I live in Springfield Illinois and the small community of Chatham just south of us suffered an unimaginable tragedy last week when a driver suffered a seizure and drove through a popular after school program killing an 18 year old an 8 year old and two 7 year old girls and causing injuries, some severe, to many others. The community, and all the surrounding communities came together to try to ease the unimaginable pain from this terrible event. The local Skyzone stepped up and provided a day of support for the children of Chatham. The community was touched by the gesture. Several $1000 was spent for the use of the space and for pizzas and other items. It is now being reported that the manager of that location was fired for this wonderful gift to a community of children who lost friends, siblings, family. Many of whom were in the building and witnessed the horrific aftermath. The remaining employees have put in their 2 weeks notice in support of the manager. Skyzone does not deserve your money and clearly has no sense of right and wrong, nor do they care about children. Our entire community is now boycotting them and hope to see it spread across the country In honor of these four girls and all those left heartbroken. read more

We just had a terrible experience at this location after having frequented many others. We paid $65 and jumped for 10 minutes before I was told by an employee I couldn't jump in the same square as my not even 2 year old. And I couldn't hold her either. I was supposed to let her just jump alone. Needless to say there were many other moms doing the same and no one was told otherwise, just me. I spoke to a manager and was told it was company policy. And that even during toddler time i couldn't hold my child so she could participate. While we were refunded and went down the street to bounce tag and had a great time, we're deeply frustrated at how management handled this. read more

I was mad that a kid took my turn but over all it was ok and I had fun so though he too my money

$225 for a 10 jumper party, the room, pizzas, and socks. I was okay with that until, although we booked the party weeks in advance, sky zone was unprepared for us. The kid checking us in scribbled the time slots on the stickers as he checked us in and informed us they were out of ALL youth sized shirts - which was included with the party package. Management, I'll give you some free consulting here: 1. This is March 2. Tomorrow have your staff check shirt sizes for all registered parties for this week and next. Also ask them to write the stickers for the appropriate number of jumpers. Also add the correct number of socks. Put in a bin with the party name. Order any missing shirt sizes OR discount the party price. 2. Splurge to put a drink dispenser upstairs so your party host doesn't walk up and down taking their turn at the one drink station in the cafe. 3. Greet your party reservations with a host to accommodate and answer questions. Seriously- nobody knew we were there for a party, several times we had to repeat our drink orders. Get it together!! And again seriously- 4. Use different color stickers for time slots. The place is overcrowded because "expired" stickers aren't enforced by staff. Announce the color expiration over the speaker. 5. Factor in the number of party jumpers if you truly limit each one hour session to 100 jumpers. Simple math was not happening at the venue today from 5-6. DO NOT CHOOSE SKY ZONE TO HOST YOUR PARTY (3454 Liberty Dr, Springfield, IL 62704) By far THE WORSE party experience that we've ever encountered. The services provided were extremely poor. We chose the highest package: Legendary and based on that package, we were to get t-shirt for guest of honor and goodies bags for jumpers in which WE DID NOT GET. Be aware that when Sky Zone says they're hosting your party, that means they're basically providing you the room, food and drinks (which you purchase as part of the package). There will be absolutely NO "host" helping you serve your guests or entertaining them. So, you will spend the whole time serving your own guests defeating the whole purpose of enjoying the party. Absolutely no instructions given on where to find utensils, cups...etc. They basically set everything on the table and leave. When I asked one of the workers who brought the food in how come my guests didn't get their "goodie bags", she said...in her exact words "I have nothing to do with it". Be aware when choosing this company to host your party because it's DEFINITELY NOT WORTH IT. Seek places like Chucky Cheese for overall better hosting/entertainment experience. read more

Overpriced, crowded, limited things to do for a small child or toddler. It's ridiculous to charge the same price for a 3 year old as a 10 year old. This experience was horrible. I went with my friend, her boyfriend, my other friend and me. the workers there gave us constant dirty looks and talked about us to other customers and workers. Someone needs to get their workers on a leash because this is unacceptable. read more

Manager (Don) seems to be more than a bit arrogant and perhaps afraid of his job. Our very well behaved and disciplined church group found them to very unaccommodating as we attempted to gain use of the facility for a group/team-building outing. We were willing to rent out the entire facility in August before or after their regular operating hours. We spoke with Don the manager, and he said he would call back to let us know. He NEVER called back. We called him several times and were promised each time that he would call back the next day. He never did (over a two week period) and left us hanging out to dry as he was well aware of the date we needed. This place is probably OK to take your kids for an hour or two during regular business hours, though it is pricey and seems to be overly restrictive. The levels of communication we experienced, the warmth and welcoming we should have been able to expect, and the professional customer service that would have had us coming back to Skyzone with our church group and our own respective families was simply, and very disappointingly, not received. Note; we are a very-well behaved main-stream group with disciplined leaders, and we would have been an easy group for them to add to their customer base. These kinds of lack of appreciation for prospective customers are what attribute to the downfall of otherwise, potentially diverse and eclectic attractions in towns like Springfield. Ownership and Management might consider and discuss how they can improve their business management practices to help ensure that they can continue to kindly, honestly and more humbly serve and attract more user/customers to their facility ! read more
