He quickly diagnosed a possible leak in the A/C line so we decided to get a new Mitsubishi unit to replace our old Fujitsu. Just had our bedroom split AC unit serviced for the first time since we bought it about 5 years ago…read more(oops). It was feeling not quite as cold and the fan seemed like it was working a little harder, so I wanted to get it cleaned before the hot summer months hit! I *hate* making phone calls, but the receptionist was SUPER nice, so that immediately put me at ease. Their quote was flat rate and very reasonable so I was happy I wouldn't be guessing how much it would come to at the end. She apologized for not being able to get me in the week I called but was able to fit me in the next week - which was faster than I had expected! The technician came at the quoted time and took about an hour, which is how long they had told me on the phone. It says something about other companies on island that this is a noteworthy comment! He was very friendly and worked quickly and efficiently. He showed me the visible spots he had cleaned, but the best thing is now our AC is back to being icy cold - I had to bump it up to make it warmer! - and it smells nice and clean. I paid in cash (there is a fee if you use card. You can also write a check if you prefer). We will definitely be happy to use this company again in the future!

I think the air conditioning wasn't working for about a week, but yesterday was the last straw. Father Adondee looked at me and said, "You'd better call someone." "Yes, Father!" I looked on my Yelp app for air conditioning repair and Jimmys AC Repair & Maintenance was the first business that popped up. This company had good reviews, so I called and they answered the phone right away. I told them that we were suffering and needed help. The receptionist said they would be there the next day... He introduced us to Jeff, his coworker that he was training. Cool! We showed them the unit. They opened the panel, and diagnosed the problem quickly! He explained everything well and understood that we would have to go through the Finance Council to approve a new air-conditioning unit. Jimmy understood that it would take time and that if we wanted to get other quotes and compare, other companies could be cheaper and that he's not the cheapest... but you get what you pay for... The positives: Communication was great and they were very responsive. On the day of the job, they were punctual and confirmed the job details before starting. The baseboards and the bathroom were cleaned well. Negative: The kitchen however, was a half-assed job. The white chemical residue from the cleaning product was left behind inside the oven and I had to clean the rest of the oven myself as you can see by the black stained rag and black water in the photos. The outside of the microwave was wiped down but the inside was completely overlooked. There were crumbs and food stains as shown in the photo. I would be embarrassed to recommend this company to friends and family and in the future I will do better research.
