I recently purchased blinds from One Source Blinds and wanted to update my review after speaking with Tim, the owner. Tim personally called me to discuss my concerns, and I really appreciated the time he took to listen. He was professional, respectful, and genuinely cared about my experience. That level of customer service and ownership speaks well of the company. My original frustration centered around not being able to receive an itemized breakdown of the approximately $1,000 purchase. I was told that the pricing was proprietary, and as a customer, I had hoped for more transparency. I also had a negative interaction with one employee Diana that I felt became unnecessarily confrontational rather than focused on resolving my concerns. Fortunately, Tim handled the situation very differently. His willingness to reach out personally, listen to my feedback, and demonstrate that he values his customers made a meaningful difference. While I still believe there's an opportunity to improve communication and professionalism in customer interactions, I appreciate how seriously Tim took my concerns. We've been working with Shon at One Source since 2014; wonderful job fixing us up with Plantation Shutters and blinds! She is always on top of the project - shows up on time for appointments and gets back to us immediately if we have a question / issue. Recently, some of the blinds installed in 2014 had been showing wear & tear; when we called her she immediately got over to check out the issue. She informed us that the blinds are still under warrantee and will replace all of them NO CHARGE. She always shows up on time, wears a mask now in the time of Covid-19 and is very concerned about safety for all. Absolutely recommend the company and Shon's service! We purchased a home that suffered from significant "deferred maintenance." Over the past year we've done a lot of repair and upgrades. This plays into my review of One Source We decided to go with blinds, several thousand dollars' worth. We like the thermal properties of dual cell blinds. Everyone who worked with us, from the person who answered the phone, to the team that came out to measure, to the installers, were courteous and knowledgeable. We selected cordless blinds and, unfortunately, when the blinds were installed, most of them didn't stay up. The people at One Source worked with the manufacturer (Hunter Douglas) to identify the problem and obtain replacement parts. When the parts arrived, One Source called and scheduled the re-do. The tech who came out to replace the parts was very professional. He did a great job (even wore gloves to make sure he didn't leave fingerprints anywhere). Here's another example of great (and ethical) customer service. The first time the design consultant came out, she lugged a huge pile of sample books into our living room. After looking around a little, she asked, "Are you planning to replace the windows?" "Yes," I said. "We have some structural repairs to take care of first, but the windows are leaky and have corroded so badly that they barely open and close, so new windows are definitely on the list." "Hmmm," the designer said. "If that's the case, we should wait 'til you have the new windows in place. Your new windows will almost certainly have different dimensions, and you'll be happier with the blinds if we can measure what's actually there." Now think about that. The designer could've made a (multi-thousand dollar) sale *right then* but instead, she chose to do the "right thing." So, many months later, we called One Source back and purchased our blinds from them. The same designer came out and completed the process. read more

Hard to do business with, felt blown off. I sent an email inquiry and received a call back with a message +5 stars. Web site says open to 4, we called at 2:30 and were told they were closing = -1 star. Then the lady began quizzing us to figure out if she wanted to stay another five minutes to meet we us -1. My email had all the detail and we told her them too. -1. The final straw was her reluctance to meet with us and himming and hawing about how she was about to leave, hadn't planned to even be there, and how serious were we. -1. We told her to never mind. We stopped by one other time when the internet said they were open and they were not. I don't do business with people who think I work for them. Sorry one source, my 30k+ in automated hunter douglas 4" charcoal silhouette for 15, 10' windows just went to your competition. read more

We where hesitant to have shutters installed in our home. We have a custom log home and any damage to the wood and there is no turning back. Shon assured us we would have nothing to worry about. Most businesses, I think, want to do it right. And, most of the time, the profitable ones do. But, what about those times when something goes "sideways"? Recently, One Source installed some very beautiful cabinets in my neighbor's garage. Unfortunately, during the install, a drain pipe in my shared wall was punctured. There was no way the installers could have known - at the time - that they nicked a drain and it was only a year later when the latent damage became patent. After a careful investigation by the insurance companies and after reviewing all of the facts, One Source Home Solutions demonstrated something that only outstanding businesses demonstrate. They took responsibility when things went "sideways." In my opinion, One Source is the kind of company I want to keep. They have earned my trust and my business. I recently moved into a Trilogy home at Monarch Dunes. The model that we chose is the Morro; which has 28 windows...yup 28 windows which means that we needed 28 window "treatments". Coming from apartment living for the past 7 years, the concept of "window treatments" was a bit of a shock. We happened upon One Source; and folks...that's all you have to know. They came quickly and did the measurements. More importantly they made suggestions as to what "treatments" to to go with, not only in terms of cost, but what would make the most compelling sense in terms of privacy, views, and decorator ideas to make a room "pop". But as good as they were to deal with professionally, the installation team was beyond expectations. They actually did a "white glove" installation. They were fastidious to a fault. They were fast and efficient and took care not to leave a speck of dust anywhere. They were respectful of our new home and installation was top notch. So from my perspective, don't look elsewhere; I'm a rather critical former New Yorker and they earned the 5 stars and then some. read more
