Another caregiver appeared to not be able to read English. Concern if assisting with medication or reading instructions for care. Advised agency of these issues and attempted to email the owner, no follow up. The care manager seemed inexperienced and not interested in trying to improve our experience or keep our business. Very unfortunate that my terminally ill father had to have this experience during the hardest time in his life.

Long story short, he stole a lot of money from my sister, he alienated her from her friends, her neighbors and our family. He convinced her to remove me as POA and he took over her bank accounts by lying to her. When he was finally fired, he moved in with her. This all happened in less than three months. He seemed as though he was a seasoned scam artist. He took off with her when the police arrived to serve the Order of Protection. Multiple welfare checks by police, multiple reports to adult protective services and finally court dates convinced my sister he was not going to marry her and she began to realize the truth. It was an absolute nightmare. I don't know what kind of background check they did on this Lowlife, if any. Not to sound sexist, but perhaps they should revisit their policy of sending male caregivers to wealthy widows.
