I love my electric awnings and shades from Alpha Productions so much that I had to post a recommendation for them. The company designs, custom-makes, and installs awnings and all types of exterior vertical electric window coverings. Alpha Productions shades are beautiful. I am sure they add to the value of my home, but mostly they dramatically increase my enjoyment of all the rooms where they are installed.  I love being able to control the light all over the house.  The window shades provide light-admitting day time privacy, sun and heat protection in the afternoon, and full blackout for the master bedroom.  The big exterior awning provides shade that lets me use the patio even in Summer.  And all have remote controls that are convenient and easy to use.  The owner, Vatche Azarian, does the designs himself. He is talented, insanely knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. His workmen are expert installers with years of experience, and it shows in their installations.   No one else does what this company does. I recommend them unreservedly. read more

Vatche and his team installed my motorized 30 foot awning 20 years ago and it's still working great for us after two decades! Over the past couple of years through last week, I finally had to replace all four arms - but the cost for that has been reasonable and we should be good for many more years or even decades to come. We've of course also been through at least a few fabric changes, but they've also lasted quite well. The motor and wind & sun sensors have also continued to work great ... although the sun sensor has finally started glitching recently but it's easy to hit a button twice a day to do it ourselves. The level of quality, value, honesty, integrity, and support with Alpha Productions is second to none. Return on investment and quality of life with an awning is also irreplaceable with the only regret being not doing it or delaying it. read more

One of the best companies I have ever dealt with - from sales to customer services to installers, everyone was wonderful. And more importantly, the product has exceeded my expectations. I ordered a retractable awning for our detached garage so that we would have shade over our outside dining area. It looks so nice!!! What value we have added to our house and our outdoor living. Now our family and friends won't all congregate in the garage because they don't want to sit in the sun. It is absolutely beautiful, and I highly recommend using Alpha for your awning needs, even though it may be on the pricier side. It's worth it! read more

I usually don't write reviews, but when I do, that just means that the company/product impressed me above and beyond. We had several quotes from a few awning companies in the valley. We received a booklet in the mail and saw alpha production's AD and liked that they were the manufacturers - 100% made in the USA (Los Angeles). We already have a Sunsetter Costco awning for about 6 years but had to install it ourselves and the vinyl fabric has always smelled and the quality seems alright but not great. We were pleasantly surprised with hundreds of color options, metal hardware color options and overall the salesman that came out really knew what he was talking about. Their price was in the middle of the quotes we received. Great experience and would definitely recommend their products and services. read more

I recently hired Alpha to install a series of solar shades in my new home, including a number of outdoor shades (both manual and electric) as well as three large windows inside. A number of the windows were uniquely shaped and some were not perpendicular to the floor -- in other words, a fairly complex job that required custom attention to do right. The owner Vatche came out a number of times and put care and consideration into figuring out how to best address the job. Vatche has good taste and even recommended an AC guy who I hired to redo my HVAC system. Unfortunately, Vatche wasn't present for a good part of the initial installation. This was disappointing, since his install team hadn't been present during our planning meetings and ended up installing the shades in ways I wasn't in favor of... I was pretty disappointed when I came home to see how the installation had gone and to hear that Vatche had approved the changes over the phone. That said, Vatche was receptive to my disappointment and worked to correct the mistakes. I really appreciate his willingness to have his installation guys spend another whole day to reinstall the products in the way I had been hoping. I wasn't thrilled to have to pay for them to redo one of the products that had been a part of the original package, but I understand that there were additional costs that were being absorbed by the company. All in all, I am now happy with the product and installation, and I think Vatche is a genuinely good guy who really does value making sure the customer is satisfied. read more

Hi just want to share with people my experience with Alpha, in 2015 i spent $10,000 on a large retractable electric installed awning. The only compaint i have and its a big one,i wasn't told anything about removing old silicon and refreshing with new every 5 to 7 years and the last rain caused the roof to leak where the silicon dried and ruin the paint in my eves. Now im told they can do the repair of 350 to 700 dollars just silicon replacement. The salesman and installers should have made it clear how much maintenance is needed. read more

Alpha Productions helped me install an retractable motorized awning for our open roof, at Bergamot Station (in three weeks!) Vatche, the owner, is trained as an engineer - their work / communication was meticulous, clear, friendly. He provided great suggestions on color, price and overall provided outstanding service! I made the mistake of not telling the building owner that I was having the awning installed (the day it was installed) and he cordially handled the irate building owner assistant who was yelling and screaming at him! : 0 I was in meetings at the time, and he handled it with grace and class. I didn't have to reschedule the installation because he was able to smooth over my mistake! Thank you Vatche and Alpha Productions! I can't wait to have you guys install our other awnings for my patio. I would highly recommend them! NPS score 10++++ read more

Vatche was incredibly sincere and nice to deal with from the moment he came to measure and show us samples. The awning came and was installed on the exact date that it was supposed to. Joey, and his crew, were incredibly incredibly nice and professional and completed the job in a timely fashion. The awning looks great and I highly recommend this company. read more

We needed custom awnings over the west-facing windows of our main living space to provide some sunshade relief during the hot summer months. We chose Alpha Productions since they came highly recommended and it is a family-run business. Both Vatche and Silva, a brother-sister team, were a pleasure to work with. Alpha provided top notch customer service, great communication, and they understood our needs. Silva wasted no time and promptly visited the site to provide an estimate, take measurements, and give me samples of fabric patterns and colors. She helped choose the right awnings for the 32 foot space - 3 motorized retractable awnings, one of which spans 18 feet in length. The installation crew was skilled, provided quality work, and completed the project in one day. I should add that installation was no easy feat, as the windows are 2nd story and about 18 feet from the ground. It's been six years since Alpha installed our awnings - they look beautiful, are working great, and have been problem-free! Not only do they provide needed shade from the sun, but they've helped reduce our A/C costs. You'd be more than satisfied choosing Alpha Productions for your awning/sunshade needs! read more

We had a great experience with Alpha Productions and our retractable awning purchase. Mr. Azirian was fantastic and made a home call within a day of our call. His advice was fantastic and we ordered a custom length awning compared to the fixed length awnings from other companies. We are very happy with this great addition to our house and it really has allowed us to enjoy our deck more, especially on sunny days! The motorized awning is must and very easy to use... Definitely recommend Alpha Productions to anybody looking to purchase an awning for their house. They are headquartered in Los Angeles and all their products are Made in the USA - definitely influenced my decision to go with them... read more

My awning got taken out by a falling branch. Enter Alpha Productions. From the minute cliff came by to check out the damage to the moment they put the new cover in place the service was impeccable. My new awning cover looks great and they made me outdoor placemats out of the awning material as a gift! That is service! read more

Family owned company with very nice representatives. The motor on my retractable awning died. I made many calls to awning companies, but they all seemed to say - if you didn't buy it from us, we don't want to service it. Alpha Productions was willing to work on the awning no matter where it was purchased. (I had no clue who made it, as it came with the house.) Alpha Productions came out promptly, inspected, and provided a quote for the replacement motor. I was told either a smaller but adequate motor would be used, if possible, if not, a larger motor would be installed instead for a little bit of a higher price. I gave them my credit card information, and the following day they were there to replace the motor. They tried to save me money by putting in a smaller motor, but as we found out the awning was not made by them, and the motor was not the correct fit. Instead the larger motor was installed. They even gave me a discount off the quoted price. Bottom line: Everything works! 5 star service read more

I had a great experience with Alpha. Cliff, my salesman, was fabulous. I did a large awning job with Cliff & Alpha. I was demanding and Cliff was patient -- he never got ruffled by me or my demands. The Alpha awning work was high quality. Alpha is a trustworthy and good company. I originally bid them out against another awning company and Alpha was $5,000.00 less than the other company. I did due diligence by checking Yelp and google reviews and Alpha's background checked out. read more

We needed an awning for our business for a meeting/eating space. Alpha came out very quickly and gave a reasonable quote and timeframe to get it made and installed. What we wanted was pretty unique and was nearly 20 feet wide. So it had to be designed and installed properly so we would never risk it falling and hurting someone. The end product was installed very professionally and securely so I can sleep well at night knowing it is not at risk of falling. It has continued to perform for over a year now without any issues. My friends laugh at me and say "you know you've really made it when you can afford a custom awning." While that's true given its purpose and safety concerns I would never risk a foreign piece of cra* assembled by child labor. I wanted quality, and that meant American made and installed by the same company. I also sleep better at night knowing if anything ever needs service they are near by and actually answer the phone. read more

One of the friendliest staff you will ever deal with. LINDA is my go to girl for everything I need. I give everyone in my company the ability to order products from them as we need them. They all say the same thing. "Wow!! That LINDA is fabulous" Keep up the good work Alpha. read more

An excellent job re-installing my awning to a new exterior location after a lengthy home remodel. Alpha production is the best awning company , they executed a project for us in a professional way and done before the time frame The project actually finished four months ago but I only decide to write the revie now since we didn't have any problem with the huge 4 awning with motor fabric color accessories ... We used them because of their positive Yelp reviews. The young man who came out to quote our work for us was first rate. The order was completed in less time than they suggested and the solution to our overly sunny breakfast room (a very clever vertical shade rather than the awnings we had in the past) works well and is very unobtrusive. The installation was done professionally and quickly. Overall, this was a wonderful experience. These are people of integrity providing good value and high quality. Thanks, Alpha Productions! read more

Not a regular awning company or regular awnings. As a professional who has been in the shade products business (but not awnings) I have met many awning companies and know about all products in the market and Alpha Productions is as good as it gets. They have been making awnings for decades and make all parts and components in their own facility (not imported or from third parties). The owner Vatche is an engineer and fanatic about quality and details. He personally met and helped me select the right awning. I first wanted an exterior drop shade/screen but he suggested a drop arm awning that would provide full shade without reducing the visibility to the backyard and pool. Everything was done on time and installation went on without any glitch. They even cleaned the walls and the single finger print that some how got on the fabric. The awning looks amazing and functions perfectly and much better than a regular awning or screen for our application. My wife and I are very happy and wholeheartedly recommend Alpha Productions to anyone that needs an awning. read more

Amazing awnings! I visited their showroom to get a hands-on look at what they offer. I'm an engineer so I like to learn everything before I buy. The sales guys was really knowledgeable and helpful. Alpha Productions provided us with amazing customer service from start to finish. Scheduling a time to have Cliff (sales) come out to the house and provide us with an estimate was easy and quick. When he arrived, he didn't try to upsell me on products, he listened to my awning needs and made suggestions that helped me make decisions quickly and confidently. The pricing was competitive and did not seem outlandish. Working with Linda in the office to schedule the install was also easy and she made every effort to get us booked quickly. She was friendly and professional! Pablo and Fernando installed the vertical awnings and were clean, professional, conscientious, and thorough. They walked me to through the proper use and care of the products and when they were done, the awnings looked fantastic. Thanks so much, Alpha Productions! read more

I had 3 awnings done through Alpha Productions. It's been over a year and they're all working out very well. We received great compliments on them. Vatche the owner really cares about his customers and went out of his way to make sure we get the awning that's right for us. read more

If you want customer service or any service at all go somewhere else. I phoned three times in one week to get a sales person to come to my home and the sales person never called back. Then I visited the showroom where I was excited to get a new awning. There were no sales reps on site but I was happy to meet with Becky the receptionist. She was nice and tried to help saying for sure the sales rep would call. 2 days later at 5:30 at night the rep called but I was in a meeting and unable to answer. Her message was that she would call me in the morning. She did not call me in the morning or ever again. I then wrote an email to their contact on their web site. No reply. I am forced to move on even though they were a local business that I was ready to do business with. Guess they are just too busy to bother with the locals. read more

The five awnings my husband and I purchased from this company have been a terrific investment! They look great, provide much needed shade, keeping the house cooler, and operate very well. Today's review is really about their service, however. One of the awnings (nearly 5 years old, vertical roll-down model) just stopped operating. Although I waited about ten days for a service opening to become available (it's summer and the hot weather generates higher demand, so I understand), their staff was always very polite and the guys who came out this morning were exceptional. Louis was delightful, (my dogs liked him too) and the guys were clean and efficient in determining the problem. They discovered quite a lot of old wasp nesting when the unit cover was removed which they cleaned before having to change the motor (happily, it was still under the warranty). They even swept up the area around where they'd worked leaving it tidier than when they'd arrived. I recommend their products and I'm very satisfied with their service. read more

We have known these guys for years! They do the best work in creating shade. I have a very bad time sleeping with light in the bedroom.
