Habersham is right on the edge of town in Helen. We did a wine tasting, you can also do a beer tasting. We enjoyed everything we tried and bought some bottles to take home. They have some outdoor seating if you want to enjoy a glass of wine, beer, or wine slushy. They have a big gift shop too, with lots of cute items.

Veteran's Day Visit...... Arrived about 2:30pm. Walked in excited to taste & purchase some wine. They were not busy at all. We ordered a flight to taste & had just paid when the 2 workers (man & older woman with long hair) became very unfriendly. We were scowled at & they started talking about how they should have bern closed. Then the lady said she would be retiring soon & would not have to deal with customers anymore. My husband & I were shocked & this was before we got our flight & this was said within 2 feet of us. Afterwards others started coming in & they were the same way. I hope management & owner reads this. We definitely felt unwanted there. They do have good wine though !!!

Just one thing: WINE SLUSHIES! and say less!! These can be found at Habersham Winery in Alpine Helen along a selection of Georgia produced wines and gourmet foods including imported cheeses and other things perfect for picnics! This winery is also one of Georgia's oldest and largest wineries and they're open daily for wine tastings. The gift shop also has so many cute wine related items it was so hard not to want everything. I got a coaster for my little collection and I think it is the cutest one I own. The staff is super friendly and they help you pick the right wine for you. You can also buy full bottles. Visit Habersham winery if you're in the area!

June 2022* S U M M A R Y Great bang for your buck with spectacular service! This is the oldest winery in the area so do yourself a favor and visit. It's half the price of most other tastings in the area. T A S T E These wines were average in taste but I appreciated getting the opportunity to taste a bubbly red wine which I hadn't before. I also appreciated the way that they split up their menu into the following three areas: dry, semi dry/bubbles, sweet. I'm a dry wine type gal so I enjoyed the dry wines. I tried 2 bubbly/semi-sweet wines and they were too sweet for me. They had a sweet blackberry wine and since Blackberry is one of my favorite flavors I was enticed to try it. The girl helping us discouraged it just because she said it would probably be too sweet. My sister went ahead and ordered that particular blackberry wine for one of her tastings and I had a sip of hers and once it was definitely enough. It was quite sweet. But tasty. S E R V I C E Honestly the service is what bumped up this review from 2 stars to 3 stars. Dana was the person helping us and she was absolutely amazing. She was so welcoming and so friendly, as soon as we walked up to her she had a big smile and was ready to help us and explain to us the process. She did a really good job of explaining each and every wine, where they are grown, where we should taste the wines on our palate and even the best way to get flavor out of the wines. They had just added a new wine to their tasting list and she gave us a taste of that one for free! So shout out to her. A M B I E N C E Seemed like a cute southern shop with a wine bar. The vibe was relaxing, and slow. You didn't feel like you were in a rush to pick any wine, drink your wine, or move out of the way. I really appreciated that after a long day. Everyone was so welcoming. They also had a seating area outside where someone was playing some music and singing songs so of course that was perfect on a sunny summer day. This place is located right next to a Road so there's not much of a view. P R I C E 12$ for 5 1 oz pours. R A T I N G 2 stars off because the wines were average tasting, there's no vineyards or view and it's more of a wine shop than a winery

The setting is nice here. Sitting here relaxing with a glass of wine. I had the habersham estate scarlet. Good taste but dry wine. Candyce had the chalet white. A bit sweeter but still pretty good. She let me try it. You get to keep the wineglass when you buy a glass. When you bring the glass back it is 2 dollars off the glass wine. Known as merchandising. The gift shop is loaded with all types of things to buy and browse.

Flavorful tasting and great service! Highly recommend their Merlot and Scarlett if you enjoy red wines. If you're able to visit, ask for Tristan. He was very knowledgeable and welcoming - Thanks Tristan!

I have been to Helen a million times and never knew this existed . Now i know where my first stop will be every time i come up here ! Definitely worth the tasting and amazing prices to buy a bottle and have a seat outside in the beautiful scenery!

I like the slushies here! They're pretty popular. Habersham is located in a little grouping of local businesses doing very well. Their wines are pretty good but what I really like about this place is the choch! I must admit I like sweet wines ok I LOVE sweet wines!! You have to stop in and try this place if you are ever in Helen. GA. Sherm had the Revival Pilsner and I had the Georgia peach. Nothing spectacular and a little overpriced, but like I mentioned, I do love the chochkies.

Hambersham has a pretty building, but the wines were just okay and the service was unfriendly. I've never been so rushed to finish a tasting within 5-10 minutes. There was minimal conversation about the wines from our server. For $10 you get a tasting of half-filled little Dixie cups of five wines of your choosing. Many of their wines were muscadine/sweet (yuck), and they did have some drier wines but none were barrel-aged. I was told by the bartender to visit a neighboring winery that would have more mature options. I ordered one glass of bubbly blanc.

Inside masks required unless youre drinking!
    Melissa Z.

Bottom line: The atmosphere (4 stars) is better than the wine (3 stars) There is not much to do other than hike in this area and this winery was a welcomed exception. I loved the covered patio thanks to all the fans swirling. With COVID, I really appreciated that masks were required and they even provided hand sanitizer. I read rave reviews about the Scarlet wine and the Peach wine. The $10 tasting was a great value except on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend they were already out of 2 of their top wines. Ugh. You cannot compare this to CA or European wines. It isnt fair. But these wines, even with much grace, aren't good. My fiance and I aren't stuffy wine drinkers. While a glass of wone is totally drinkable, there were no wines that were palatable enough to get through an entire bottle. Is it worth going for a tasting? Absolutely. For $10, you get 2 oz pours of 5 different wines is worth an hour of your time.

Mini chocolate cup to compliment Merlot
    Michelle R.

Great local wines! Wine tasting of 5 wines for only $10. Super friendly staff. Tried their signature wine Scarlet was dry and finished smooth. Merlot complimented well with chocolate cup ($5 with sampling and only $2.49 without). Bought the mini chocolate cups and Merlot to go so I could share with family as a fun dessert. If you like sweet wines, their Peach and Granny's Arbor are delicious. Wine slushees are also available. Gift shop is super cute for unique gifts.

A bunch of folks did that because they were planning to host an event or some such. I did hear great things about the lodge. As for the drinking, we did get a special pour of the Twisted, which may or may not have been in their usual tasting menu. Sitting outside by the gas fire pits and watching the changed leaves fall to the ground is fabulous. Doing so with a tasty glass of poetry and wearing toasty clothing made it even better. Very cool, very relaxed, and pretty far away from the craziness of day-to-day life. We enjoyed our time at Sylvan Valley. [Review 18924 overall - 562 in Georgia - 2447 of 2022.]

My husband had scheduled a massage as a gift for that afternoon. This was probably the worst experience I have had. The therapist was poor in her execution, style and even manner. Before my treatment even started she mentioned an up charge for deep tissue. During my treatment she burped two times and her massage was far from relaxing her massage etiquette as a therapist was poor and as it was my birthday it sort of ruined my whole experience there, which was a shame. I did reach out to the B&B and provided my feedback, was told the spa manager (Tanya) would reach out but she never did. Heard back from the B&B manager and she told me the owner would give me a $50 dollar credit to my treatment the next time! We live almost two hours away so will not be planning on using that any time soon. To be honest after that experience I would not go back to the spa. The b&b was lovely the massage experience not so.

Title: A Blissful Retreat at Lucille's Mountain Top Inn and Spa…read more Rating: (5/5) My partner and I recently enjoyed a two-day stay at Lucille's Mountain Top Inn and Spa, and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, the impeccable service and breathtaking surroundings left us utterly enchanted. Firstly, I must commend Alex, the multi-talented front desk manager and concierge. Her warm welcome and exceptional hospitality set the tone for our entire stay. Alex not only ensured a smooth check-in but also provided us with valuable information about the resort and nearby attractions. Her dedication to making our stay memorable was truly impressive. Our mornings were filled with culinary delights thanks to the talented chefs, Michael and Linda. There are always 2 courses, and they typically feature some local produce and meats. Michael's breakfast creations on day one were a delightful surprise, with flavors that danced on our taste buds, especially the sausage! Linda, the breakfast chef on day two, continued the culinary excellence with a delectable breakfast that left us craving for more. The eggs with asparagus were amazing and I am super picky about my eggs. Rebecca, the waitress, deserves a special mention for her attentive and friendly service during our meals. She made dining a pleasure, always ready with a smile and quick to accommodate any request. Carla, the kitchen helper, and Cassidy, another member of the front desk and concierge team, contributed to the overall smooth operation of the inn. Their dedication behind the scenes did not go unnoticed, and it's evident that the entire staff at Lucille's is a well-oiled machine. Desserts are also served in the evening and the guests serve themselves and typically joined in the common areas, reading, chatting or playing one of the several board games available. It was delightful way to unwind. The highlight of our stay was the couples massage at the spa, a truly rejuvenating experience. The spa staff exhibited professionalism and skill, creating a tranquil atmosphere that allowed us to unwind and connect on a deeper level. Lucille's Mountain Top Inn and Spa is a place where luxury meets nature, and where every staff member goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. The stunning mountain views, the impeccable service, and the attention to detail make this an oasis of relaxation and romance. We can't wait to return to this hidden gem in the mountains. Thank you, Lucille's, for making our stay unforgettable.
