I had an issue with my insurance because of the discontinuation of Pacific Source in Lane county. For some reason, I wasn't automatically transferred to Trillium. I received a voicemail from Mobility Project saying they canceled all my appointments. They did this without consulting me, offering for me to pay out of pocket, or just keeping my appointments on the books for when I got put on Trillium (which only took about a week). I had my appointments booked out for months because of my tight schedule. When I called to reschedule, my spots were taken, so I have to wait over a month now to return when I am in constant pain. I asked to be put on the waitlist, and then they tried to hang up on before I could schedule out further. When I respectfully expressed when had happened, they said "uh-huh." Unfortunately I have to keep dealing with this staff because nowhere else in town treats my specific symptoms. This causes so much anxiety and I feel completely disrespected and dismissed. They have a complete lack of empathy. I am extremely disappointed.

Des listens to your needs and knows how to encourage you to set goals and meet them. Des has worked with my husband on and off for several issues over the years. Most recently he was having great difficulty with balance, getting out of chairs, and barely able to walk more than 50 feet. In the last five weeks, Lane County Mobile Physical Therapy has worked with him to develop strategies and exercises to improve his balance, strength and regain his independence. My husband can now get out of chairs on his own. He is walking daily and is up to a 1/4 of a mile and continues to regain balance and expand his goals. He is even back to helping in the kitchen. Scheduling is easy. Comunication is excellent. I recently had an injury from exercising. Lane County Mobile Physical Therapy gave me several options to come to our home the same week. Des assessed the injury and gave me some movements to help relief the pain. The day, she checked back in with me to make sure I was continuing to improve. I had two hip replacements in less than a year. The first hip dislocated six weeks after the…read moresurgery. As I was recovering from the dislocation, I fell and injured my shoulder, which resulted in rotator cuff surgery. Following each of the first two surgeries, (hip and shoulder) I received physical therapy on a weekly basis, but because of restrictions imposed by insurance companies and practices of the clinic, the therapists were able to either treat either my hip or my shoulder, not both at the same time. At the end of my allotted visits, neither joint was functioning properly and the second hip was deteriorating rapidly. After the second hip surgery, I began working with Devin. She took a holistic approach to my case, working not only on recovery of all three joints but also addressing the anxiety and trauma that the dislocation and frequent emergency room visits had caused. Our appointments were in my home, where she could show me where and how to practice each exercise. Eventually, we met at a therapy pool and a fitness center and walked around the neighborhood as she gave me tips on overall strengthening and improving my gait. I am currently working toward a hike to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and back, and I firmly believe I owe my recovery, physical and emotional, to Devin.

I had been living with persistent hip pain and had no idea it was related to my pelvic floor until I saw Devin. The Visceral Manipulation she has done has helped me to breathe easier - I have more space to take full inhalations and can exhale further than I ever realized. Initially, I saw Devin about 6-8 times in clinic as a physical therapist. By then, I had graduated to her strength training program and now I swing kettlebells with her twice per week and see her in clinic about twice per year for regular tune ups!
