Doctor, if you are reading this, next time be more cautious on your decision I guess and if you really mess things up please try your best to do the right thing. Maybe not charge the patient 104 dollars for nothing but pain. I visited Dr. Jon D. Libbesmier for endodontic therapy, asking beforehand if he believed the procedure was likely to be successful. He assured me it would be, so I went ahead with it. However, after enduring an hour and a half of intense pressure and discomfort--my jaw was sore from being open too long, and I could barely move my mouth--he informed me that the procedure had failed. This was after his initial confidence that it would work. Despite this failure, he said he would only charge me for the consultation, which my insurance covers at 80%. I thought, "At least it's not costing me too much financially, maybe just $16," and went to the front desk, still in significant pain and unable to speak or think clearly due to the numbing shots. The bill was $58, which confused me, but I was too weak and in too much pain to argue, so I paid it, planning to review the charges later. After a challenging recovery that involved significant pain, medication, and sick days, I discovered that an additional charge for a pulp test was added to my bill. This extra test made the entire consultation not covered by my insurance. As a result, I ended up paying $104 out of pocket, with no treatment done and my tooth in worse condition than before. I consider myself reasonable and am willing to pay for services I receive. All I ask is that the extra charge for the pulp test be removed, and that I only be billed for the consultation fee. However, when I tried to discuss this with the front desk, I was threatened with being sent to collections if I didn't pay. Avoid this dentist's office at all costs. They lack the necessary skills and professionalism, and their services are a complete waste of time and money. The total cost of the endodontic therapy was supposed to be $459 with my insurance, but because they failed the procedure and charged for something I didn't agree, I'm left paying $104 for nothing. It's ridiculous.

I received no call, and called four or five times over the weeks before my appointment asking for an estimate. I was ultimately contacted the day before (at a reasonable time) by Flatirons Endodontics with an estimate. I told them that I still had not received an estimate from my anastheologist, who they said they had contacted each time I called. I finally recieved a call at 7:40pm from my anastheologist with an estimate. Due to receiving these estimates less than 24 hours before my appointment, I was unable to go to my appointment for financial reasons. Overall, I think the staff here are professional and I'm sure they do a great job, but I am not at all happy with the comunication (or lack thereof) I recieved over the month I was working with Flatirons Endodontics. I'll be scheduling my root canal elsewhere.

I have never had this great of a dental experience. In addition to the exceptional staff, this office was clean and very comfortable. Dr. Minavi did what all doctors should be doing - taking the time (not a lot) to explain to their patients exactly what you're doing and why! He didn't have to do that but, he did. This was an education I genuinely appreciated. Without hesitation, I highly recommend Flatirons Endodontics!

I had a extract ion done and was told to take otc mediciation for pain relief. i spent this past weekend in excruciating pain and called the office on Monday Am to see if i could have something else to help relieve the pain only to be told that Dr J would be out until Thursday and i would have to wait until then. I would avoid seeing Dr. Schubert, though. Dr. Schubert is incredibly condescending, rude, and unfair. If you have dental issues, she explains them to you like you are a moron, or a five-year-old child. Also, if you struggle to get time away from work on a week day, drive 1/2 an hour one way to see a good dentist, miss your exit, and still arrive within the 15-minute grace period of your appointment time (even if it is a 3 hour, important appointment, and the last appointment of the work day.) Dr. Schubert will send you away. She would rather cost one client hours of their work day, and hundreds of dollars, than leave work even one minute past the hour. She seems power driven. I like the other doctors who seem to genuinely care about their patients and their practice. I highly recommend this office as long as you avoid Dr. Schubert.

I was especially happy with how attentive they were with regards to my physical comfort. I'm a complete wimp when it comes to mouth pain, and they did everything possible not to hurt me. I'm a real hard-case - resistant to nitrous (though it helps), resistant to lidocaine, and a total crybaby on top of that. The nice lady who worked on me was extremely gentle and careful, and really listened. Everyone's very warm, friendly and professional, and they even worked with me on payment, because I don't have insurance (they also recommended some dental plans that might work for me). Another thing I noticed is that there were several regular patients who also seemed happy to be there. I thought it a good sign that some people have been going there for years, and have an ongoing and friendly relationship with the people who work there. I also like that they have evening appointments. I really can't recommend Dr. Gibbs and company enough. This was the best experience I've ever had at the dentist.

They are prohibited by law from using a…read moredrill in anyone's mouth to shape a tooth, to do anything invasive, or that is outside the legal limits of their licensure that could harm the integrity of a tooth. Barron passes the duty to her favorite and believes that just because she's worked with her for years, that this is acceptable. That hygienist jacked my tooth leading to damage to another and Barron tried to excuse and normalize this. When I spoke out, she tried to bully me and gaslight me. Barron is a decent dentist. Her office staff are sweet. But, her hygienists act like border patrol. Her judgement and practice are not representative of CO law. This office is all about the upsale. If she says you need a root canal, get another opinion. Find someone else if you wish to avoid further financial and physical harm.

In response to Barron Family Dental's reply:…read more Before my appointment, I took deliberate steps to confirm that Barron Family Dental was in-network for my specific plan -- Cigna DPPO Advantage. I provided my physical insurance card to your front desk, explicitly asked for verification based on that plan, and was told more than once that your office and the treating provider were in-network. After receiving a significantly higher-than-expected bill, I contacted Cigna directly. During that call -- which occurred shortly after the appointment -- a Cigna representative and I searched their system for Dr. Abigail Nye. At the time, she was not listed under any Cigna network. Not just for my plan -- she simply did not appear in their provider system at all. Now, after the fact, Dr. Nye appears in Cigna's directory -- but only under the Total and Total Plus plan networks. She is still not listed under Cigna DPPO Advantage, which is the plan I have. Yet your office's own PDF -- linked on your website -- explicitly lists "Cigna DPPO Advantage Dentist" under accepted in-network plans. That was part of what influenced my decision to book with your office. The issue here is not just confusion over plan names. It's about negligent misrepresentation. I presented my insurance card, asked your staff to verify network status for my specific plan, and was assured that I was covered. Cigna's billing and coverage records -- both then and now -- do not support that assurance. I was billed at out-of-network rates because the provider was not, and is still not, in-network for my plan. Even if your network affiliations have since changed, that does not retroactively justify what happened at the time of my appointment. Patients have a legal and ethical right to rely on what they're told by a provider's staff when verifying coverage. If I had been informed honestly that the provider wasn't in-network, I would have made a different decision. This situation has caused avoidable financial harm, and I've submitted documentation to the appropriate regulatory authorities. The inconsistency between what your staff communicated, what your website claimed, and what Cigna confirmed is not acceptable. Your website says advantage dentists and I have a ppo advantage plan. Your desk people literally took my card twice and assured me I was covered, intentional or not if it wasn't untrue, that doesn't excuse it from being a point of negligent misrepresentation. This truly is a clear cut small claims case. As well as I have transcripts of the call logs with Cigna dental. Whether or not the dental board wants to waste their time with it is one thing but that doesn't mean that what I'm saying is incorrect. In fact I have a feeling a small claims court would see otherwise.
