this is a great wine and spirit store very close to where I live. When I'm feeling for something outside of my comfort zone, I'll usually come here to figure out what my beverage of choice will be for the evening. Tonight I decided to try the lemon flavored vodka by deep Eddy. For some reason, I thought it was going to be a week flavored vodka so I poured an 8 ounce glass and that was a big mistake lol. I poured half into another glass for later (maybe) and I added club soda and some sprigs of mint to this glass as well as ice cubes. It's delicious. The store itself is very clean and organized, and I'd say if they don't have what you're looking for I would be shocked. They also have an impressive line of mixers from many different companies, which was pretty impressive. You want a jalapeño infused simple syrup? They have it (yes I know it would be pretty easy to make by scratch, but it would be a little time-consuming and sometimes we're just lazy). well I tried to reach out to management before making this review, but your first shift guy with curly red hair, is a thief who withholds your change when you pay cash!! It has happened so many times, that's it definitely is no honest mistake. He will hand you your cash back, but pretend he forgets to give your coin change. I will go elsewhere bc that's not good business!!! read more

There are liquor stores and then there's Heritage Liquors. Sure you can go bigger, but why not go Best. Heritage has some of the best spirits and liqueurs, wines, beers and ciders and they are abundant here. The clerks, helpful and polite. But if you get the hands-on owner, then you've got a guy with passion who cares about his customers and their choices. Ask him. He'll try to find it for you. Go. Great finds. Great Selections. Heritage Liquors has never let me down. Since I moved to RI and now have started to shake off that "liquor store" stigma from the West Coast, the only liquor store I feel good visiting is this one. Spacious aisles, clean, easy-to-locate brands and categories, ample selection, big parking lot and busy area. I've hardly needed any assistance finding what I want. The owner walks around a lot and is helpful but never intrusive. I almost want to make up an excuse to take him up on his offer for help but really, the merchandise organization is efficient that I hardly need any. I come here for good wine selections -- from the New World to the Old World, they are stocked. Including top Asian alcohol -- from sake to those neat Ty Ku liqueur and plum wine. I only wish they would carry at least one other Plum wine brand and VuQo vodka (real coconut distilled vodka from the Philippines, not just flavored). read more

A decent big box liquor store that is conveniently located on the Reservoir Avenue drag. I stop by here to pick up for a couple of BYOB's I like in the area and I always can find what I'm on the hunt for... The prey? Usually a chilled bottle bottle of Sauvignon Blanc with a mid-range label (under $20/bottle). They do have a decent selection of beers - nice craft beers included. On a recent trip I grabbed a single of Jack D'or which the huz loves. Wide aisles of wines organized by area of origin. Fine selection of liquors as well. Brightly lit. Clean. Perfunctory polite staff. Willingness to help but they won't give me "warm and fuzzy I want this place to be my store for life" kind of feeling. Gets the job done. Prices on the mark. Even though I live in Providence, I usually travel to Yankee Spirits for beer or liquor...but a few days ago, I just needed a few things, so I decided to stop by Heritage Liquor. It was on my way to other errands that I needed to do that day..... I found the prices reasonable and the beer selection was extensive. Heritage Liquors is conveniently located on Reservoir Avenue, and has some pretty decent prices for liquor, compared to Wines and More next door to Whole Foods. For Cranston, I feel this is one of the more reasonably priced large liquor stores. The selection here is very good, and I can't really comment on customer service because I've never asked for help, but the cashiers are friendly, and that's pretty good in my book. If you live in this part of Cranston, this is going to be a solid choice for a local liquor stores! read more

Found this liquor store by chance and there are all sorts of gems here plus the staff is very knowledgeable and have lots of recommendations. Enjoy going, staff is welcoming & helpful. What happened to this store? Oh yeah, new owners. It now difficult to simply walk in the front door. There are empty, full, half full cases of everything imaginable just strewn about or stacked up next to the shelving. Had to move a couple of boxes to grab a bottle of wine. People are just taking bottles out of open boxes. I guess shelf product rotation is over-rated. Whomever is charged with re-stocking shelves hasn't a clue and apparently management does not care. One has the step over or around this trash. An accident waiting to happen. And the floor, at least what isn't covered with boxes is FILTHY. Hasn't been swept or washed in weeks. I see the same pieces of trash on the floor every time I go in. Well, the weeks old trash and the daily new trash. There is dirt on the floor. Lots of it. It's getting disgusting. Oh yeah, the 1/2 full bag of ice melt, from last winter, is still on the floor between the 2 exit doors. I guess they are expecting an ice storm. read more

My go to LQ store on the weekends. I cant find much to complain about, as it ALWAYS has what I'm looking for, plus a good selection of what I'm not looking for. I've never had trouble finding anything, aisles are good size, so I'm not bumping into other patrons who might be looking for the same thing as I. It's a little further down the road from me than a couple other LQ stores, but I dont mind making the drive last an extra couple minutes, especially since it's priced much better than said LQ stores. Totally worth it. I'm only giving it 4 stars though, because I think the cashier undresses my boyfriend with her eyes O.O read more

While this store was not the most inviting visually, they have a great selection of my go to liquors, beers and ciders. I recently called Heritage this past Sunday looking for a hard to locate Mckenzies cider and low and behold, they had a case in stock. The employee asked if I would like it held aside and when I arrived just before the store closed, it was waiting for me at the Register. Great service, friendly staff and I saved $10.00 buying by the case. Happy customer! read more

Should have just gone to Wines & More on Sockanosset Road. My sister and I only stopped here because we didn't want to go all the way down into Cranston after a long hot day, full of various activities. We go in to the store and a lot of the wine selections I usually look for were not there. No one asked for help if we needed help. Then, as we head to the back of the store where the coolers are, an employee starts following us. He pretends to open one of the coolers and then as we were walking away he shuts it midway and continues to follow us around the store. I did have to ask for help but they were not really friendly or happy to do their job. I will never come back here, they need to learn customer service skills, they need to know what to stock (like local products).I really recommend Wines & More, forever and always. Great selection of craft beer at extremely reasonable prices (usually $.50-$2.00 less than at other stores). Staff is very friendly. I love that they carry lots of local, Rhode island beer (foolproof and grey sail!). Wonderful selection of craft beer. My only critique is that they keep the craft beers on the shelf and the big brands in the fridge. I think it would be nice to pick up some cold foolproof, grey sail, or revival. They should give a little fridge space to some of the smaller brands! Overall very impressed! Store is clean and easy to get to and has a lot of parking as well. read more

Stopped in before having a few people over and didn't find their selection for beer or alcohol all that impressive. If you're a college kid and want to pick up some PBR or Natty Ice at a decent price this is your stop.... otherwise this probably isn't the place for you. The last two times i've gone here they've been "out of stock" of what i've requested and will have it in "tomorrow". I'll try to make this short :) My husband would think I was weird for taking the time to write this review, but I was impressed with the help I got here. We live near Garden City, so there is a liquor store a little bit closer than this one. Out of convenience, I typically go to the closer store when we need something. On this occasion, I was looking for Watermelon Pucker for a pink sangria recipe. The closer store didn't have it, and when I asked about it and told them what I needed it for, I just got a, "Sorry, I'm out of it." Heritage was next closest store I could think of. They didn't have it either! I started to think it was something to do with the distributor or something. When I asked the cashier if they had smaller bottles or anything similar, she tried to help me. She suggested watermelon vodka, but that wouldn't be sweet enough. So she went over to the manager (I think?) and asked him and he went over to the aisle with me. He couldn't really think of anything either, and then the cashier suggested a different liquor (called kinky). It was passion fruit flavored, not watermelon, but after using it, I think it turned out even better. So what's the point? After going to the first store (where I bought most of the ingredients for the sangria, $60+ worth) I was impressed by the assistance I received at Heritage. It probably doesn't seem like much, but they actually seemed to care enough to help me out and make the sale, even though they didn't have what I was originally looking for. The cashier was very friendly, and the experience made me wish I had done business with them for the entire ($60+) purchase instead of the first store. We have been shopping here for a long time but not anymore. Went in 10 minutes before closing. While trying to make a selection one of the employees decided they simply had to sweep that particular aisle. Making us move out of the way not once but twice. Okay, not so bad but as we tried to select a 12 pack the same employee decided that was when he should go shut off the lights to the coolers and the back aisle. It was still a few minutes before closing and we were standing there in the dark. At the register I asked if it was normal for them to shut off the lights on customers before they are done. His reaction was too look at his watch as if it would be ok if it was after 10. It was currently 9:58 and his reply was "not normally". He offered no apology and me asking had generated some interesting looks from other employees behind the counter as if my comment was unreasonable. Taking our business elsewhere from now on. read more
