He took me through the store and helped me get 11 cigars, I was hoping for 10, and although I spent more than I really wanted, I felt like I got a great value and a stunning selection. And on top of it I got a military discount. All pluses in my book. So new owner, but the service is outstanding and the offerings have expanded. It was a true pleasure to meet you Bhavik. Back when I was a first-time buyer, he took the time to educate me on briars, proper pipe care, and the craft of the leaf. The shop was pristine and well-stocked, with bulk blends kept properly in full glass apothecary jars and hand-packaged into proper roll-fold pouches. You walked out with quality tobacco and genuine knowledge. ​Walking in today, the new owner was polite enough, but the traditional pipe culture here is practically dead. The classic glass jars are gone, replaced by half-empty plastic snap-top Tupperware containers. I bought the dregs of his bulk Sutliff vanilla, and once I got home, it was bone-dry and smoked harsh--clearly stored without any proper humidity control. The tin selection is down to scraps (just a couple of Davidoffs and half-bare slots of Peterson), pipe inventory is stripped down to cobs and a tiny handful of older stock, and the shop is mostly dominated by massive bags of hookah shisha. ​What sealed it for me was watching a newcomer walk in looking to try pipe smoking. Instead of the mentorship and guidance I received years ago, the owner offered bare-minimum interest, didn't bother to explain the basics, and simply rang him up for a cob and sent him on his way. When I asked him for a blend recommendation to suit an older Peterson Dublin churchwarden, he couldn't offer any real insight, passion, or personal opinion--just a casual remark that more stock might arrive in "a few weeks," despite his shelves currently sitting hollowed out. ​A traditional brick-and-mortar pipe shop relies entirely on product care, working expertise, and an owner who actually cares about the community. This shop has lost all three and is now operating like any generic corner smoke shop that happens to keep a few neglected tins on a back shelf. It's a real shame to see what became of it.

This dispute can go on for 90 days with the bank so for those of us that live paycheck to paycheck this gas burdened me more then they may think! Bad customer service in my opinion! I'm not going to lie when I said I had very low expectations of this place, I am a bit of a prude or judgmental jerk because I think of smoke shops as quick places to jack up prices and make profit and don't really care. The customer service was excellent from the woman helping us. she was wearing a mask, as was the owner who I met later, and they made sure every customer that came in wore a mask as well. But unfortunately I only owned the vaporizer pen for about twelve hours before it stopped working on me. Or maybe the pain stopped working maybe the cartridge stopped working I don't know I bought them both there though. I went back in three days later without a receipt, but with a proven credit card statement. the owner just straight replace both, we couldn't figure out which was broken or why and he didn't care, he only cared about getting me what I had actually paid for. I'm still amazed by it, but on a day when I got some bad customer service elsewhere I was really happy to have received great customer service from a local shop. Support them!
