Takeout lunch from Aiea, Oahu, Hawaii... I was at Pearlridge Mall and decided to bring home a healthy lunch to share with my mom. The Yelp app brought me to Aloha Salads. I was familiar with Aloha Salads because I had patronized their Kahala Mall location. Finding Aloha Salads at Pearlridge is a bit challenging... I had to ask. It's above Longs Drugs and down the hall with Guava Smoked and Sugah Daddeh's Kane Juice. I ordered a Mandarin Ginger Salad and - because I saw a picture of it - a Tutu's Chicken Salad (in a green tortilla wrap). When my name was called, I picked up my order and opened the takeout bag at home. Mom was pleasantly surprised with the grapes and cubed apples in the chicken salad. I thought that it needed more flavor. The salad was good! I liked the crunchy wonton chips and almonds with the Mandarin oranges. It was relatively convenient and quick. I'm happy to support local farmers!

Made a quick stop for lunch during work. This place was fast, fresh and yummy. When I am out and about I will definitely keep this place in mind.

    Small Kamuela Cobb Salad
    Risa L.

Ordered the small Kamuela Cobb salad (mixed greens. avocado. grape tomatoes. egg. bacon. blue cheese. chicken. herb ranch). The greens were nice and crisp. The toppings were neatly placed on top and dressing came in a container. They also add 2 small pieces of complimentary pita bread. Yum, fresh, and fast! Many convenient locations around the island for your salad fix.

I love this place! They serve Fresh healthy - delicious reasonably price sandwiches - salads - açai bowls - wraps! Many fresh items to choose from. I've tried the humus pita. It's delicious, I love the hummus mmm simply one of my favorites. This time I ordered the Roast chicken with pesto on wheat chibatta. Delicious!!!! The Açai bowl mmm need I say more. If you haven't tried Aloha Salad. I recommend you try anything on their menu. You won't regret it.

I haven't been to Aloha Salads in years. My bf wanted to get a salad so we came here. I got a small mandarin ginger which is like a Chinese chicken salad. It comes with mixed greens. mandarin oranges. carrots. cilantro. green onions. wontons. almonds. chicken. and asian ginger dressing. It was good and refreshing. Service was also good too.

    Kamuela Cobb Salad, my favorite!

I love Aloha Salads. The prices have gone up a couple times in the past year as most places have. My favorite is still the large Kamuela Cobb salad which has chicken breast, tomato, avocado, bacon, bleu cheese, boiled egg and lettuce. The dressing is so good, light and not heavy. Comes w two pita breads that goes well w the dressing. The employees here are nice and the employees already remembers my usual order before I even start to order, lol! I haven't seen their gift cards at Costco this year but that was a good deal in 2021.

It's been here for a while. Last time was,,,, 7years ago!(OMG!!) So their menu changed a little bit. (Even except price higher) They have Keiki Menu, Design Your Own Salad Menu, Signature Menu, and I found the Aloha Gyro Wrap poster. (Unfortunately, my favorite Half sandwich & Half salad menu was discontinued.) I took time to make decision but the counter staff said "take your time" and I was very comfortable to think what should I order. I ordered Aloha Gyro Wrap. (For to go) It's very voluminous! It was double wrapped by paper but plenty sauce inside, so prepare to be messy, but taste is good! They open the space for dine in space (counter chairs and tables) but majority of the customers just ordered and took out. (They also take online order tho) When I always passed this place I was worried about this place because not so many people eating inside but I understand many people just to go. Well, next time I'd like to try their salad for choosing healthy!!!!

Always good and tasty. The tomato bisque soup is the best on its own or paired with their delicious grilled cheese. The goddess salad is so refreshing with the avo and papaya.

Salads aren't typically what we go for when eating out, but after days in the hotel, we needed greens. I had always heard great things about Aloha Salads and this is the closest location to us, so decided to try it. It is placed right inside Pearlridge Mall, right near Gen and Uncles Fish Market. Parking can be a little chaotic, but I always find a spot pretty quickly. The customer service was good and quick. We tried two salads; the Satay salad with Chicken and The Paniolo with Steak. Their dressings are great and all of the veggies were very clean and fresh. The meats weren't quite as impressive. The steak wasn't very steak-like, more like a burger patty somehow. Chicken was a bit over cooked, but everything was seasoned well and the salads were overall good.

Açaí bowl for the groomer 7-15-2021
    Gail U.

7-15-21 Was on my way to Hot Topic to pick up an order when I spied from the side of my eye a very colorful poster not once but twice. Hmmm, groomer had just called to say our fur bebe was done. Light bulb!!!'I usually pick up a drink for her from the Coffee place by Don Quiote. Something different, double the price of a beverage but hopefully she will enjoy the açaí bowl with fruit. Had never ordered anything from here so I asked, does it come with a lid? You know, Covid and all plus it needed to be transported a few blocks. The lady helping me was speedy and had it ready in a jiffy. She placed it into a white package. Good! Saw that as soon as I was leaving the groomers I saw her sit down and open the bag. Yay for RAK. She lucked out today with a $20 tip & a cold treat. Maybe another time I'll try something there for me(wink!)

    STRINGY ahi
    Lora C.

Food is hit or miss depending on what you order. Prices sometimes aren't worth it like a $16 salad was not worth it... I had a Seared Ahi salad that came avocado, strawberry, mango, coconut on top of lettuce... i had a sliced quarter (half of half avocado) not even a full half avocado... Strawberries were tiny.... mango seemed to be the previously frozen diced in smaller chunks. Ahi looked like raw beef in a different angle... very stringy... A seared ahi wrap with pita bread and that was delicious.... maybe still not worth $10... Their tomato bisque is usually decent. Most times it has a kick to it. Customer service doesn't exist because it's a quick grab and go spot. Cashier girl isn't friendly. People who work here hate their job and it shows.... I think it is time to stay away... some of my coworkers love this place... But it does make sense that certain food items are good... It's a gamble roulette. Go at your own risk.

Love this soup! It has amazing flavor! However i have to upgrade it to get more soup as small portions are always filled about 70%. :(. Even the big ones aren't very full. Get it with their grilled cheese it's very comforting

When I walked in, it was completely empty. As we started eating the seating area got full and take out orders were non stop. It was just 1 server and 1 cook.... From what I saw.... The timing of the server was a little unconventional but she did a great job handling the dining in customers and the take out customers at the same time. At one point the lady cook (maybe owner?) came out to deliver some dishes. FOOD: I forgot to ask what level heat I wanted but it came out perfect. I had the pork pad kra pao. It had the perfect amount of flavor and heat. My coworker had some seafood dish and she really enjoyed it. Their spring rolls had a nice variety of veggies inside which I really enjoyed. I was graciously greeted by a young lady and I placed my order of Ahi Salad. In about 2 minutes, it was ready! I parked down by Sears to eat, opened up my plate, and was greeted by a lot of fresh greens, sliced strawberries, coconut, diced mango, and a slab of seared and sliced Ahi. Initially I've always ordered online and my husband will pick it up Today we stopped to pick up our lunch after we took our grandson to GameStop. My grandson was thirsty though he wasn't eating anything he wanted a fountain drink. I was shock when I put the cup to put ice. The ice wouldn't come out so I used my hand to push it and yuck it looked like mucus or snot on the lever and inside of the clear part where the ice disbursed. Gross. I continued to put ice and asked the girl behind the counter for some Napkins which I used to wipe in and around the machine ice dispenser. My grandson was wondering what I was doing. I was so grossed out after wiping it i took the cup with yuck ice and we left. The girl who gave me the napkins knew exactly what I was about to do because she laughed and passed me the stack of napkins. Anyways I should've asked for my money back since I didn't let him drink it. We tossed it out side in a rubbish bIn. SO THATS THE 2 stars. Yuckkkk So warning people. Who knew this place existed...not me but thanks to Yelp New Town Cafe is a great place to find local comfort faves right at Newtown Golf Driving Range but with the Sunday's storm that was impossible for anyone to use the area but thankfully the restaurant is a covered area and was literally unfazed by the crazy rain. With that the parking lot was completely empty so it was an easy park and walk up to the building which is facing the driving range that I think is pretty cool so folks that aren't using it can still enjoy viewing with parties that are playing as well. Though I can because I saw that they have "Yaki Udon" a comfort food I grew up with and have yet to find a place that does it right for me so I had to check it out. This cute place is express style where you place your order at a window at the staff gets it all set for you and it takes literally minutes to get it freshly prepared and with the reasonable prices I decided to order their Chicken Cake Noodles...no you won't find it on the menu but apparently I saw it on the chalkboard which is probably a special but for $14.99 I just had to try it. The Yaki udon was pretty good lightly seasoned and not too salty with a scrambled egg and lots of veggies cabbage and onions it comes with chicken beef or shrimp and got the chicken which I'm glad as it was cubed up Teri chicken so that alone had great flavor and at $13.50 it was priced nice as for the chicken cake noodle which had lots of veggies as well with zucchini, broccoli, onions, water chestnuts, carrots and celery all loaded with gravy was yummy but after my drive home the noodles basically absorbed all the sauce so the noodles was mushy which the next time will ask the gravy on the side. Yes there will be a next time for this priced friendly comfort food in the heart of Pearl City. Thank you!

The area was tidy, but the tables were not clean to the touch. It was kind of gross. After ordering, I received a hand written number on a reused piece of paper. My order took over 20 minutes, which seemed a bit long for the type of food being served. I noticed there were a lot of people picking up food, as it was dinner time. It would have been nice to be told the wait is a little long right now, but that wasn't the reason for my poor review. The pork chops (mini) is 4 pc, with one scoop of rice and mac salad. The taste was average, it was served hot. The chicken cake noodle was a disaster. It was so bad, I threw it away. There was no taste, and the noodles were soggy because a gel of flavorless mucus was soaking the noodles. The chicken didn't taste like it was even seasoned with the basic salt and pepper. The vegetables were cooked perfectly, but their taste was ruined by the gross flavorless "gravy." The food looked great, but I was only able to eat the pork chop plate. I don't like to waste food, but I also won't force myself to eat terrible food... and the chicken cake noodle was terrible.
