The pictures really don't do justice to the beauty and grandeur of the huge spaces, which were completely transformed, which was good because our venue was not particularly attractive. It truly looked even better than what I could even dream of. These services don't come cheap, but Allison was very transparent with pricing of individual items, was willing to work with our budget, and saved us money wherever possible by reusing items between events. She threw in the most beautiful custom dance floor wrap for no extra charge for our reception, which was so appreciated! As a planner, Allison was so thoughtful and warm. With her in charge, we probably had the world's only on time Indian wedding. Allison's schedule was immaculate and I can't imagine how everything could have run as smoothly as it did without her behind the scenes calling vendors, directing traffic, and putting out fires. Her hard work allowed us to enjoy our big day that much more. Our only feedback would be that Allison put so much effort in that she was clearly stretched thin so we often felt like we had to go over the same details multiple times during the planning process and day of, some details (but not essential ones) were not executed the way we envisioned. I think this would happen in any situation where the lead decorator and coordinator of a 300 person event were the same person, so that is something to consider with bigger events. On the flip side, having the same person as planner and decorator made those two essential pieces that much more coordinated. 10 out of 10 would recommend, thank you Allison and team!!!

And, when my musician cancelled on me just 3 hours before the event (who was not booked through Parties & Props), Allison jumped in and made some calls and had a musician there in time for the event. Because our guests had a lot of food issues - gluten, nut and dairy it was a real challenge! Stephanie carefully curated a menu that hit all of our requirements. In addition, because we live out of town for most of the year, our decorations, holiday plates and whatnot were quite limited. Stephanie put my fears to rest by assuring me she'd take care of all the details. As the day of the party dawned, we had the place all cleaned up and ready. Stephanie and Mary arrived about an hour before the guests and set to work transforming our little place into a festive, inviting party spot. We had holiday cocktails and mocktails, delicious heavy appetizers and desserts that were out of this world. Stephanie literally thought of everything. All the food was labeled so our guests could choose foods that were best for their food sensitivities. At the end of the party they gathered everything up, helped set aside uneaten food for later consumption and left with very little for us to other than sweep the floor and fall into bed after a very fun and satisfying gathering of friends. The day was going to be very special for us, but we were approaching it very low-key. The lovely lady at the desk asked for my color and flower preferences, to which I responded very vaguely. She asked for my price point, and then said she'd take care of everything. I arrived about an hour before my wedding. She and two of the other ladies came out to congratulate me and deliver a GORGEOUS bouquet and boutonnière. I was blown away. We received compliments on them all day long. She was thrilled, delighted and touched by the beauty of the flowers and the artistry of the arrangement. Could I possibly ask for more? But, more is exactly what I received from this service-oriented, customer-focused floral shop. I'll begin with Amanda, the floral designer. Pleasant, upbeat, and totally in tune with the detailed explanation of my expectations. In a 33-minute conversation, we covered: precise container, flowers, colors, height & shape of arrangement, amount of floral flow over the container and delivery timing. And... She delivered - right down to the type of berries I wanted. BRAVO AMANDA! BRAVO!!! I also applaud other members of their incredibly pleasant staff. My initial contact was with Mary. She was efficient and helpful with size, pricing & staff selection. Brief conversations with Tony & Jane confirmed that this is precisely the shop I would go to for a large, important function or event. So why does my opinion matter? I have been a flower arranger for more than 30 years. I have showcased arrangements at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston three times (for their Art in Bloom fundraiser). I have received ribbons at the Boston Flower Show and numerous local Garden Club Flower Shows & Fairs. I have high expectations. I am BEYOND delighted when a floral shop meets them. My thanks and appreciation to BUDS Floral. Looking forward to our next collaboration!

    We were a "COVID Couple" that had originally planned to get married in May with 100+ guests, but…read morewhen quarantine rolled around, we made the difficult decision to move our date to September and cut our guest list to below 50. Through the whole process, Orlando's was right there with us with compassion, love, and understanding. They bent their own rules by doing away with their standard minimum guest count, still honored the per person price, gave us a partial refund and credit towards goods and services for the big day. This was totally above and beyond what we would have expected for any business in an industry hit extremely hard by the pandemic, they took the loss in fairness to us and that right there tells you the integrity of the business in extremely tough times. If that was how the story ended, that would be enough to give a 5 star review. But the wedding weekend absolutely blew us away and far exceeded our expectations. We booked out the majority of the rooms at the Lodge at Grant's Trail (owned by Orlando's), hosted our rehearsal dinner at the lodge, and had our reception at Orlando's. I would recommend this trifecta for any couple looking for a great place to host the wedding weekend. The lodge is a perfect Airbnb feel, with the privacy and convenience of a hotel room (having private bathrooms is nice). We had the entire lodge to ourselves that weekend which allowed us to have a central location for all of our family and friends to hang out before and after the official start times of our weekend events. The Mary Lincoln and Abe Lincoln room were perfect for bride/groom separated sleeping the night before and big suite on wedding night. The included breakfast is cooked to order and served as if you were at a restaurant. The venue space worked perfectly for a rehearsal dinner and allowed everyone to safely walk to their rooms after the party instead of having to drive. The lodge is a MUST add-on to the wedding weekend when booking at Orlando's. Did I mention it's walking distance to Orlando's event center?? Huge plus. Our reception was at Orlando's event center and it was everything we had hoped for and more. First of all, the room itself was beautifully decorated and was the perfect amount of space. They have three separate rooms in the event center, separated by air walls, which to be honest was a big concern for me going into it. I thought you might be able to hear everything going on the next room over, but never heard anything from the other rooms the whole night. The prices are a great value compared to everywhere else we looked (and we looked at a lot of places). Finally and most importantly, the staff there was incredible and put the icing on the cake of a perfect weekend. We ended up having Sam Orlando Jr. as our wedding coordinator and his customer service was EXCELLENT. Always willing to work with us and always went above and beyond to make us feel special and to ensure we had the most perfect weekend. From the top down, everyone on the staff was personable, friendly, attentive, and willing to go the extra mile to make sure we felt special. Carol was a crowd favorite and Timmie the bartender even sent us a handwritten note after we got home from our honeymoon. The staff and the service are the reasons we will be returning to Orlando's for future gatherings and parties and why we would recommend anyone to book with Orlando's for their wedding weekend.
