I hadn't found a 'go to' spot for delicious salads on the island...until yesterday! On a casual meander to Kaneohe, I called my sister (on the mainland) to find a salad spot. She came back with Aloha Salads in the Windward Mall and read some of their specialities. The description of the Aloha Passion salad got my attention! Located on the mall level near the central escalator, this eatery is grab and go. You have a choice of creating your own salad (menu listing to the right at the counter), or choosing one of their yummy creations. In our case, the Aloha Passion (w/ steak) and the Ono Island Ahi had the nicest blends of greens/fruit/protein today! You place the order and wait nearby to hear your name called out. Limited seating is available in the walkway...you can people watch while chowing down. The salads were delectable - they're served with a couple of thin slices of pita bread. Both had a unique island touch due to the added fruit (mango, grapes) that added a touch of sweetness along with their Passion Orange Vinaigrette dressing. It was enjoyable...and lo and behold there are other locations on the island! read more

Quick and delicious! Ahi was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Service was great. Went at 630pm Saturday, Valentine's Day and it was not busy at all. Topped it off with Da Island Dragon smoothie from Down to Earth. read more

This place is located in Pearlridge Shopping Mall Downtown. I've been here before just to order their Ono Ahi Salad for my husband but never ordered anything for me. My son told me he likes their wrap so decided to try one. I looked over their menu and saw a poster of their Aloha Gyro Wrap that included grilled Mediterranean seasoned lamb and beef, grilled red onions, feta cheese, fresh dill topped with mixed greens and their famous goddess dressing served on pita bread...yum! I asked the workers if they tried it...said they thought it was good so I ordered it and I'm glad I did! It was soooooo tasty with a lot of meat and fresh mixed greens. Many of us avoid salad and eat the real good stuff but their are times where I know I need to eat good because I feel terrible. I appreciate the employees for serving FRESH food, especially their salad. Many places, like subway for example, you could tell its not fresh. The Aloha Passion salad is so bomb, not only its fresh, the other ingredients they combine together so good!! It doesnt make sense to me when I look at it but when you eat it, OMG!! And its affordable!! You go to pandas, $20, can't finish all or you can't do anything after your done eating! Atleast if you eat at Aloha Salads, you can still go holo holo in the mall. Takeout lunch from Aiea, Oahu, Hawaii... I was at Pearlridge Mall and decided to bring home a healthy lunch to share with my mom. The Yelp app brought me to Aloha Salads. I was familiar with Aloha Salads because I had patronized their Kahala Mall location. Finding Aloha Salads at Pearlridge is a bit challenging... I had to ask. It's above Longs Drugs and down the hall with Guava Smoked and Sugah Daddeh's Kane Juice. I ordered a Mandarin Ginger Salad and - because I saw a picture of it - a Tutu's Chicken Salad (in a green tortilla wrap). When my name was called, I picked up my order and opened the takeout bag at home. Mom was pleasantly surprised with the grapes and cubed apples in the chicken salad. I thought that it needed more flavor. The salad was good! I liked the crunchy wonton chips and almonds with the Mandarin oranges. It was relatively convenient and quick. I love Aloha Salads. The prices have gone up a couple times in the past year as most places have. My favorite is still the large Kamuela Cobb salad which has chicken breast, tomato, avocado, bacon, bleu cheese, boiled egg and lettuce. The dressing is so good, light and not heavy. It's been here for a while. Last time was,,,, 7years ago!(OMG!!) So their menu changed a little bit. (Even except price higher) They have Keiki Menu, Design Your Own Salad Menu, Signature Menu, and I found the Aloha Gyro Wrap poster. I took time to make decision but the counter staff said "take your time" and I was very comfortable to think what should I order. I ordered Aloha Gyro Wrap. (For to go) It's very voluminous! It was double wrapped by paper but plenty sauce inside, so prepare to be messy, but taste is good! They open the space for dine in space (counter chairs and tables) but majority of the customers just ordered and took out. I don't choose to eat "healthy" very often but my friends do. So I have been to this franchise before. But do I order salad? I do not. I generally opt for a sandwich. The Aloha Salad in Kapolei use to have pastrami and I ordered that. Today I was better had turkey. There is a choice of breads and while I was leaning towards white I was guilted into pita (at least it wasn't brown bread). It was dressed with mayo, lettuce and a bit of tomato. Salads aren't typically what we go for when eating out, but after days in the hotel, we needed greens. I had always heard great things about Aloha Salads and this is the closest location to us, so decided to try it. It is placed right inside Pearlridge Mall, right near Gen and Uncles Fish Market. Parking can be a little chaotic, but I always find a spot pretty quickly. The customer service was good and quick. We tried two salads; the Satay salad with Chicken and The Paniolo with Steak. Their dressings are great and all of the veggies were very clean and fresh. The meats weren't quite as impressive. The steak wasn't very steak-like, more like a burger patty somehow. 7-15-21 Was on my way to Hot Topic to pick up an order when I spied from the side of my eye a very colorful poster not once but twice. Hmmm, groomer had just called to say our fur bebe was done. Light bulb!!!'I usually pick up a drink for her from the Coffee place by Don Quiote. Something different, double the price of a beverage but hopefully she will enjoy the açaí bowl with fruit. Food is hit or miss depending on what you order. Prices sometimes aren't worth it like a $16 salad was not worth it... I had a Seared Ahi salad that came avocado, strawberry, mango, coconut on top of lettuce... i had a sliced quarter (half of half avocado) not even a full half avocado... Strawberries were tiny.... mango seemed to be the previously frozen diced in smaller chunks. Ahi looked like raw beef in a different angle... very stringy... A seared ahi wrap with pita bread and that was delicious.... maybe still not worth $10... Their tomato bisque is usually decent. Most times it has a kick to it. Customer service doesn't exist because it's a quick grab and go spot. Cashier girl isn't friendly. People who work here hate their job and it shows.... I was really craving a refreshing salad after walking around the mall for a few hours. Aloha Salads, the Aiea location, is located in the Pearlridge Mall (downtown side). It's a relatively small place where very few seating, and even so, the seating is bar stool type (high chairs) so it may not be friendly for kids or elderly. I usually take my salads to go anyway! I ordered the small satay salad with chicken. In total, I paid a little over $12 (tax included). The salad was pretty filling and came with many toppings. The salad has Asian flavors tied with it, especially with the inclusion of basil, cilantro, and the spicy Thai dressing (personally I love cilantro, and basil so that's why I got it). Honestly, the dressing was not spicy at all, so don't let that alarm you if you're sensitive to spice. If you also don't like chicken, you can always have it without OR they even have shrimp. I also should note that in addition to the salad, two pieces of pita bread were included. Overall, good place to get salad, wraps, subs, and bowls especially if you're looking for a lighter meal to eat :) read more

Aloha salads are probably a franchise so each location do things differently as far as using containers and preparing their food to setting up their food. Did I make sense? Well I think you need to visit each location. 1. Customer service. They lack the friendliness and service. You can just stand there waiting to order without any kind of acknowledgment. 2. The food at this location - a little skimpy for what you pay. 13.00 for a large salad. I think I can skip and I'll just make my own. Thank you. The chicken from the Asian salad was good though. Always go to this location but the nice lady who was ringing me up was over shadowed by the rudeness and disrespect from her co-worker. I order the SAME thing everytime I come. I've literally NEVER ordered anything but this one item. She kept talking over me saying "we've never had that, we've never had that, we've never had that. Not even letting me explain what it was or complete my thought. They ended up making it anyway after they kept demanding I make a different choice based on the menu and still made that wrong. I even waited until after we were done, and there were no other customers there to bring it to her attention that I felt disrespected, and she still proceeded to talk over me and justify her actions instead of apologizing or trying to make it right. I didn't yell, I didn't raise my voice, I didn't use any profane language even thought I wanted to. I tried to empathize with her and even level with her and take some of the blame, even though I was not at fault. This just made me never want to go back. She also proceeded to say that she has been there for over 10 years so she clearly knows best. So I guess in this case, even though I have proof with receipts for my prior visits, this customer is wrong. Me! My parents were here to visit and I was raving about this place. I was so excited to take them to try it for this to be their experience and memory. I guess this is the last time I'll go or take anyone else for that matter. read more

I am so sad because I am a frequent flyer at this restaurant. I love Aloha Salads. I always get the same thing. Small mandarin ginger chicken salad. $11.50 and their delicious tomato bisque soup. I have been to many restaurants but this one is most convenient for me. I once ordered 4 of these because my family also loves it. But when I got home the salad box was so empty. Not much salad at all! I was pretty upset. I called and they let me have another at a later date. So I was good. Maybe it was a one time deal. But today I picked up a salad and again found the box barely filled half way with salad. The chicken portion was really small too. One order of this used to be enough for me but not anymore. I can't understand why they are so tight with the lettuce leaves. I didn't say anything this time, I was in a rush and not feeling well. I liked the Acai Bowl until they started freezing the Acai. The manager argued with that it's the way it comes. I told him it never was that way before and all the other places that have Acai do not have rock solid Acai Bowls. Manager said he could put it in microwave but may melt it. For my first visit I am very very disappointed in the service and the amount of steak they gave me compared to the other pictures I saw on here. I ordered the ono island ahi but substituted it with the steak. Not only they gave a little bit of steak (4 small pieces) but my steak was burnt. Customer service was bad. I could tell they both didn't want to be there because when people was coming in they gave those sigh like "not more orders". Maybe they just had a bad day today or was bombarded with orders. On Monday nights my husband and I usually order takeout. It's a way to help us look forward to Monday instead of dreading it. This past Monday we went for a hot afternoon jog and then post workout, decided to pick up Aloha Salad for dinner. The Pearlridge location is in the former "Downtown" side, by Uncle's and where Agu Ramen used to be. There's not much seating but we didn't mind since we were taking our salads to go. We ordered the Paniolo and Sweet Home Waimanalo Kale salads. My husband liked the Paniolo but said he preferred the Maui Mozzarella one that he normally gets. The kale salad was actually pretty good. The lemon soy vinaigrette was delicious, and the whole salad tasted like I was doing something good for my body. I do wish more salad places were readily available on island, but Aloha Salads generally fits the bill for when the mood for healthier eating strikes. read more

I thought this place only served expensive salads, but one of my coworkers recently asked to order from here for her birthday, so I obliged to look at the menu. I ordered the aloha pineapple wrap and now I can't stop thinking about it. It's made of grilled chicken, veggies, Mayo and of course grilled pineapple in a pita wrap. There is a website you can order from and pay for in advance. My order is usually ready by the time I get there and it's so good. My boyfriend usually orders the Cobb salad and it always looks great. Tomato Bisque never disappoints at Aloha salads! It has cheesy goodness and has a little spice to it. Perfect for the rainy days we've been having. I tried the steak wrap for the first time and wasn't really a fan. The steak was pretty tough and fatty. Not easy to go down. The dressing was good in it though. I recently tried their wrap with hummus in it, and I liked that a little better. Overall, aloha salads is pretty pricey for what you get, but its in such convenient locations! I know this place has salads in its name, but I come here for their soups and sandwiches. The tomato bisque soup here is one of my favorites. Great balance of oil and cream. Nice little kick to it too. And I would def recommend getting it with the cheese. I like getting the grilled cheese combo with the soup. Nice blend of cheeses and a great cheese pull. They are not skimpy with the cheese here and as a cheese lover, I appreciate it. I prefer pre-COVID visits here. My most recent order was a takeout order I made online. I got my order faster than they quoted and I ate in my car so my food wouldn't be cold. But the soup was already at room temperature. The salad was alright as well.
