We were so excited to spend 5 days in Breckenridge and this beautiful cabin for our ski trip. Little did we know that we would be staying in a great home, yes, but it was disgusting, and we were basically left with no help for any issues the entire time we were there. The heat for some reason in the back of the house wouldn't go lower than 90 degrees, so we were baking in a sauna the entire night while trying to sleep. We found multiple bugs throughout the house each day as well. We were promised all cleaning supplies and dishes would be made available, yet we were left with zero trash bags and maybe one pizza pan for an entire week. Not a huge deal, but when the grocery store is over 15 minutes away , it is very inconvenient, especially when your driveway was never plowed and you can't get your car out for 5 days. When we tried calling the property management on the first night to let them know about the trash bags, etc, we were always sent directly to a voicemail and never heard back from anyone. We came in from skiing on the 2nd day to find two trash bags under the sink. Not only had they not called us back to apologize and say they would bring some over, but they showed up at the house while no one was there and stuck two - TWO - trash bags under the sink. Two small trash bags for 6 people to use for another 4 days. In addition to this, we were never made aware that the driveway was a steep, downhill drive that apparently never gets plowed. In the 5 days we were there, the plow came once, and that was only after us calling the property management multiple times and finally getting in touch with someone to let them know, and he came in the afternoon which was pointless with the snow falling all afternoon and night. With the free bus shuttle, it wasn't bad for the first few days, but we tried to make the management aware that we really needed it plowed and salted if possible by Sunday morning so that we could get out for our flights. Not only did this not get taken care of, but it took us calling management, again, 3-4 times before someone called us back. Our husbands worked for over 2 hours that morning trying to shovel and break up the ice with no luck. Finally, after we were already running 40 mins late for our flights, the plow showed up. By that time, so much ice had built up over the days he did not come that he didn't even make a difference. We then had to pay him an additional $40 to pull us up the drive with his chains. When we made management aware of this catastrophe, they basically just told us "sorry, nothing we can do" instead of trying to make things right by at least reimbursing us for the $40 it took to get us out. A couple of us are in real estate or have worked at vacation property management companies and we have never in our lives experienced such horrible customer service. I understand that if you are the property manager and are out of town there is nothing you can do, but whoever is covering for you should very well be capable enough to handle the little requests or issues that arise. We will never return to any of this company's properties, and you can guarantee that we will let everyone know how awful this experience was. read more
