Our home is circa 1901, before the original 1910 sewer was installed. So we definitely got well over a century's worth of daily use out of it, but it was time. Okay, maybe a bit past time. I say this calmly now, after the fact. Some of it even feels funny, but I was highly stressed in the moment. Thankfully, I was recommended to contact Mark Alonzo of SLO Trenchless by several neighbors and friends. From then on, things were just handled, and in an highly professional and capable manner. The permitting, the coordinating of traffic and parking schedules, the inspections, and all the while regular communication with me. You see, I might not be the easiest customer, especially under stress, and this entire experience was far from my bailiwick. Mark was calm, informative, beyond patient with me, and now possibly qualifies as a therapist. The project took some time, and served as a talking point for family, friends, neighbors, and dogwalkers. Once started, everything was handled in a timely, courteous, and tidy manner. The technician Nate diagnosed the issue as a simple diverter, which he himself said costs around $20. However, we were then quoted $700 for the repair. When we asked if there was any flexibility on pricing, we were told there is no negotiation -- but then were offered a $50 discount in exchange for leaving a 5-star review, which felt inappropriate and not genuine. The interaction became uncomfortable when we questioned the pricing, and the explanation given (overhead, gas, etc.) did not justify such a large markup for what appears to be a straightforward repair. For comparison, we had another licensed professional come out the same day. They applied the inspection fee toward the repair and completed the job for $200 total, which felt much more reasonable and transparent. Overall, this felt like a waste of time and money. I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before proceeding.

We had shoreline install some sunroom walls under an existing covered patio. I asked them a couple…read moretimes during the install if it would leak and they assured me it wouldnt. As soon as it rained, water was leaking through the connection between the stucco and the sunroom wall. They said the leaks were because of the existing patio and they couldn't do anything about it . I'll give shoreline this, they tried to help by adding caulking and waterproof painting(not enough), and it helped a little, but I had to add another layer of waterproof paint that encompassed the whole area to really make sure it helped. After a year, the sunroom wall itself (not the stucco) started leaking in a few places. I had to caulk the leaks and still am having issues today. I would give them 2 stars for at least attempting to help, but the amount of stress I had over this made me give them 1 star. I wish they had considered all possibilities before even installing the sunroom walls. I would not use them for sunroom installation.
