In addition, he replaced the thermo coil with a used part. Part of the fee is a walk on fee that others only charge if no work is performed. Second guy came in and did perform a cleaning but they didn't address the issue. Eversource had come in and we discovered the actual issue and it was after the first kid came in and blindly replaced parts that did not need to be replaced. We have been of customers Gottier Plumbing & Heating AND their Oil service for well over 35 years;…read morethey have been there for us when we've needed them and they have provided excellent service and support. 2 months (December) after we moved into our house in Vernon, CT, many years ago, our furnace needed to be replaced. We reached out to Gottier, a local Oil/Plumbing & Heating company. They came right out and replaced the furnace and put us on a payment plan. Very easy and excellent work. Well, 37 years later, we found ourselves needing to replace that furnace. We called Gottier. We didn't even get a 2nd opinion because we didn't want to use someone else. They gave us another great payment plan and came out to install the furnace. When they left that afternoon we had a new furnace and everything was cleaned up as if they hadn't even been there. Unfortunately, they didn't clean up the rest of the basement so we're going to have to do that ourselves! Lol. When I lost my job a few years ago it happened to coincide with an increase in oil prices and our monthly budget payment was going to increase significantly. I called Gottier and told them that I had lost my job and the woman I spoke to was just so sympathetic and adjusted our budget plan so that we could afford it until I found another job. Her last words to me as we hung up: "Promise me that when you get another job you'll call and we can adjust the amount to reflect the increase." I promised and 6 weeks later, I called her to tell her of my new job. She was so excited for me! And for Gottier, of course! What's prompting me to put this in a review today? I would stay far away from this company!!! This company was formally know as PEACHYWAH heating and cooling and switched their name. I had Greg and Josh out to my house to do a install on a mini split system, and at first everything seemed on the up and up, the price was good, they seemed nice and said "we are a totally customer serviced based company". However that all changed and I fast found out how they really were. It started when they continued to push my job further and further back coming up with every excuse they could think of. Then once they actually got around to doing the work the craftsmanship was REALLY crappy!!! They had a kid from a tech school as a laborer who couldn't drill a whole without screwing it up. When it was brought to their attention that this kid had slipped off a screw head and punched a whole in my siding, I was told to fill it with caulk because thats all they would do to fix it. I told them that was not ok with me because the hole was not there when they started and wanted the piece of siding switched out and they said they would not do that. and the list goes on. Now fast forward to the end of the job.... I paid them in cash in full which was my stupid fault because then when it came time to have a final inspection with the town for the permit to close, it failed inspection. I contacted Josh to advise him on what had failed inspection and I was told that they were going out of business and pretty much it was not their problem. I told them the permit was in their name and it had to be closed out and again was told it was not their problem I'd have to figure it out on my own. So after almost a year of dealing with the town and having to file a code modification through he state, I finally got my permit closed on my own. The only way I found out that they had opened up under this new name was from the town inspector telling me. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!
