I am in the beginning stages of planning my sister's baby shower. The time to print and buy shower invitations is now upon me. Also, I've been the to sushi place next door a few times at night and always admire the gigantic giraffe in the window. I stopped in yesterday with my boyfriend to check out and get a price on the giraffe (baby present, hello!) and see what kind of invite printing/customization they offer. The employees were sitting in the back, talking to another customer about an order she had placed. There is a bell, and the place is not that big; they clearly saw and heard us walk in. We were given a quick glance, and that was it. We walked around for five or ten minutes, looking at the invitations and small children's toys/gifts that they had. We even were obviously looking at the giraffe and trying to look for a price tag! Still, no one said a single word to us or gave us a second glance. We left without making a purchase, and I will NOT be returning. It's a shame, because they had several invites that I liked and obviously the giraffe I wanted to buy. Horrible, terrible customer service!

To be honest, it is uncomfortable to write details about my experience; but to keep it short and to the point. Shannon just doesn't have what it takes to manage many moving parts. You can hire her to plan your kids birthday party, but by no means can she handle a wedding; and mine had under 150 guests. My other vendors had a hard time coordinating with her and appeared disgruntled towards her. understandably so. She might appear to write things down, but manages to confuse dates, times and specific requests. Hope this helps the next bride; Pay a little more and get a stress free day!

Gretchen, our contact at Premier, was very responsive to our requests, questions and changes when our guest list ended up increasing. When I researched similar rental companies the prices were all very comparable. At the last minute we actually ran into trouble with the fire marshal wanting to inspect the tent so we ended up canceling the tent. Luckily, we had clear skies and great weather! We also had a bit of confusion on what day the items were being delivered (we changed it on them a few times) so the order showed up a day early but all was well. In the end the tables, chairs and glasses were quality and we couldn't have done the event without them. I would recommend them to other couples.

Premier Rental was very fair in their pricing and delivery requirements. We rented three cocktail tables and 75 chairs and they were high quality products. They arrived on time and set everything up to specification. The only reason I didn't give a 5 start review is they returned half an hour early for pick up. The drivers papers and my contract didn't match.

We were planning to just…read moreuse an iPod to self DJ our DIY wedding, but in the end we broke down and began looking for a DJ a few months before our date. Applause Productions provided ceremony, cocktail/dinner and dancing DJ services (5 hours total and set up two hours before) at a great price. They have an online PayPal payment system which made it easy pay our deposit and then final total. They arrived on time (two hours before our ceremony start time) to set up with sound, lights and a disco ball. Cole, our DJ, was nicely dressed, professional and very friendly to work with. I was able to chat with him about what I wanted and he accommodated our request to play straight from our pre-provided song list, which isn't their norm as they usually go off of a genre/style of your choosing and pick the songs themselves. If you are doing DIY and choosing between iPod playlists versus a DJ, one thing I will say is that the DJ almost acts as a wedding coordinator to make sure the ceremony songs go smoothly and play at the right time and that announcements are made like dinner, last call for food, first dances, cutting the cake, etc. For us this was a huge plus. At the end of the night Cole and his helper even helped us move a few things as we were cleaning up and made sure to ask if we needed anything else, how the day was for us, etc. I would highly recommend Cole and Applause Productions.

There's a desk lamp, moon lamp and swan lamp. I chose swan. You pay for your item at the time of your reservation. Day of event, you check in at the store and they give you a bag containing the item you purchased. You sit down and the fun begins! It's a little overwhelming at first but once you realize it's your project and it doesn't have to be perfect, you relax. First you choose the colors. Then you choose a pattern. Finally, glue the mosaic tiles onto your item. The glueing is a little tricky. Don't use a lot or the tile will slide. Let the glue get a little tacky before you place the pieces. There are no guide lines on the glass so be careful of placement. The employees are so nice. They bring everyone a sample of a Turkish dessert and a small Turkish coffee. I had an amazing time! Go solo or bring a bunch of friends! Once home, you have the option to add grout. This is tricky because some of your tiles will fall off. Thank goodness they allow you to take a few extra tiles home with you.

They were bent crooked or missing a piece, and it was discouraging. The tiles are all cut poorly, so you have to dig and make sure you are getting a non-lopsided one. There was very little instruction given by the employee, and when we did request assistance, it seemed like we were bothering her. The website claims Turkish treats and coffee will be provided. The coffee comes in the smallest size Dixie cup and was half full, no treats were mentioned. We ended up having some trouble with the glue and the attendant just kept asking "what's the problem?" And when we explained our issues, instead of offering guidance, she just hovered until we were done. I might try another location to see if the supplies are higher quality and the staff are better trained, but it's unlikely.
