Wow, this place is great! I went here with my wife, two kids, and my niece. The kids were ages 11, 8, and 4. We all had a blast. This is such a great place to burn off some energy and get in a good workout! We purchased an hour of jump time and that was plenty of time. We were all covered in sweat by the time we left, and we were completely exhausted. Upon entering the facility, the check in line is to the left. The bathrooms and drinking fountain are in this same area. To the right are some computers for completing your waiver. Please note, you can complete the waiver online at home before you arrive to save time. They have a nice little food area where you can get food and drinks. The have great space for birthday parties and private events. There are some lockers available for purchase for storing your valuables. I just went back to my car and placed my items there, rather than paying the extra money for the locker. I was impressed with the variety of jumping activities that were available. They had a trapeze. I tried it myself and it was awesome! They have basketball hoops, one which is shorter and one which is taller! They have monkey bars (I made it across twice before my arms turned to jello). There is an area where only young kids are allowed, which is really nice. They have a dodge-ball game jumping area for dodge-ball games. They have a really cool area called the "wipe out" where bar spins around and you have to jump over it or it will knock you over. The"wipe out" gave me the best workout. I almost passed out after leaving it! Such a fun time. Overall, this experience was great! I cannot wait to go back!

    Miller Park Zoo

    Miller Park Zoo

Good place to explore with children in Bloomington. It turns out to be a bigger place than it…read morelooks. Miller Park Zoo is the highlight of this big public park and one of the best things about the city as well. Bad thing is there's an admission price. This is worth it for looking around once, and you can also get a membership if planning to come more times. Even though it's kind of small, it feels there's a lot inside and you can be here awhile. It's got an interesting history. The beginnings of the zoo started when a circus lion cub was found on this site around 1900, and the city named him Big Jim. After he died in 1912, funds were raised to open the Koetthoefer Animal Building. The zoo began lots more expansion in 1960 with the building that became the Tropical Rainforest Exhibit, and pools were built for sea lions and otters. A lot of animals have come and gone. There's currently flamingos at the entrance, monkeys, the Koetthoefer Animal Building has gibbons, langurs, and snow leopards, giant anteaters, lots of birds including bald eagles, the ZooLab has frogs and insects, several tortoises and there's wolves. It's about $9 admission for adults. They have a program called Junior Zoo Keeper that students can start in 5th grade, and they volunteer to learn and train. Good experience. This is an opportunity for local students. Have to say it's a good zoo for the city. It's located in the middle of the park. This is particularly a good one for young children, but it's open for everyone, so it's also okay for adults or whoever.

All I have to say that I am so glad I had a zoo membership someplace else and was able to get in…read morehere for free. Not a very large zoo at all , there was trash outside of the exhibits for the large cats area. The large cats were not outside. The small rainforest area they had smelled atrocious. Definitely not worth the price. There is a nice playground with a splash pad just outside the zoo. We did not go on the paddle boats or mini golf. There is lots to do at the park. Just the zoo left a lot to be desired. I have seen road side tourist animal world places that were better kept and maintained white more variety than this zoo.

I had never been there before , so I agreed and took the kids to Urban Air, Normal, Illinois. We arrived approximately 11 am an hour after the park opened. There was a sign on the door that the zip line was not in operation that day so that was a disappointment. Didn't realize that we needed to get the releases all done beforehand so took us a while to check-in and get all the releases we needed. While I was waiting on some info I was speaking to the person at the counter and asking which package they recommended for my teenagers? She basically read the menu to me without recommending or explaining anything. Decided not to get platinum but everyone purchased the next step down for $28 each. 4 of the 5 kids needed the special socks at $5 each. I didn't know it until later but for $33 discounted socks are included in premium pkg. While checking out, I started to notice most of the players running about were shorties, approx age 4-6? Needless to say, my teenagers stood out! We headed into the park and the kids quickly found out that all the "good" activities were Premium and not available to them. They tried everything available and within an hour were sitting with me in a booth playing on their phones. I offered to bump up everyone to Premium but no one wanted to stay as they were hungry and wanted to leave. Decided not to eat at Urban Air as I had already checked out the ladies room and other areas of the park. The ladies room was already a mess after being open an hour with only one barely functioning sink. The working sink only had one working handle that took some work to figure out how to actually shut off the water. The door to the lady's room was disgusting with fingerprints over 5 ft high and obviously not cleaned recently. Tables in the snack area had not been wiped. Very disappointed at our experience at Urban Air, I stopped a person in the blue management t-shirt and asked to speak with a manager. She wasn't able to assist and I asked a manager to speak with me and pointed to where we were sitting. Kids went to play while I waited 30 minutes. No one came over so we left to get lunch elsewhere. I feel that I shouldn't have let the kids pick the location or maybe done more research before we set out but overall, this park was a disappointment for anyone over 5 years old. My advice would be Urban Air great for little kids but find something else for teens. As far as the park itself goes, dirty, dingy and in need of some important repairs. Management communication terrible/ nonexistent. I would not recommend Urban Air, Normal, Illinois. P.S. Sorry this review was not done promptly but when you sign up to play at Urban Air, you agree to communication and every time I get another Urban Air email, I am disappointed all over again. I couldn't just unsubscribe without commenting on our terrible experience.
