Summary:
- Great in all categories, resulting in wonderful meal along with lasting memory
- Food: fresh ingredients, excellent recipe, crafted with excellent skills, resulting in great taste (and presentation)
- Service: several waitresses spoke English, which was good for this tourist. Still had to wait longer than what Americans are used to, but not as long as most restaurants I've been to in this city.
Menu does not have English, and most pictures on internet are no longer valid, since this restaurant has seasonal menu.
Bread, complementary: served warm ( no butter), and fresh (had not been sitting out very long).
My meal:
- Salad: House salad had fresh greens, good variety of veggies and a spectacular dressing
- Entree: local perch was fresh (never frozen), perfectly cooked and lightly seasoned, with a Demi glacé along with potatoes, green beans (superb)
Dessert:
- chocolate cake, garnished with berries and high quality Swiss dark chocolate
- Cappuccino: excellent
Seating: on the patio, in shade of trees, and temperature perfect (70 degF, July).
The only negative is something they can't control outside: cigarette smokers. Occasionally wind would waft smoke my way and distract me from an otherwise great experience. I am still amazed that these climate control fanatic countries allow such carbon emissions! :-)
Note:
Patio seating until 8pm (gets cold and too dark)... except reservations of parties. read more
