Just pour yourself a little cup
Matt G.

Inside the little mall area right by the river bridge. There are so many types of olive oils and balsamic vinegar flavors. You can sample as much and as many as you like. The balsamics have some very distinct flavors. I like jalapeno, espresso, coconut, pineapple, lavender and pomegranate. If you're trying to eat more salads, get some of this stuff, it will spice up any salad. Small bottles 10 dollars or 6 mini bottles for 30 dollars.

We stumbled upon this wonderful shop while walking around historic Dahlonega square. The store…read moreassociate was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. We let her know our preferences and what types of food we cook, and she made great suggestions. We sampled several oils and vinegars and decided on the following: Honey ginger white balsamic vinegar Toasted sesame oil (specialty oil) Black truffle oil (specialty oil) We also purchased a few bottle pour spouts to go with the oils. We've used the oils many times and love all of them! The oils and vinegar are great for stir fry, fish, salads, and more. We try to incorporate them in as many dishes as we can. Fortunately for us, most of their oils and vinegars are available for purchase and shipping on their site for when we run out!

The employee and few customers that were there when I was in the store all wore facemasks. The friendly employee was very knowledgeable and helpful in suggesting some olive oils and balsamic vinegars after I let her know what kinds of flavors I preferred (hot, sweet, sour, etc.), and foods that I enjoy. I sampled a couple of balsamic vinegars, but didn't really care for any of them. I guess it's because they had strong flavors and I really need to taste them with foods, but I didn't want to buy some vinegars and find out that the flavors overpowered the food. The olive oils were different, though. I sampled about seven different olive oils - fruity, spicy, herb-y, etc., and I thought most of them were flavors that I could get into. I ended up buying two bottles: one bottle of wild anithos dill infused olive oil, and one bottle of Baklouti green chile pepper fused olive oil. I add just a little of the chile pepper olive oil to the ramen that I make at home. The Baklouti green chile pepper fused olive oil adds a hot spicy kick to anything it's added to. The wild anithos dill infused olive oil goes great with roasted potatoes or baked salmon. The dill flavor also goes a long way. I tend to like strong and bold flavors, but there are also olive oils that are a little more subtle. When you've selected the balsamic vinegar or olive oil you'd like to buy, the employee will fill a bottle right there in front of you from the big containers. The bottles are preprinted with the appropriate balsamic vinegar or olive oil name, so you won't get confused as to what's in the bottle. The employee will seal the bottle, so it's perfect for gift giving. I saw other flavors that I'd like to try the next time I'm in Dahlonega. I know I will buy more in the future. Oh ... they also sell their products online, too.

fine EVOO, balsamic vinegars & epicurean market…read more Oli + Ve is my favorite place to explorer high quality global EVOO and finest white and dark balsamics. They are located on Canton in downtown Roswell. Look for the green house on the right a little past SALT on your left. I've been frequenting OV for the past 13 years. Originally, I shopped at their Vinings Jubilee location until the close and since then I've been shopping at this Roswell location. ++ Ambiance is a warm, intimately organized high end EVOO, fine balsamics and epicurean market. It's a gourmet cooks', especially Italian food lovers' dream food shop. +++ High quality variety of northern and southern hemisphere EVOOs and aged 18 years balsamics from domestic and global sources. OV's balsamics are CLEAN, made in the traditional solera style with no extras. They offer many fine infusions that are pretty much drinkable. My favorites are their Mediterranean blend and Cobrancosa EVOOs, grapefruit white balsamic and espresso dark balsamic that is absolutely incredible on vanilla ice cream. Their grapefruit white balsamic is delectable on salads. You can taste all the vinegars and EVOOs with tiny plastic cups so it's easy to figure out what you like. Beyond the oils and vinegars, they have a good size market. Much is from Italy such as fine dish towels and specialty pastas. More over, they sell silver and gold pour caps, hand blended seasonings, accessory dishes, jams etc. They also sell local artisan foods such as Mission sourdough breads and Voga gelati. On this visit, I brought a friend who recently moved to Atlanta and is needing to stock essentials for his pantry. He scored many oils, vinegars, pastas, pour caps and gifts. I discovered their white truffle infused oil and couldn't part without taking a large bottle home. It's my first white truffle infused oil I've liked enough to buy. It's made withOUT any extracts and is a smooooooth yet intense white truffle flavored EVOO. I've already got a recipe in mind for this finishing oil :). My friend also got a bottle as well. Oli + Ve is one of my favorite places for hostess gifts and for holidays. +++ Service is friendly and helpful. The owner is often present and is warm and informative. She has an amazing attention to detail and I think even Martha would have a difficulty finding faults. For example, they sell candles but each sample has a glass cover so they wouldn't overwhelm your sense of smell for customers who aren't interested in them or comingle scents for those who are interested. Since the closing of their Vinings location, they offer free deliveries to The Front Porch Market (Mountain St.) if you order online. = / + Price is high...though it's in line with high end gourmet food shops. + Parking is a designated spot / driveway in a private lot. Add'l parking can be had on street and other private lots nearby. YOLO Enjoy! The place itself is beautiful. Large, shiny, silver canisters line the walls filled with olive oils and vinegars. We were quickly greeted and offered a small tray of bread to use to sample the goods. Every flavor was incredible! From classic to citrus to chocolate, the options are mind blowing. I didn't know it was possible to create an oil and vinegar with these flavors. The event continued with the owner showcasing recipes like grilled cheese, bruschetta, and brownies cooked with blood orange olive oil, loved it! I picked up a jar of Peruvian lime olive oil and have cooked at home with it on fish and Brussels sprouts, it's great! Be sure to ask the owner about her quality of olive oil. It's amazing to learn about the grocery store items vs what you can get here. Can't wait to get a vinegar next time!
