Just to do a spot check, I called our security office to find out how many times someone had requested access to our condo. We are in a gated community where every guest has to sign in with security. They only showed 3 times during the 4 day. It should have been 8 times (two times a day). Upon questioning the Animal Nannies, they obviously got very defensive and did not believe us, suggesting that the security folks were lying. Ok, why would someone whose job is to record your name and license plate number every time you drive in, lie or hide the fact that someone was driving into the community? I'm still lost on that one...Long story short - I would stay away from these guys unless you like to pay for services that are not rendered.

They were great except they would not board longer than overnight. When I moved to Virginia, I found the Great Falls Boarding Kennels. They were wonderful and my dog did not mind going there. The first time I checked in they asked if my dog was up-to-date on his shots? They arranged for the vet who visits there to give my dog his shots. They also washed and poodle clipped him. We credit her KSR dog walker, Stefania, with bringing her out of her shell and teaching her to love walks. Stefania got Minnie to enjoy the outdoors and walks when we hadn't been able to. Stefania is amazing, a true dog--whisperer--and our pups love her dearly. We get a report after every walk, with pictures. I have an odd schedule so don't need walks every day and I was worried that would be a problem, but it hasn't been at all. Scheduling is very easy with KSR's website, and I can log in at any time and check it. Communicating with KSR is also extremely easy on their website -- I can message my dog walker or the KSR office. Payment is automatic every two weeks or so. Very convenient. We have also had KSR do petting sitting for us in our home, and that worked out great. This really is the perfect pet care company. Kelly leaves a little note every day with the time she arrived and what they did during her 15 minute visit. She is also very understanding and accommodating when I need him walked longer (30 minutes) or at a different time of day. In order to not be charged for a cancelled visit, you need to provide at least 24 hours notice, which is sometimes impossible because, hey, life happens. I understand they have a schedule to work around, but I wish there were 1 or 2 "freebies" for cancelling with less than 24 hours notice (or at least only charge half for 12 hours notice). That being said, I know my dog is in great hands while I am at work, which is extremely comforting. I would recommend Wagabout to anyone who is looking for a dog walker in Bethesda or surrounding areas!
