Many times were such fun, others had given birth to a brood of problems - some yet to be revealed, others are front and center. On the other hand, I do feel I've pickled myself perfectly. Throwing the weights of plates around, pounding the pavement each and every day by fleet of foot & while festooned with winter regalia. As it stands today and hence forth, I'll just follow my Blue Ribbon Manifesto of Happiness and Satisfaction and Peace of Mind and with that comes the occasional tumble and rumble with the bottles. Bourbons and Rye caught my eye as do all the Scotchs that heed my name, with out the second 'N' but Johnny, Elijah, Glen and I aren't hanging out this day, for I see another old time buddy NARRAGANSETT. (I've got some high-end Bourbon junkie friends and they're all kinda weird & snooty patootie - yet still pay less tax than I, I who used an excellent Jewish accountant - it's Humbug I tell you). Healeys lead the league in my recollection of Gassett options, so I pulled and pried the big boy boxes out from their cold reach in cellars and thrust them upon the unsuspecting counter vigorously yet still unaware of how my antics have the locals with one hand on the 911 speed dial. I guess they see drinkers so puffed up with juice and fake hard courage that get angry with the wind blowing in their faces and wanting to beat the ground for touching their feet, they are unaccustomed to happy go lucky me It was a wonderful store with the kindest faced woman at the register, so I slung the sack of brewskis upon my back and off we went -- With Iris!! I just adopted another Rhodesian Ridgeback and still have plenty of room in my modest Forest Hills home.

I've encountered three different employees and each one seemed genuinely interested in helping me find what I was looking for. The prices were on par with other stores (and much cheaper than a certain very large wine store nearby). The parking lot is ample and easy to get in and out of.

I googled liquor stores near me and was shocked to find there was actually a store nearby that's actually open until 11 pm!! This is unheard of, I said to myself. This is insane that it's only two miles away!! I said to myself again. Jumped into my car and arrived at this cute little store located off Park Avenue in Cranston (which I'm still getting used to bc I moved here recently). This beautiful woman dressed to The Nines approached me and asked me what I was interested in. I told her I was thinking about Rose wine. She asked, "what's your price point?" I honestly answered, "It's pretty low tonight. Already spent enough eating " loll She pointed out a nice bottle and I also bought some nips from their amazing selection (these will be consumed at the Blues and Barbecue Festival on Saturday!). This is a small but very well organized store and their customer service is second to none. I wish I could have captured more pics but the WiFi wasn't working. Thank you for great service!

They greet you when you come in, and will always listen to your wants and needs and base their recommendations off that. I consider myself an "adventurous drinker" and Capital Liqours is always the first place I go. Is it a bad thing that they know me by name, and miss me if I'm gone? I think not! I cannot say enough great things about this place...oh its clean, bright and easy to navigate!

Our whole family can't stop talking about how good everything was. That says a lot. First, the space. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the acoustics are genuinely impressive. My grandfather wears hearing aids and he had zero trouble following conversation all night. That's rare and it meant so much to us. We had a reservation and they sat us early, which immediately set the tone. The bread and bread oil kit they bring out? Do not skip it. Just trust me. We had kids with us and their food came out so fast I actually laughed. Our food followed shortly after and the pasta was truly exceptional. Just genuinely high quality, generous portions, and completely worth every penny. We were shocked at how affordable the bill was for what we got. Our server Envy was an absolute gem. Friendly, attentive, and so kind. But honestly the whole staff was like that. Other servers who weren't even in our section came over just to joke around with our kids. The table was never cluttered. A dirty dish sat in front of us for maybe ten seconds before it was gone. I travel for work domestically and for pleasure domestically and internationally and can say that Bar Lino is the only flawless restaurant experience I have ever had. Flawless from start to finish. We will be back. Bring everyone you love!

Napoli. Fondi. Itri. That last one matters. That's where Joe and Esther DeQuattro's family recipes come from. That's the promise on the wall. Joe and Esther have been building serious Italian restaurants in Rhode Island since 2002. Pane e Vino on Federal Hill. Massimo, also on Federal Hill. Bar Lino is the newest, and they've built something that has no business looking this good in a Johnston strip mall. Red leather barstools, black tile floor with white cross inlay, globe pendants, warm light, a full liquor wall. Walk in and you forget where you parked. Start with the meatballs. Two of them, in sauce, with a dollop of ricotta on the plate. Tender, dense, moist all the way through. The sauce and the meat came from the same place of intention. Sunday dinner The ricotta cooled things down just enough. Get these. We went for the grandma pizza. Fior di latte, pepperoni, black olives added. It arrived on a sheet pan looking exactly right, cut into squares, edges golden. The crust looked like it would crunch, somewhere between focaccia and Pizza Hut visually and in its golden brown texture, but it didn't deliver in either direction. The sauce soaked into the dough. The cheese separated from the top. The pepperoni carried the pie, crispy-edged and punchy, and did it well. The grandma pie has four versions on the menu. The one with pink vodka sauce and roasted garlic might be worth the next visit. If I come back again I am probably going to shoot for a chicken or veal parm because I think they probably do an excellent version of that based on all visual cues. Service was professional and well-timed. There when you needed them, gone when you didn't.
