I see a lot of negative reviews, so I wanted to share that after having a horrible experience at Rodeo Dental, I decided to try this dentist. I had a great experience. Yea it's expensive, but so are they all. He gave me the option of crowns on the top or just doing fillings, knowing that I'll need crowns in the future. I opted just for fillings and the dentist and staff never tried to push for more. I did need two other crows and had to go back for one bite adjustment. I head into work done year and a half to two years ago. Everything about it was a complete disaster. I came back and it's under new new dentist new staff. They have been working very diligently and closely with me to make my teeth look good again. Front desk staff are great, very helpful, cheerful and professional. The assistance in hygienist are also awesome! The dentist has been very conscious of everything that we've been doing to make my mouth be able to have a nice smile again. They have gone out of their way in order to that was made by the previous dentist! I would now highly recommend! read more

Northglenn Smiles is not professional, doesn't do the work they are paid to do, will not take responsibility for bad service and will fight with your insurance company to keep the money they have received as if they have 'completed' the work. Lets go back to Nov 2023. And then in May of 2024... After 6months I still did not have a denture. I've never waited 6 months or even 6 weeks. They rebuilt the plate 3 times because (1-) It was crooked and off center (If you can imagine having a big tooth in the middle of your smile) (2-) Didn't fit.. Was the wrong color. Not even as white as the plate I had which was 10 yrs old. (3-)Protruded on one side out towards the inside of cheek and didn't match my bottom teeth at all. As if they were just "making me some teeth and I would get used to it" It was a horrible experience. They charged my insurance for implants on the bottom but we 'never started that procedure''. I requested a full refund of my insurance payments so that I would still have my benefits to use at another Dental office. They refused to refund any benefits regarding my bottom teeth, which again, we never even started anything with that procedure. At this point, I lost my coverage for implants which I saved for over 3 years. My benefit only allowed the procedure once in 5 years. I have the same teeth that I had built 10 years ago. Still in pain and can't chew my food because my bottom teeth are so bad. Then yesterday...11-2024, I received a bill from a year ago.. 11-22-2023 for $240. You have GOT TO BE KIDDING ME... I guess I will have to file a complaint with the Board of Dentistry to stop them. If you are looking for a good dentist, this is NOT the place to go. Look at the Reviews. I thought I had researched them but somehow I missed all the negative reviews. p.s. Dr T thinks he's mr perfect and knows your mouth better than you do. Terrible business total scammer!! Do not go to this dentist! He will try and talk you into procedures and then the insurance doesn't cover them and then you get a huge bill. They don't know how to work with insurance and they lie to you about what it covers because they're just incompetent. Also, the dentist did a terrible job on my husband's crown. I have had two separate appointments cancelled by NSD; once because my dentists was reported ill and yet they had no back up plan to get me in same day with another dentist, and next appointment was so far out I could not make the appointment. Second time, I had an appointment that was made in summer 2022 for December 2022--7 months ahead for a cleaning. They called me on a Friday to say they would be closed Monday, again no back up except far ahead appointments. How could they not know this months in advance??? Check other complaints and you will see this is a fairly common practice at this office. read more

I highly recommend finding a different dentist than this one. I was called multiple times and asked to change my appointment time or date. After my first exam and before my cleaning started, I was told I needed $9000 worth of out of pocket procedures done, and that I could not have the basic cleaning covered by insurance today but a specialized out of pocket cleaning for $250 plus a laser treatment for $700. Then before I even had my cleaning done, and I was completely set up and ready, I was told the hygienist was busy and I needed to reschedule again. Unbelievable. read more

I've been a patient here for many years. I got the majority of my dental work done here, and was planning to do more. The short of it: Patient from 2017 - 2020. Revolving door of dentists. Poorly planned and scheduled appointments with longer than necessary waits. Condescending attitude from the owner dentist, whose name I don't remember. Not a straight up business model... questionable and sketchy medical coding. The longer version: If you're fresh out of dentistry school, this is where you go to get your first job and practice how to be a good dentist. I've been told this many times, as I noticed my dentist changed annually. Once a dentist gets his craft down, they move on... so you're always stuck with an amateur. It sounds like there have been a couple of conflicts between the owner and the pros they hire, as I've been told neither of my favorite two dentists left on good terms. I didn't love that so I asked for one that stuck around, which I was pointed toward the owner who also practices. Much to my dismay, this guy was a bit of a tool. I mentioned that I knew I hadn't practiced the best dental care in the past and was here to fix it up. Still, he felt the need to speak down to me and tell me that I need to keep up on it... as if I hadn't just said that... as if I haven't heard that already my entire life. It sounds small but more the tone of, "I'm perfect and you're a child that needs to be told what to do." My most recent visit was in February of 2020. Prior to that, I had been there from about 2017 and got some work done that year and in 2018 a lot more. At the end of 2018, I was quoted roughly $4,000 for all my dental work. My insurance covered most things. Fast-forward to 2020. I skipped 2019 altogether... gotta build up courage to go somewhere I have to sit with my jaw gaping open for several hours at a time and go through pain when my mouth doesn't hurt. I had a couple of new fillings and a new root canal needed and they recommended a cleaning. Not too many changes... except to the coding and my bill. What was 4k for my entire mouth was now quoted well over 12k, and suddenly my insurance didn't cover anything. I contacted my insurance who hasn't changed their agreement with this practice or their coverage in that timeframe... so I got a comparison of the differences in quotes and discovered that the work was coded differently. With a single word added to each section, the insurance no longer covered the majority of the work. Next to none of it. They insisted this was still going to save me some money, simply because the insurance had an agreement that dropped the price regardless of coverage. They go as far as providing financing for most... surely a profit center when you're getting nailed on the coverage. But if you're with me up to this point - that's not the worst of it. The worst part is the treacherous wait period to be seen. The last visit I actually got work done back in 2018... I showed up and waited for the dentist to arrive 45 minutes later. Then they didn't come back and actually see me for another half hour. I got my root canal with the specialist and then waited another hour for the other dentist to show up. I don't know if they were late or if it's just poorly scheduled. I ended up in that office for over 7 hours!! I needed the work done... but this is why I didn't go back for all of 2019. Just fear of having to wait for them to make me sit in a chair full of anxiety while they're with another patient. How about this... don't overbook! Schedule better! I should be the only priority when it's my turn. Each patient deserves the full attention of the dentist. I waited so long, I walked around the building to discover he was with another patient so it's a fact not a theory. I don't recommend this practice to anyone. Dr. Kettler was awesome while he was there and the gentleman I saw before him whose name I don't remember was also great. If either of them were still there or if Chelsey stayed at the front desk I would have given them 3 stars. But since none of those people are there to improve the visit, I have nothing but negativity remaining in my mind for them. Save yourself the anxiety and go somewhere else. read more

Do not go here. They just want to scam your money. They will send you to collections without any communication to you. They will give you an estimate for your dental work, and then you pay at the end of your visit. Then a year later you see you owe money because you have a negative item on your credit report. When you contact them they can't explain the charges and just say their notices were mailed back to them. When you ask what services resulted in the balance they blame the insurance company. When you finally get communication they send you an invoice when a payment code that is invalid. Then they send you an invoice without a description. They will overcharge you and code services in appropriately. I do not recommend it. Find another dentist office who can have clear billing. read more

Snappy, rushed and careless is how I would describe the staff at this location. Apart from the occasional helpful assistant, the majority of the staff here, especially the main doctor, are incredibly rude and unprofessional. I will never go here again after the experience I had with them. If I could rate 0 stars I would! Explained to dentist that I was in a lot of pain and requested both laughing gas and numbing shots before a permanent crown was attached the main dentist's response was "oh don't worry you'll be fine" absolutely ridiculous that as a patient who is anxiety ridden and in pain can't even get the simple request of numbing for a relatively painful service. Dental assistant seemed to be in a big rush and I was not sure if she knew what she was doing with x-rays etc. Dentist (Dr. Heather Bogy) was rude and short with the dental assistant in front of me. Then told me I should get "laser surgery" for gingivitis, did not provide any further explanation. I looked this up and it is not recommended by ADA and not covered by insurance so just seems to be a money-making thing. Needless to say I did not let this person do "surgery" on me. Well, once again, I spoke too soon. I had problems 2 years ago with Northglenn Smiles and they made it right. Was it because they didn't like my bad post or was it because they genuinely care? Now I will never know....... Called in early January to let them know I was ready to move on and get the rest of my work done. The lady I talked to had me give her all of my info about my new dental plan and told me she would email me the costs the next day. Waited a week and called back. I was advised she was the only one that could help me and that she was really busy but would get me the costs within 24 hours. Now it is the 1st of March and I have called in 4 other times. I was either on hold for over 30 minutes and then somehow the call would mysteriously drop or told the "benefits specialist" was busy and would call me back. Needless to say, no call back and no email. So I can only say they are too busy to help me or their customer service really stinks! Time to find a different dentist. read more

Nicoletta the dental hygienist was great once again going over key points of what she was doing and why and also how to help get my gum and teeth health up and running. I cannot stand a hustle, especially in what is represented to be a professional office expected to provide dental care. This beats any I have ever experienced. From the first moment you walk in, they have their front desk high pressure sales pitcher working you. You cannot be seen, no work can be done, all wheels grind to a halt, until she can work you for at least some cosmetic procedures. All they need to do is fill their parking lot with used cars and they are ready for business. I called for an appointment and requested a check up and cleaning. I walked in and the next thing I knew, I was being pitched a mouthful of dental implants (Yes! They wanted to perform nothing but cosmetic dentistry - Spare Me!) The front desk pitchwoman comes to the CHAIR before any provider. By the way, NEVER DID get the cleaning, and never went back. The takeaway was that the last thing ANY of these people want to do is to care for your natural teeth. They idea appears to be to let your teeth and gums go, requiring expensive cosmetic procedures to repair/replace. Don't worry about paying: you will NOT walk out the door until Pitchwoman is certain of the exact dollar amount of your dental coverage. If that wont cover 100%, you will sign to allow them to take money from your checking account. Or they will set you up with a "credit card" for dental care. They also have no compunction about improperly coding your bill to an insurance carrier, and then expect you to pay the difference when those extraneous charges are denied. A neighbor showed me a crown one of their "dentists" they placed onto an implant. It had the appearance of a horse tooth! It was freakishly one tooth, but the size of two normal teeth, in one space. They also attached the crown too tightly, causing pain and gum irritation. Instead of going back to this place, a call was made to the dental carrier for suggestions as to other offices in the area. A coworker actually received a call personally from a formerly employed staff member, warning of incompetency! This place is a real "fast food" type of dental chain. Check with your dental insurance carrier for other choices, and treat yourself much better: save yourself aggravation, poor dental health from supervised neglect, and unnecessary expense. I've been to a number of places in the metro area and I think this place is pretty efficient, clean and they don't high pressure sell you with the fluoride treatments, so that's a bonus. I have relatively clean teeth and I floss and brush regularly, so I don't have many issues. I come for my biannual check/ cleaning and this is my third appointment here (been coming here for 1.5 years) and everything was efficient and fast. They process the dental claims well and I've never had any issues. Dentists rotate but the files are well kept. They've been keeping an eye on a few pocket areas and they have improved while I've been visiting, so that's a bonus. I definitely recommend this place over others I have visited (the usual dental chains, I have seen them all) I appreciate the text message reminders also! Mostly I give 3 stars because of the front desk lady. I would've given 1 otherwise as I went In After moving to the area, having taken good care of my teeth, and the dentist exaggerated my problem. It would have caused more work on my teeth than I thought was necessary based on the effort I put into caring for my teeth. I was suspicious and so went back to my old dentist for a second opinion and they were much more reasonable in their assessment. I didn't mention the other assessment. I ended up getting the work done with them. If I would've gone with the exaggerated assessment of this dentist, it would've cost me $450 more and significantly more pain and time to complete. Absolutely the best dental practice I've ever been to. I've been to a ton just trying to find one I could stick with because I have a horrible phobia of the dentist. Seriously, I cry and have anxiety attacks it's so bad. They are understanding of my fears and really do their best to help me relax. The staff here is so amazing and friendly. They take the time to explain EVERYTHING from my care all the way to the financial end of it. AND if they need to (which sometimes they have to with me) lol; they will explain it all again.The services are a little pricy, but I don't care. It's so worth it!! Pain in my lower-right jaw had been a constant and unwelcome companion for several years. I had to do almost all of my chewing with the left side of my mouth, and drinking anything cold usually sent an ice pick of pain through my jaw. I finally had enough of this, and decided to seek dental help. I went in expecting a consultation and a future appointment to begin resolving my issues. What actually happened is completely different. In a surprisingly short amount of time, they had diagnosed the issue, taken pictures and x-rays of my mouth, removed an old ill-fitting crown, created two temporary crowns, and drained a couple of accesses that had developed recently. I have an appointment with an endodontist for two root canals, and then I will go back to Northglenn Smiles for permanent crowns. That was yesterday. This morning, for the first time that I can remember, I woke up without any pain in my jaw. I can chew normally, and drinking cold liquids doesn't phase me. Amazing. Would I recommend Northglenn Smiles to friends and family? In a heartbeat. The care I received from Dr. Hochwald and Brian, the dental assistant, was top-notch, and the entire staff was warm and professional. read more

A few months ago I had a molar break unexpectedly, and in the midst of my freak out, I managed to find Northglenn Smiles online. Since I wasn't in pain they asked if I could come in the next day. I was hoping to get in immediately since I felt hideous with my broken tooth, but I went in the next day. The dentist and assistant were incredibly warm and kind. I told them that I get severe anxiety being in the dentist chair, and they went out of their way to make me feel at ease, and explained every step of the process very clearly. I can't say enough nice things about this place. I avoid the dentist at all cost--until something breaks--and I'm even considering going back for a cleaning. read more

*** Update: The Office Manager reached out to me, sent me all the documents to my email and gave me her contact information. She was extremely helpful and fast at helping me resolve my issue. It seems there was a misunderstanding about the statement I was asking for and it takes time for insurance companies to square away payments with dental offices. She removed me from their Collection List immediately. Thank God this mis-step won't affect my credit report. My issue has been completely resolved. I paid for my dental services through a payment plan for my wisdom teeth extraction. Almost a year after I had the procedure and finished the payment plan, I received a call that I owed $213 due to my insurance company not covering the anesthesia is what the office told me. I told them please send me a paper bill and I would like to contact my insurance company before I pay it. I have been waiting for the paper bill and have not received any notice from the office. Again, I called and they updated my address, told me the amount has been adjusted to $196 and said the Office Manager would reach out to me. I never received a call from her. Again, I just called the office to see what is the update with receiving the bill and they informed me that they placed the balance in Collection. I have not received any notice from a Collection Agency yet. I never received a due date or even statement notice to see what the amount was for specifically. I am working on my credit and think it is truly unfair that I didn't receive any notice besides a phone call regarding the balance. I have reported this issue to the Better Business Bureau and am still waiting to hear from the Office Manager. read more

I am a big o'l baby when it comes to the dentist! I had a bad experience years ago and I have avoided the dentist chair like it had COVID. I had a cavity that I ignored and part of my molar broke off- BROKE OFF!! The next day my tooth started throbbing so I knew I had to put on my big girl pants and make the call. I was able to get an appointment the next day and I was able to fill out the initial paperwork online which was convenient. Dr. Carpenter could not have been better! We told me exactly what he was doing and checked in to make sure I was ok often. When he was giving me the shot to numb it we wiggled the side of my mouth so my brain had something else to focus on and it did help. I had a temporary crown put on for 2 weeks and they are able to make a permanent one in the office. This happened in December and I am a single mom with four teenagers at home so I was ONLY able to get it fixed because I was able to finance 60% with no interest. I had exceptional care from Dr. Carpenter and everyone else in the office! I just found my new dentist. read more

Do not use this office. They do not tell you if you are I their network and charge you an arm and a leg for services. They misled me and I'm definitely paying for it now after three years of services. They ruined my credit by suckering me into getting a credit card through smile generation and they said they would "help" to ensure I understood the terms of the no interest. Three promotions no paid in time and over $200 in interest fees. I will not only use this office ever again I will make sure none of my friends and family use their services. read more

I LOVE this office!! Every time I have gone in, I have been greeted cheerfully by the front desk staff and everyone else I saw. I needed quite a bit of work. I was presented with options and was not pressured at all when I chose to stretch my treatment out over a year. Dr. "T", Dr. Hochwald, a specialist and two hygenists have worked on my mouth. I felt comfortable with each of them. The modern equipment and methods are wonderful! I love walking out of the office with cerac crowns that have been made right there. These crowns are more expensive, but look like regular teeth. read more

I went in for the $39 new patient exam and cleaning. This office utilizes technology to streamline your visit like I've never seen before. This was a nice convenience as was the beautiful office. The dentist that owns this office is only there on wednesday. I was seen by his friendly associate dentist who, to my relief, was very skilled and capable in her own right. My only complaint would be the high pressure sales that the employees dutifully perform just as they are trained. I went in for a cap and cleaning so it was with dismay that I was told I needed the more expensive "deeper" cleaning, on a different day no less, that gets lower in the gum line. On top of this 3 different people tried to sell me a $600 mouth guard. Maybe this was because I was an un-insured $39 customer? Regardless I would still recommend this office - everyone was very professional, friendly and for $39 you cannot beat the quality of service you get. read more

Not a kid friendly place although they advertise it. Brought my 10 year for a cleaning and X-rays. No kids X-ray vests or mouth pieces. No kids size goggles either. I wouldn't give one star to this place. The dentist told me I had a cavity that needed to be fixed right away. I didn't believe her because I regularly see a long time family dentist in Evergreen CO. So I went to my regular dentist a year later for a cleaning and x-rays. Sure enough I had no cavities. These people just want your money and they are willing to drill your healthy teeth to dust to get it. read more
