The service was done and the technician made several suggestions about needed repairs that were flat out false. When I went to pay him the I was charged 449.00 for the service 60.00 for a collar he said I needed, plus tax for a total of 513.35. I was told the chimney cap needed to be replaced and would cost 1500.00 dollars and recieved an estimate for replacing the bricks in the fireplace of 901.19. I only needed two bricks replaced but he recommended I replace them all. Additionally the cleaning of the stove was sloppy and the grates on the exterior were covered in ash. I believe this is a case of someone trying to take advantage of a senior. Im sure he thought I would never get on the roof to check out his recommendations. I would never hire this company or recommend them to anyone!

We have used Wicks for roofing repairs on 4 homes in the past 10 years and have been very satisfied…read more I used them again last week for a leak from water heater vent and they sealed up all my roof vents and fixed the leak. We have 2 homes with tile roofs as well and one had to have 2 major leaks fixed. One leak was from a nail that was part of the roof install originally but caused a long term leak. Two areas of the tile roof had to be completely removed down to the wood and replaced. The shingles were saved and put back on and you cannot tell it was repaired. The fascia had rotted from the leaking and was replaced. Excellent work.

I called Alpha fire to find out whether it was necessary to have the fire sprinkler system in my…read morehome checked. I feel the information I got on the phone was misleading. The women told me that many people get their system inspected once a year implying that it was very important to have an inspection. It turns out virtually no residential user does that, businesses do because their systems are required to be inspected once a year. She also told me that the cost would be $250 and it might only take 45 minutes and wanted to be sure I was OK with that. I said yes. It didn't take 45 minutes it took under 10 minutes. All the technician did was turn a water valve on for less than a minute to see if the bell would ring. It did and he was done. He would've been done in five minutes except he couldn't get the valve to turn easily. The technician said he never been asked to do a residential inspection before. I paid the $250 but feel misled and ripped off.
