Who thinks lighting a fire next to a building and letting all the smoke go in its direction is okay? Our chicken coop was completely filled with smoke & it started to fill our house. When Ryan came to clean & inspect our chimney, he found that we had some cracks that left him with…read morethe opinion that we should not be using our wood burning fireplace. We were devastated, since we use our fireplace a few times per week during the winter. He suggested we add an insert. Since I had worked with my grandfather (a talented mason) in my youth where we repaired 2 chimneys, I was fairly sure we could fix it If I found someone willing. We found Earl Brothers Masonry to do the job. Ryan from Soot Master worked with us throughout the project answering questions as they came up. He inspected the chimney 2 more times. He offered suggestions after the second inspection and then a PASS on the third. We are so grateful to Ryan for his knowledge and his willingness to share it! I don't think you could find a better person to help you with your fireplace/Chimney issues.

Owner Rich came out for an estimate on an HVAC install. The…read moreestimate was 10K For a 1 day install: with 1 electrical and 1 Hvac. Plus a $550 permit and about $400 in materials. So, if you are an electrician for this company make sure you invoice for about $500/hr! And their HVAC guys, I think its awesome your boss pays you $500/hr. But clients beware, there is a lot of gouging going on. Usually its $150/hr for the technical. And call the suppliers, you'll see the cost of the HVAC equipment is much less than you are being quoted! And other than duct work, its an easy day or two for an install. So do the math, and don't let our community be the place where we pay $ 500/hr for electricians.
