I've been dyeing my hair really dark (dark brown - black) for years, last time being February. I do not recommend getting your hair done by Alph Qiu at all. He has a problem with listening to what the customer wants and executing it. Huge disappointment. I showed him multiple pictures of what I wanted, which was cooler tone grays with highlights and lowlights that blend at the root with light money pieces to frame the face. What I got was a mess. My hair was a warm light orange brown color. There was no dimension. I used to do my own hair so I know a bit about balayage/highlights/toning. Of course it is one color. He toned it once to that color after bleaching and didn't go in to add dye on specific pieces or tone some pieces darker/cooler. By the time we were finished, the whole day had went by and there was no time to fix anything. I reminded him earlier because I had a bad feeling he wasn't doing what I wanted but he kept saying he knows/it's fine. At the end, he said I can come back in two weeks if I don't like it. He said it will look better after a few washes which makes no sense. He never did the blonde money pieces so I was definitely going to come back to add those. I came back two weeks later. My hair, even with purple shampoo, was brassy. It was an orangey light brown color. I explained to him that I wanted the face framing blonde pieces in the front. He said okay and prepared the bleach. I don't know what he was thinking yet again because he bleached 1mm of hair on each side. What a joke. What is the point of that? To save bleach? It takes the same time to let an inch of hair sit and develop... I wanted obvious lighter pieces. In the end I wasted 3+ hours not including commute time just for my hair to come out the exact same. I decided to go for a dark brown foilayage because I had ash brown/ blonde balayage for many years and wanted to a change.
