Dr V and Dr F are great ! I'm currently going to Alpine Vet and have taken approximately 12 different fur babies over the past 30 years to Alpine Vet... my experiences with Dr V and Dr F have been good... over the years Dr V has helped me in many ways with some very serious situations I have encountered... I would recommend Alpine Vet

The End of a Journey of a Life well Lived , surrounded by Love and kindness As my Buddy Boy begins his journey to the Rainbow Bridge , I wanted to say.......Thank You DR. VIRK for the utmost care and kindness during his 17 years and 7 months of a beautiful life . You have given him the gift of comfort , compassion , generosity and grace through the many moments of challenging illnesses . You have gone above and beyond in making sure that his needs were attended to, no matter how busy you were. . You have given me the peace of mind and comfort when he was ill or simply just having his dental cleanings , concerned about general anesthesia . He always came out with brighter teeth and good smelling breaths. Your expertise in Veterinary Medicine made Buddys life pain free by his monthly treatments for his arthritis. You practiced Safe Medicine by advising me to see a specialist when you felt it necessary for Buddy's well being and safety. Our gratitude goes to your wonderful Staff who were always kind and caring. May the goodness of your heart that you have shared with me ,my Buddy Boy return back to you a hundred folds . God bless you Dr. Virk and Thank You for being you ....a wonderful human being who truly cares about his furry patients and their families. Good night and Good bye from Buddy Boy

I am grateful to Dr Virk and staff for saving my girls life. She had a horrible condition call rectal prolapse. I wasn't able to find a veterinarian who would see her in my local area. A friend suggested Alpine and mentioned Dr. Virk would see urgent care patients. They took her in had me sign a bunch of papers. She had an emergency surgery that day. She was on fluids and great pain management. I wish I lived closer but I will be coming here again. When I came to get Shelby , Dr Virk said she should be a therapy dog. I warmed my heart how much they love her . Very special place

Alpine Vet is the best vet ever! They have treated my lab and my Frenchie! Both doctors are very attentive and have helped my Frenchie multiple times! So kind and caring! Really making me feel like they care about my baby and helping her get well! I have tried other vets in Concord and have not gotten this care anywhere! They are also very affordable! All of the staff have been amazing also! Treating me like my dogs matter listening to my cries and getting me in for an appt when needed! I can't thank the entire staff of this office for all the hard professional work they do! If they put you on hold they always come back on and let you know why the hold is taking long or if you are waiting in the room they also keep you updated on when the doctor will be in! Thanks again Alpine vet! We love you! Lilly says thank you too!

We will always be grateful for Dr Virk and Dr Freeman. We have brought our fur family to Alpine through Alpine's three address changes. It must be close to 30 years and we have always had a large fur family. We will ALWAYS respect and trust Dr Virk and Dr Freeman. Thank you Alpine

My wife and I rescued a dog from China. They scheduled an appointment for her spayed at this veterinary. Once my dog and I arrived at the office. The staff at the front desk were chatting while I was just standing there waiting. I thought it was unprofessional with no greeting at all. Once checked in, we had to wait about 15-20 mins until our appointment. They took so long because the lady told me they were having trouble verifying our dog's adoption company. The tech arrived and took us in the room to explain the treatment. My dog is a people person and very lovable, but there was no emotion from the tech or any of the staff. I've been to other vets where they actually pet dogs and are very affectionate. The stitches were supposed to be removed after 2 weeks, but was delayed a few days because Dr. Virk had COVID. I don't understand they don't even have another veterinarian to remove the stiches? We had no choice but to come here, but it was the very last time.

My rescue kitty fully recovered from neuter.

Well organized, compassionate and knowledgeable staff and doctors. Hey took great care of my rescue cats- spay and neutered, gave immunizations.

Ask the Community - Alpine Veterinary Hospital

My dog has a mass under her arm. Initially I was told she would be fine but I think its bothering her/ she is now limping. How much does it cost to be seen and services?

If you have never been to our office before when you call and make your appointment let the receptionist know you've never been to our office and want the free exam. The doctor can give you an estimate on what it would cost to have it removed

Do you guys do Wellness check for birds?

What's roughly the price of a canine teeth/ tooth extraction? If weight is a factor he's a 13 yr old and 12.6 pounds.

Dentals start at $750 it does not include extractions. Without seeing the dog it's very hard to give you a total price

How much do you charge for a cat's dental cleaning and possible extraction?

My cat's cleaning itself was almost $600, but then you add the meds, plus one extraction, the total was about $800 or so for me. Each case is different and prices may vary.

Do you do c-sections ? Can't plan for it.... Labor starts or temp drops to 97.... It's time.

Yes Alpine Veterinary Hospital does preform C-sections. I recommend a visit before that. So they have important information on your dog etc... before C-section is nessary. I highly recommend Dr Virk DVM there. Excellent knowledge and client/patient… Read more

My cat won't come out from under my bed well only to eat but then he goes right back so I bring him in?If I do how much would it coast me?

Exams are $55. Any diagnostic testing would be extra.

They were so kind and made the whole experience (which was of course still awful + heartbreaking, but that's not their fault) as smooth and gentle as possible. We were provided blankets, allowed to hold him on our laps, and we even saw Dr. Nguyen give him a couple gentle pets each time he administered any drugs. We were already aware that everyone working at Disney really cares about each animal on an individual level, but this experience really emphasized it for us. We also were appreciative of the honesty we were given. We were told that we *could* probably keep our dog alive longer, but that his quality of life would be practically nonexistent. I can't overstate how grateful we are that no one tried to dance around it just to spare our feelings or squeeze more money out of us on treatments that weren't in his best interest. There's a reason we trust the staff at Disney so much, and it's because we truly believe they have our pets best interests in mind, above all else. We also later on received a condolence card that appeared to have a handwritten message and was signed by most, if not every staff member (there were at least 7-8 signatures). Our whole family is so, so grateful for the amazing care that Disney provided during our dog's life and even more grateful for making his last moments so peaceful for him. We're so lucky to have found such an incredible veterinary provider and are incredibly appreciative of all the wonderful people who work to make it that way.

It was a very difficult and vulnerable time for us, and every single worker was patient and compassionate. Prior to his euthanasia appointment, the doctors and vet assistants worked closely with us for weeks and ensured every test and every option was considered to determine a strong diagnosis. During this process, not ONCE did they push euthanasia.. they left it up to us to decide that which is something we appreciated very much. They reassured us that they were able to be reached via email, text and/or call to update them on Kitty's treatment at any time. They were responsive and on top of every little thing. Of course, Kitty was a 16 year old bombay and could not function like a normal cat any longer even with the extensive treatment that was prescribed to us. His health deteriorated rapidly due to his illness (hyperthyroidism) that not even the medicine could treat. We then had to make one of the hardest decisions of our lives to put him down so he can finally live a life of peace. Thank you to the health care team (Dr. Narg, Sheila, Leah, Marissa, and many more) for treating Kitty, my partner and I with so much tender care and I will never forget how comfortable you all made us feeling during this very hard transition. If you are ever considering euthanasia, or even just in need of general care for your furry friend(s), do not hesitate and come here. What used to feel like a place focused on helping animals now feels rushed, impersonal, and centered around pushing medication rather than providing thoughtful, compassionate solutions. Throughout my experience, there seemed to be very little effort to discuss alternative options or genuinely address the root of my dog's issues. Instead, the only solutions presented involved continuously prescribing more medication without much explanation or care for long-term wellbeing. What was even more frustrating was being charged a "service fee" that staff could not clearly explain when asked. If clients are expected to pay additional fees, there should at minimum be transparency and professionalism regarding what those charges are actually for. I understand veterinary medicine is difficult and clinics are busy, but compassion, communication, and honesty should still be basic standards of care. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling unheard, overcharged, and far less confident in the clinic than I once was. Stay away from this place.

The last thing I wanted to do was to traumatize my terminally ill kitty with a car ride to a cold, sterile vet's office (no offense to any vets) like I've had to in the past. The…read morethrough line is that they dont check your animals' medical records, their care is completely substandard, and they have zero compassion for you or your pets. I took my senior dog here to get treated for vestibular disease. He seemed to be on the mend when he became lethargic two days later. I rushed there just for a different vet to tell me I needed to euthanize him because he was "no longer himself anymore." It was clear she didn't read his chart bc he was a healthy dog before those last couple hours. In shock, I pressed for more info and she shared he had a 102 degree fever. I pleaded with her to give him fluids and treat his fever. he completely recovered until passing of old age two years later. I recently took my 4 month old rescue puppy here after he started throwing up all food and fluids. Suspecting kennel cough, they grabbed him from my car and took him to their isolation rooms. After much waiting and worry, the vet comes out and sternly tells me the puppy bit their tech and he's being reported to the county and they're worried he has rabies. I'm completely shocked and flabbergasted they didn't bother to read the vaccination records I shared or care that he's a traumatized former stray dog I've had for a week. I would have thought precautions would have been taken to either be gentle with a traumatized puppy or use a muzzle. Knowing I took him there for dehydration, they keep him alone in a kennel for nearly four hours, giving zero water because they "didn't want him to throw up." I called several times for updates and eventually had to park myself at the front desk, or it probably would have been an even longer wait. Finally I get one dropper of meds for kennel cough, get him home, and he immediately throws it up. That was the reason I took him there in the first place except now he's even more dehydrated. I desperately call and they say the doctor will call back asap. Did they call? Of course not. A second dog of mine would have died needlessly if id trusted their care. Thankfully a kind vet close to home agreed to see him after hours, gave him IV fluids, and prescribed meds for coughing and nausea. PS Sage recommended $1,100 worth of needless tests and x-rays that refused because I didn't want him there alone for four more hours with no food or water. But didn't feel the need to prescribe any meds that would help him eat or drink. If you love your dogs stay far far away from this place unless you have no other choice. I've never been so disappointed in an organization in my life.
