going to altsmoke even if your not smoker because vaping is awesome and I promise you will like it! It is child friendly. They usually have candy sitting around for the kids and if you have young ones they will put cartoons on the tv for them. Sometimes they have grill out with free food and awesome prizes. I had visited AltSmoke after a friend at work advised me about a brick and mortar store to get my vaping essentials. This place has everything that I could want. The staff is extremely helpful, knowledgeable and fun. The best part of this place is being able to sit at the bar and try as many flavors as you want until you find one, or more that you like. The cons, which aren't an issue for me, are sometimes it gets pretty busy and can be overwhelming if you need assistance. Also, there have been a couple times when the exact juice I wanted wasn't in stock(had to settle for different nicotine levels). For anyone that wants to get off cigarettes but has a hard time dealing with lack of nicotine, I would highly suggest checking AltSmoke out. read more

I am a 20 year smoker who went in with very little knowledge of vaping. After my parents, who were 40 year smokers recently quit I was inspired. The staff immediately welcomed me, seated me at the juice bar and was very clear about the prices of their starter kits. I felt at ease as the atmosphere was calm and the staff was extremely friendly. I cannot express my appreciation enough. We just started vaping to help us quit smoking analogs. So glad we have found Altsmoke! The staff is great! Very friendly and knowledgeable. Love the large juice bar where you can sit and try out the juices before you buy. I think the prices are very competitive. Some things may be slightly higher, but then again you don't have to wait days or weeks for mail order items to arrive and much more convenient if you need to return something. Just wished they would carry Hurricane vape juices. Also I was looking for a wood e pipe which they don't carry. :) All in all this is an awesome vape shop! read more

This place is awesome!!!! The selection is incredible, prices are great and staff are all VERY helpful. As a woman who frequently shops there alone, I was really surprised to read the other woman's review, as I've only experienced a welcoming feeling. You can come in and spend an entire afternoon with friends sampling different flavors of vape and building your own customizes vaporizer. Best selection of e liquid in town and plenty of room at the bar to try them! Staff is very friendly and knowledgable. Me and my wife both vape and love altsmoke! Even the kids like to go, they sit on the couch when the staff put cartoons on for them. Needless to say it is child friendly.
