The worse experience you can think off! Ted is not professional. We came with a group of 12 while they weren't busy at all and had a group of 20 leaving ! They said they couldn't service us because they under staff all while there are three attendants and no other patrons in sight! He was dismissive and rude. Didn't allow me to talk or try to accommodate us. I asked if he rather us leave and not patronize in chance of getting other customers. He stated that that's fine but they won't be servicing us. He said we can buy the bottles and serve our selves!!!!! read more

Cute little winery located right outside of Helen. The view while sitting outside is Panoramic of the mountains. They do offer wine flights as well as sample tastings, and full pours. You do have to go up to the bar inside to get your order. The staff is not too quick and their point of sale is pretty antiquated, but they are very friendly and know their wines. The wines are a little bit on the sweeter side, but they do offer beer as well. There is a front patio and a back patio with plenty of parking at the top of the mountain in front of the winery. read more

My friends and I went to do some wine tastings in North GA and decided to stop at Creekstone Winery. My friends are wine club members and highly suggested this winery. The winery itself is gorgeous and the interior is something out of a TV soap opera or miniseries because it looked like an exquisite mansion with the black and white checkered floors and gorgeous chandeliers. The ambiance is breathtaking as soon as you walk in the door. The wine tasting room is beautiful with a nice fireplace and wine bar that goes around the room. My friends and I each purchased a wine flight tasting of five wines to sample and enjoy. I decided to go with the Chardonnay, the Pinot Grigio, the Cabernet Sauvignon, the Chamburican Reserve, and the Pinot Noir. All the wines were good and I enjoyed them very much, but the Pinot Noir was lacking some character in my mind. I tried my friend's Syrah and it was amazing since I am not normally a Syrah person. I ended up purchasing a bottle of the Syrah because it was do different and unique from other wines I have tasted. The service from the staff is very good. They do a great job providing knowledge on the wines and explaining the wines to you. They help provide their expertise on the differences between each wine you taste. The wine club is a wonderful feature at Creekstone and worthwhile if you are a frequent visitor of the winery. It comes with good perks and benefits, and you get to choose your bottle of wine each month. Creekstone Winery is a wonderful winery in North GA and definitely worth visiting if you want to do wine tastings around North GA. It is worth the time and money for sure. read more

Really great winery owned by the family of Habersham Winery nearby. Some excellent Vidal Blanc and Chambercin varietals that truly highlight the potential of Georgia as a winemaking region. The live music on weekends is amazing. Most importantly, kind and attentive people working here. The only areas where it would be nice to see some improvement is the use of better glassware for the tasting and the location of the parking lot. In the spot where the best views are on the tasting patio, the parking lot is there too. Would be much better to preserve the ambiance and have the parking area somewhere a bit below the house or the side of the residence for unobstructed mountain views. All around, an absolutely wonderful winery to visit in the state with knowledgeable and passionate people working here. read more

We were invited to the winery to hear one of our neighbors play the organ and meet friends from the neighborhood. Perfect setting for the music and friendship time with our neighbors. Service a little lacking they gave a secure WiFi and the server at the bar says she does not have the password I would have to ask the manager. Why not post the information around the winery so people can have it. Also this same server seemed to be having issues processing credit cards. The people before me had to wait it seemed about 10 minutes to process their transaction. My wife had a Pino Grigio, I had the flight of beers as seen in my picture. The Local Gold was a Blonde Ale which was a very smooth beer. The other three beers were okay nothing to write home about. The Medlock was one of the worst beers I have every had. We arrived at 7pm Friday. Live band played. We found a table for 6. The staff was very accommodating. We sampled several different wines and ordered 3 flatbreads and 3 appetizers. Not really a winery. Sure they make wine, and serve wine, and their $14 flight is reasonable. But there are no tours, nothing to tour. The breathtaking views are only available if you sit in the heat or cold or whatever the weather is that day. Yet when they bought the old house and remodeled it as a show room, tasting venue & gift shop, they chose to keep the kitchen on the side with the view, and the gift shop, and even with the meeting rooms upstairs, two small windows and storage rooms on the side that would have the kind of views to keep people coming back. Without the outside they have very limited seating. Their ordering process is inefficient. Food is overpriced and really just heat & serve bar food. And the manager needs to check his attitude about how premium the wine is and assuming that everyone thinks muscadine wine is good, and therefore having a 'premium label' somehow makes flavor infused wine more desirable at a higher price point. Beautiful location! We visited on a rainy Thursday at 11:30 am right after it opened. We had the place to ourselves. The soothing jazz music, friendly conversation from our bartender Barbara, and delicious wine tasting was the perfect start to our day! For those who enjoy muscadine wines, we loved the straight up white and the sparkling version of the same the bubbly white. Loved the bubbly blanc unoaked - light, crisp and refreshing. Fave off-dry to dry is the Viognier. The Pinot Gris, Sav Blanc, and most others have grapes that are outsourced. Many others like the rose have a blend of local muscadine and outsourced grapes. If you're not into muscadine wine, no worries, they have options for you too! My fave red was the Merlot. Following that with the bubbly peach was excellent. We just missed the Cardinal red blend that comes out next week. So be on the lookout for new options too! Prices are so reasonable - tasting of 5 wines was $12. Bottles range from $12 to $40, depending on the grape. Discounts available for the case and half case of wine. You can also get wine by the glass. Live Music on Friday and Saturdays - sounds like the locals come out for that. read more

There is a gorgeous, short drive leading up to the tasting room. The whole entry way is so beautiful. There was jazz playing in the entry way and I just got a really casually, elegant vibe from this place. There is a very pretty sitting area out back , looking into a lush green forested area. I'm sure operating a winery and managing a tasting room is a difficult proposition. But all businesses, regardless their product quality, will bottleneck their success if they can't figure out the point of customer experience. This is where I believe this winery has gotten lost. We arrived on the Sunday before Labor Day and hoped to have a few glasses of wine. Granted, this is a busy weekend in the area. But that is immaterial to the customer experience - a business that knows how to make a potential customer feel welcomed during both busy and slow times of the day will develop this skill in order to succeed. I'm not talking about having to wait. I'm talking about being completely ignored and unacknowledged. There were multiple people at the wine bar waiting for at least some recognition that they existed as well, and clearly becoming annoyed. We sat outside enjoying the beautiful views (2 stars) waiting for the wait to go down; and watched as no fewer than 3 separate parties walked into the front and then walk back out in 5 minutes. "Welcome to our cellars! Someone will be with you in 5-10 minutes. Please have a seat and we will wait on you shortly" goes a long way. Or "Welcome! Here's a menu of our wines! We stopped here after going to Hardman Farm. It was very quiet on a Friday afternoon. We opted to do a tasting of 5 wines each. What we tried: Sweet Wines: Straight up white - a muscadine wine, but not very strong in muscadine flavor. Still good though. Straight up rose - a muscadine blend wine, good but preferred the white version more. Straight up red - another muscadine blend wine that was good, but our least favorite of the three muscadine wines. Straight up berry - this was our favorite of the sweet wines. Straight up berry - okay, similar in profile to a grape juice with an alcoholic taste. Bubbly Wines: Bubbly Blanc - good prosecco style wine. Bubbly Peach - good, not a strong peach, but my favorite of the bubbly wines. Bubbly White - a bubbly muscadine, but not very strong in muscadine flavor. Just okay. Bubbly Blush - we thought this one was good. Bubbly Red - this was okay, just a little too dry for me. This winery definitely had the most bubbly wines that I've seen at a winery, however, their bubbly wines do come from Southern Harvest Winery, which no longer has a tasting room in Statesboro - so you can taste their wines here or at Habersham Winery. The Sweet Wines are from Straight Up Wine which is part of the Habersham Winery Family. Habersham Winery's tasting sheet actually points out the wines are from Southern Harvest, while Creekstone does not - a little deception. Overall a good winery, not great, but was my favorite of the wineries in the Helen area. We left with bubbly peach and straight up berry. read more

We have been to pretty much every winery in the area and each has its unique character. Somehow we this was our first time at Creekstone. It will be out last. The first impression from the outside was great. It has a beautiful view, plenty of parking, and live music. As we went inside to order, we were looking forward to enjoying or afternoon listening to music and sipping wine in the mountain air. We looked at the list and were told that our first 3 choices were out of stock. I found a dry white for me, but my husband only drinks dry red. I flipped the menu and saw a different Merlot (Habersham) listed on the back. I asked if they had a bottle of that in stock. The attendant said, "I don't know, you can look in there" as he flippantly pointed over his shoulder to the gift shop. A female walked over and my husband asked for a sample of the slushy since he was out of options only to be told "we don't give samples of that." I would understand that normally but when your customers have been trying to find some thing in stock on the menu for 10 minutes you should at least try to accommodate. We left and went to another close by winery who values customers. read more
