Built my barn/garage with their 'lumber'. Really low quality. Ended up cutting all studs so they were equal. Drastic variations. Real pain in the a**. Busted trusses on delivery. Service levels are horrible in Parker, especially during Covid. What a clown show. Dont give a crap about you unless youre a tract builder. read more

Service is awful... must be ready to wait over extended periods of time.. Guys at office wont care if you wait over an hour for a piece of lumber.. We waited about 1- 1 1/2 for a trim piece. Had to ho over the office couple times to ask what was happening whit the order.... read more

I had these guys deliver 4 pieces of decking material, I ended up going a different route and asked them to pick it up for a return. I fully expected a pickup fee however I was charged a pickup fee PLUS a 25% restocking fee!! They said it was "special order" however that was not mentioned when purchasing and it was not "ordered" it was transferred from their other store. This is ridiculous for something they are just gonna turn around and resell anyway. This isn't an electronic item that was opened and you can tell it was not a brand new, This is a couple pieces of wood that they store outside! Terrible business read more

I've been a contractor for 30 years and I stopped going to Alpine in Parker 10 years ago because I never seemed to get waited on. The employees would just talk to their friends at the counter and look at me and never say anything. I thought I'd try today again and once again I got 'Alpined' (a more common word than you'd think). I sat in front of the counter while both employee's helped other people behind me. I go up the road to Adam's because they always go out of their way to wait one me. Alpine has missed out on thousands of dollars that I've spent at Adam's. Too bad. read more

Really crappy selection of lumber - how they pass it off as quality is a complete joke. Came to pick up a will-call order, no one will even direct me where to go, the wood was soaking wet, and when I asked for assistance in accessing a new pallet they said "probably not". Do not waste your time. Customer service is terrible. Never do I write reviews but I am happy to tell anyone to avoid this place. Home Depot is an even better option. I was told it was my responsibility to consolidate the pallets of wood that I went through - no way should that be the case but I was blocked in by a forklift until all of the wood was stacked to their specifications - consolidating two pallets of wood into one. When I returned wood from here I was charged a 15% restocking fee - but guess who they made restock it. Lousy, terrible service, rude employees, shitty selection - you get the picture. read more

I needed a few Trex deck boards and Alpine Lumber came to my rescue. I will definitely be ordering from them for my future remodeling needs. They were able to get the product in whereas the other big box stores I contacted said the items were backordered for several weeks (or didn't know when/if the items would return to stock). My representative was Kelsea, and she was amazing. Even though my order was small, she always responded to my text within a few minutes (she's a texting guru:). Picking up the product was quick and easy. The transaction was seamless. When I picked up the product, I had a chance to meet Kelsea, and she's as delightful in person as she is over the phone and over text. Kudos to Alpine Lumber and Kelsea. read more

I wrote a glowing review of Alpine Lumber and Dave Barrett Construction just after our composite deck was installed. Now its been a few years and its falling apart. The boards are bowing and popping up making it a safety hazard. The structural braces underneath are not holding. I believe Alpine Lumber is as accountable as Dave Barrett Construction because it was Alpine that recommended Mr. Barrett because his wife works at Alpine. I've written to both Alpine and Mr. Barrett, with no reply at all. Disappointed to say the least. We spent a good amount of money with them and now need to seek costly repairs only 5 years later. Fast, efficient and very helpful. It's nice to have a place where you can ask questions and get correct, informed responses. I also like not having to track down someone, just to find out they don't work in that department. Finally their prices are competitive and they seem to stock higher quality stuff than the big box stores. read more

Their front desk customer service reps are quick to help and provide OK service as long as the transaction follows the script perfectly, but if you encounter an issue they will not take the extra step to resolve it. At that point you will need to engage a manager. I'm not talking about complex problems here. These are issues that the front desk customer service reps should be able to handle since they are the primary point of contact for the customer. Additionally, it appeared to me that the particular front desk customer service rep I dealt with on a number of occasions is lazy. After I spoke with one of the managers he resolved my problem very quickly and appeared surprised that my issue even needed to be elevated to his level. So, if you encounter an issue....bypass the front desk customer service reps immediately and talk to management. You will save time and have less hassle. read more
