What a fabulous company. Our designer Shon was very knowledgeable, precise with her measurements, and took into consideration our need for reducing heat but allowing light with our french door and side lights. Julie did our install and we couldn't be happier with their service, and ultimately how very kind and professional they were. Thank you! We love it! read more

We had a few companies out for quotes on top up bottom down cellular shades as well as a cellular shade for a sliding glass door. We were shocked at the prices! We had The Blind Lady out and were so pleased, they came in about $700 less than other companies, it was a better brand AND we were able to go motorized on all 3 top up bottom down while still saving money! They delivered & installed everything 2 weeks sooner than promised and they look wonderful! Highly recommend read more

Professional, reliable and affordable. What more can you want? I had blinds installed in the dining area of my kitchen, and later more blinds in a studio. Everything went beautifully. Ten years later, one string of a blind broke, so all the strings had to be replaced. Julie did the work on the living room rug, the result was excellent, and the price lower than I expected. I am very happy with this company. read more

Our little house needed all new window coverings, and all of the neighbors recommended the Blind Lady! Within a few days of our call, we were met at the house and shown several sample options, got excited about the colors, and overall had a blast choosing our blinds while they measured the windows. Once the blinds were ready, the installer came over and took care of business, with plenty of fun conversation and expert work. I am so glad that we found this local business to take care of us. I wouldn't go anywhere else! Our blinds are a perfect, subtle complement to our house and didn't break the bank. read more

Professional service. Efficient installation. Reasonable prices. Pleased and will recommend to friends

I have been going to the blind lady for 20 years ever since I moved into my house. Originally Cindy did my whole house with Blinds, drapes and I even had a comforter made. Since then we have re-done some of the windows. We have a small place down south and I took measurements and then picked out what I wanted and she got everything for me and my husband and I put the coverings up. We had an issue with one of our blinds and the manufacturer replaced it at no cost after 17 years. Recently one of our wands that open blinds broke and the manufacturer is going to replace it at no cost. I just love the service and the people. I highly recommend. read more

We have used the Blind Lady since we moved to Cambria. The current owner Monique is professional and after measuring she will give you suggestions and options (colors etc) if you you are not sure of what you want. Mike the installer did a great job installing our shutters and making sure everything looks great. I took out one star because the wait for our recent shutters were like 3-4 weeks long. If the wait is shorter then I'll update review and give 5 stars. read more

I looked into several window covering companies and decided to go with a local company. I'm so glad I did. From the first appointment, Monique was so helpful with getting my selections just right. We had a couple issues with shipping, but during COVID it was to be expected. Sue in the office was always helpful and pleasant and Andrew, the installer was respectful and conscientious. I highly recommend The Blind Lady for your window covering needs! read more

Stellar Experience with Monique at The Blind Lady! Blinds.com sent us a shoddy product and after reordering we waited 6 months for Blinds.com to send the replacement..it never arrived, we had enough. And another local window coverings business gave us an absolutely ridiculously expensive estimate. We were at a loss after 8 months in a new home with no window coverings. Most everyone I spoke to in San Luis Obispo County raved about The Blind Lady so I scheduled an appointment and Monique arrived on time and with excellent suggestions for our newly constructed home. After deciding on three potential Roman shade natural materials Monique called the manufacturer from my house to make sure the product was available at the manufacturer. She then reserved the product and placed the order. It was simple, efficient, cost effective and my window coverings arrived on time and in perfect condition. I cannot believe I waited to work with Monique! I love supporting local small businesses and The Blind Lady exceeded our expectations in every way! I cannot speak more highly about her customer service, product quality and stellar interior recommendations. The Blind Lady absolutely lived up to her excellent reputation! read more

The Blind Lady - Stellar Service, Product Quality - Shades & Blinds Near Me

The Blind Lady is a first class business! My husband and I just moved to the area...we had some work done on our house and when the contractors were finished, our very expensive blinds were inoperable/broken. Julie came out and as soon as she walked in the door, she presented herself with confidence and expertise, quickly getting to work on the blinds -- it was a comfort to have someone come in and know their craft! There was some drilling involved to fix our blinds -- we were so very impressed that Julie took great care to clean up the areas in which she was working...wow...what professionalism! Within the hour, she had our blinds operating and the cost for the work was so very reasonable...they are professional and courteous! When we get ready to purchase/upgrade our blinds, we will call/purchase from The Blind Lady! read more

November 2015 Cindy came to my home measured windows , listened carefully to what I needed , made suggestions, and in a few weeks Julie came to quickly install in all rooms and I've been thoroughly pleased ever since. Will recommend The Blind Lady to anyone interested in installing window coverings in their home. Monique was the ideal designer, reading my style and inclinations to certain colors/patterns over others, and had great insight into what would work well in my home. Sue, in the office, is efficient and helpful, while Julie was communicative and accommodating in scheduling and executing the installation. All in all a wonderful experience and I am so pleased with my new blinds. read more

We were referred to Blind Lady by some friends so Monique came to our home with lots of ideas and swatches. We have previously had the large white blinds in another home but wanted something different. After discussing all the options, we decided to choose the roller shades because they would not obstruct our ocean view. We have three large windows and were concerned if only one roller shade would work. Well, it looks great in each window and are so easy to make go up or down. The fabric we selected matched almost perfectly with our interior wall paint shade. Julie arrived to install these wide roller shades like the professional that she is. And, we absolutely love them! We are excited to no longer be living in a 'fish bowl' once the sun goes down . Thank you, Monique and Julie, for helping us from start to finish! - The Johnson's read more

I wanted to give a shoutout to the new owner Monique! I took a blind in that my husband had dropped and broke the wand. Monique was a joy to talk with- professional, sweet, and very helpful! We have bought 2 households of mini blinds from this company and I really recommend their services. Especially with the new ownership! Please give Monique an opportunity to place blinds in your home. Excellent service from beginning to installation. We recently remodeled our home and got a couple of quotes for new window coverings all round. We were impressed with the high quality options, some lower cost, and the service from I'm the Blind Lady. Bonnie knew her products, understood how the various light throughout the day would affect the color of the blinds and the brightness in the rooms. We made a visit to the showroom and found that our options were even greater than we had originally thought. We ended up going with a shutter treatment for patio doors and one room. It's truly lovely and there were able to be installed easily in the existing window and door frames. Bonnie double checked measurement to be sure the shutters were accurate. Installation was scheduled at our convenience and was done quickly with no mess. Very friendly service from all staff. The Hunter Douglass blinds are wonderful and easy to operate. Thanks to the product knowledge are care taken at every step, we are very satisfied and would not change a thing! read more

Disappointing experience with this company. Purchased my own curtains to have tailored and hung in my new home. When they arrived the tailor had ruined my curtains ! I was not able to repurchase as they were not in stock. Yet I was still charged for the other order which was crooked. Basically I don't suggest this company. Customer Service is not their strong suit. .. read more
