Matt serviced our A/C units and showed us the condition things were in. As new homeowners, we were unaware of how good or bad the units were, and Matt helped us see we could be running them more efficiently and safely if he made some repairs after servicing. We went ahead with the recommended fixes, and he made all the repairs while he was here. He showed us that he really cares about his customers, and took good care of us when we had a lot of questions we needed help with. A few weeks later, Brian came over to perform a home energy audit and brought to our attention some additional issues that were causing us to leak energy and money. Although it's hard to accept that there's a lot of deferred maintenance we have to spend money on, we trust the team from Ideal and appreciate their review of our home. My father was a very successful commercial HVAC salesman in another state, and I grew up in the world of air conditioner talk and spent a lot of time at his company. While they were there, they found a way to reduce the cost of the work. The work was completed, and then they asked for payment. It was never explained that everything wasn't paid in full when they came out and did the work and were now asking for $800 more. It wasn't so much that they were asking for more money (which once it was broken down, it made sense), it was their attitude and how quick they were to sending to me collections. They claimed they phoned me but I never received any calls. I told them I didn't believe I owed more money and then one day I received a notice of cancellations. It also was sent with a notice to reply by a specific date that already passed so essentially they sent me a notice to pay by a date that had already passed. I liked them at first, but wouldn't wish this company on anyone now. Side note. The crew that came out and did the work were great guys! Office admin TERRIBLE. Buyer Beware.

I figured this was perfect timing to connect with the team at Larson and schedule a visit. Scheduling was a breeze and the office staff are incredibly nice and accommodating. My technician James was running a little early for our appointment, and I was given the option to keep my existing service window or have him arrive early. We bumped up my appointment and he arrived right on time. James was incredibly polite, professional and paid close attention to every detail, making sure to clean up after himself. I fully expected James to find some issues with my AC unit as I know Larson operates by a different philosophy than some other service providers. My experience is that Larson likes to be proactive and give you the opportunity to tackle issues before they become emergencies (super important as your ac unit gets older). This can be seen as both good and bad depending on your goals and needs for your AC unit. The choice is always yours to proceed with the work or wait on it. I'm grateful they provide me with data and information to make an informed decision. In my case there were a few recommendations during the visit, and I chose to proceed with the most critical to remediate. I'm actually very thankful James found a potential bearing issue before my warranty was out. Larson was as good or even better than I remember them being when I worked with them at my old house. We had significant issues related to voids, lack of insulation and a very warm bedroom located above the garage. After he came and did the assessment, we came up with a plan to do what we thought were the fastest ROI. We changed all of our ducts to R-8, extended the plenums, increase the insulation level to R-30 and filled up all the voids and air leaks, added a return and put more efficient grills. At the end, our electric bill went down, the rooms were more comfortable and temperature equalized. Jason is really meticulous and really knows its stuff. I would recommend him for new or old constructions. Yes, you read that right, he can tell you if the builder did the right things for your AC or if he took shortcuts which may lead to issues to you as soon as your system is out of warranty. Thermo S and another company's estimates came back close but with very different approaches to cooling down a bedroom that was always hot. In the end, we decided Thermo's solution sounded more logical. In the end we went with Thermo S because of Caden's expertise with duct work. He recommended duct sealing and adding an extra vent in addition to insulation. Day of, the team showed up on time, did the work efficiently, and cleaned up their mess. The difference was instant. The air felt cooler coming out of the ducts, the A/C comes on less, the hot bedroom is cooler, and the house is quieter. I do have bad allergies/chemical sensitivities and the duct sealing was rough but after 3-4 days the smell faded and it's been fine. I would say communication with the office could have been better but they always returned calls the same day. All and all a very positive experience--I would highly recommend Thermo-S.

Opted not to have insulation done after the A/C installation. After the few hot days we encountered I notice for a brand new A/C my home was not cooling the way I thought it should. I contact GF to come out and they gave me a great quote that beat the other 2 I received from the previous 2 A/C companies. I went ahead and moved forward with the process. I notices right away the difference. I had NO insulation in my attic. How is that even possible, I was throwing money out the window, but now I actually can feel the air getting cooler and staying cool in the home. UPDATE Mr. Russo,…read morethe owner of REEis, called me several times; he wanted to talk to me. I agreed to speak with Mr. Russo on Saturday February 28, 2026. He called and asked me what he could do to find a solution that would make me happy. We discussed both units. We paid for new units, but the grilles are damaged and look pretty bad. He said he'd send his best technician, Dennis, to examine the units. We also discussed the electrical panel, which I paid $6,800 for (it didn't need replacing). He agreed to reimburse me $4,800, and he said Dennis was going to bring the check. Dennis came and inspected the units.  I asked him about the check he was supposed to give me.  He said he didn't know anything about it. I sent an email Monday march 9th  to Mr. Russo why he hadn't given me the promised check and how he planned to resolve my issues.   I am still waiting for his response. It's terrible that after agreeing to something there has been no follow-up.  His word is worthless.  This reflects very poorly on the company.   Don't hire this company.  If the owner doesn't keep his promises, what can you expect? I was going to update my review to a positive one if they had honored their word; but he didn't, even after repeatedly asking me what he could do to find a satisfactory solution. Today is Monday March 23th, and I still haven't heard from Mr. Russo.

Hired this woman owned business to do an energy audit around my attic vents. Approved business by…read moreSRP. Getting the audit scheduled was difficult as the owner told me and the worker two different times. The initial audit took 45 minutes and he informed me I had a lot of air leaks that would need to be addressed. I hired them to fix the attic leaks, again the work was accomplished by 2 guys in less than an hour. When I asked for an auditor to come out and give me post repair numbers a totally different guy showed up with totally different equipment. He was here for over 2 hrs. Discovered that my chimney flue was open which was a big source of the leaking. His vent numbers were acceptable and totally different from first audit. Hard to trust that the vents were in need of sealing when the testing was totally different.
