I was hoping to find a few gems for my "A Little TOO Happy Hour". Where else are you going to go on "Stoner Christmas"? The thought was that this place would be a lot more "Grateful Dead/Phish Hippy-Dippy", but I quickly learned that hemp is a little more "Touch of Grey". That is to say: "boOoOoring". Hemp paper, hemp shirts, hemp necklaces are all totally there, but none have committed to any sort of discernible style. And they're all a little pricey. Compared to cotton, I'm somewhat sure that hemp is no more ecological, but I am absolutely certain that it is no more economical. I did come across some incense that was usable for my purposes, but clothing, stickers, and decorations: let's just say you'd be better off at Spencer's or a Walmart, as they were completely devoid of Grateful Dead Bears, tie-dye, Jimi Hendrix posters, and Rastafarian Lions. "Signs, signs, everywhere a sign": Upstairs and in the back is the super secret special "paraphernalia" room, er, I mean, "the pipes". There is an extra veil of security to this space. A bead curtain entry. Signage about how an employee must accompany you. More signs about using the proper terminology. Signs about asking the employees if you don't know the proper terminology. I think somewhere behind all the signs they were actually selling bongs and hookahs, er, water pipes? All that and "no long haired freaky people" whatsoever. Kind of the opposite of what you'd expect from a place like called "Hemptations".

So living in the city with a hundred shops, what's the best one to go too? Puff Why? The workers all greet you and direct all their attention to you to help you. For someone like me who knows nothing or what I'm looking for that is awesome. They also don't up-sale you or if they do I never noticed or felt like I paid for something I didn't need. Store is always clean, floors swept and glass smudge free. Prices are all comparable and I never feel not welcomed in this store. Highly recommend.

You go in and go out in a very narrow shared space. And there are parking spots quite near this in and out space, further crowding movement to and fro. As you are entering after turning from Dana there is very little to distinguish where the entrance is, perhaps due to local ordinance. A simple bright stripe (for instance) on the very edge of the building would distinguish where it all takes place. Which gets to the heart of the matter... The selection and the pricing of the products offered is well worth the trip. But I'll stock up the next time to limit those other experiences. The one star off is due to the parking lot situation. Simple fixes would make it safer and more welcoming.

I went this location yesterday to buy a battery for my new cartridge. The person behind the counter…read moresaid that they were out of all the normal batteries and that the only ones they had left were more expensive. I asked if I could try it in my cartridge and they said no because they couldn't verify what was in the cartridge which I totally understand. I then said what if the battery doesn't work with this cartridge? They replied we don't allow returns. So I asked how do I know this will work with what I have? 3 separate times this guy told me it's a standard size and it'll work. "It works with 90% of the cartridges out there". So I paid upwards of $30 for a small airflow battery that doesn't work with my cartridge. I call up Hemptations just to see if they'd make an exception on the return policy. The guy told me that he can't return for cash or store credit and that I'm stuck with it and I should wait to get a cartridge that fits that worthless battery. Then he suggested I take it to a state where drugs are legal and try to return it to a store there. I found an old battery around my house and once it was charged, it worked just fine with that cartridge so I know it wasn't the cartridge. In this day and age, with so many places to buy from, I recommend going to a place that cares more about their customers

And after that, there was still no change in both of the employees rude tone and they were not help in finding me a replacement, so I went to another store right down the road.
