The quote was reasonable, he took care of my carpet and hard-wood floors, and he arrived promptly every day. My front-entry tiles look brand new (but they're not); he replaced the existing grout with a new product that has it looking bright and clean. See for yourself what a sterling job he did on my new bathroom floor tiles (see photo). What you can't see is the fact that he replaced the silicone along the walls and did baseboard repairs. The bathroom wasn't this good-looking when I first moved into my home 19 years ago!

The description was accurate, the price okay and I scheduled for 22 Oct @ 9AM. On Friday the 16th I had an unintelligible phone message, the only word I could understand was "grout". On Monday morning I called their office to see what the message was about. After being put on hole for 4-5 minutes the girl responded she didn't have any information and I offered "maybe it was to see if I had the tiles, which I do". She said "great, we'll see you on Thursday the 22nd". I cleaned everything off the new countertop and eagerly waited for their tile installer to arrive. Nine o'clock went by, 9:30, 10:00, and at 10:30 I called to see what was happening. The girl (same one) again put me on hold and when she returned said "You are scheduled for Friday, the 23rd and Saturday. My immediate response was "NO! It's today and tomorrow and I'm looking at the confirmation". Her response was "well we sent a text message this morning." I immediately responded "No you didn't! I'm looking at my emails right now and you sent no message to me!" Then she put me on hold again. This time it was "we can only get you on Friday and Saturday", which is when I blew my top. "I have other plans on Saturday, I'm not going to be home then. You confirmed the dates on Monday, the same as the quote and I don't have any choice but to cancel. I needed this done today!" Her response? "If you want to cancel please let us know this afternoon". And that was that. She just told me two lies and now my blood is boiling. I called another tile installer (5 stars) and they came out immediately, gave the same quote within a few dollars, but couldn't get to me until the following week. After thinking for a while I called my Saturday meeting and canceled. I called Grout Medic back and said I'd go ahead "but your man better be here on time!" Today is Friday the 23rd. Nine o'clock went by, 9:20, 9:30, 9:45. At that very minute their installer pulled up in front but sat in the cab talking on the phone. And sat there. Finally, at 9:50 I called Grout and said "Cancel the appointment." She asked if the installer was there. "He pulled up at exactly 9:45 but he's outside sitting in his truck. I'm fed up with you people and I don't want to work with you. Just cancel". She didn't hesitate "Okay, you're cancelled". What really xxxxx's me off is that I'm in the process of remodeling my home and I have another four tile jobs to get done in the next three months. My experience with Grout Medic (do they do tile work or only grout?) has been a miserable failure. The company is unreliable, unprofessional and worse, they'll lie to your face just to cover their mistakes. I wouldn't recommend this company for ANY work!

We first hired him back when he was known as "Steve Beam Handyman," and it's been amazing to see him grow and expand his services with the launch of Denver Remodels Inc. Over the years, Steve and his team have tackled everything from small repairs (like anchoring heavy drapery hardware into our finicky plaster walls) to major renovations (like restoring the exterior of our 1908 Craftsman). One of our favorite projects was transforming our mudroom by removing a wall and building a custom breakfast nook. This was a complex project, but Steve's expertise and creativity shone through. He even suggested a design element in the booth walls that perfectly complemented the Craftsman lines of our home - it's those little details that make a huge difference. What we think truly sets Steve apart is his incredible craftsmanship, creativity, and his consultative approach. He takes the time to truly understand your vision and offers expert guidance throughout the design process. Whether you're tackling a small project or a major renovation, Steve's deep knowledge and experience are on display with every project he does. He's always there to answer questions, offer suggestions, and steer you in the right direction, ensuring that the final result is even better than you imagined. His team is equally fantastic - professional, efficient, and incredibly skilled.
