I've been here twice now, actually three times now that I think about it. The first time I came I was in the mood for something savory and they only had the sweets on the menu because it was opening day and they were trying to keep things simple. So I went back a week later and tried the Kalua Pork plate with nachos. It was delicious. It's been so long since I've had the opportunity to eat Hawaiian food! I've eaten it in San Diego, Arizona and Austin but there never was any in Amarillo until now. I came back today and just had to try the musubi. I'm not even that crazy about spam but it was so good! Rice and spam and seasonings inside nori. Yum! I made sure that I got here before 10:30 so I could try the breakfast but I was so full from one musubi I was only able to eat about half the breakfast. I'll save the rest till tomorrow. Breakfast is $5.75 for a full container of rice, scrambled eggs, Kahlua pork, optional green onions and sauce. That will be my breakfast tomorrow unless I get hungry and eat it tonight. The musubi was so good I bought two to take home along with two Kahlua pork sliders and that will be dinner tonight or lunch tomorrow. My total bill was about $20 with tax and tip and should make about three meals for me. The ladies who run this place are a mother and daughter team, as nice as can be! They are super friendly to everyone who walks in and customers are greeted with an Aloha. You'll hear them say Mahalo a lot also. They are very attentive and appreciative to their customers. Everything is neat and super clean. They are located inside the Collective from 6th building along I-40 on the north side. It was only about a 10 minute drive or so for me from 40 and Coulter. Their hours as of this writing are 6:00 a.m. to 6 pm Thursday Friday and Saturday. 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday when they have a brunch menu and serve breakfast foods all day. One of their specialties is waffles. I don't eat waffles real often so I haven't tried them yet but I will eventually. They have a different flavor every day. They also have different specials everyday. I'm including a picture of the specials board but not all foods are available everyday. They have a Facebook page that I think will list what the specials are for each day or you could call them. I heard people raving about the waffles both times I was sitting and eating. If the parking lot should look full you can pull around to the right side of the building as you approach it and there's the door on that side that leads directly into their place. I parked there today and it was a much shorter walk but I got here early so the parking lot might fill up later. I highly recommend this place! Auntie Lisa's Hawaiian Aloha Kitchen is a must if you live or are ever near Canyon/Amarillo, TX...really anywhere! The moon's over my spammy, if I remember the name correctly, is super bomb! It's a fried Spam Egg & Cheese Sandwich with Hawaiian donut bread...sounds wild but it was out of this world. Definitely different but I did not regret trying it. I know spam isn't everyone's favorite (my wife usually avoids it), but we both now swear by this sandwich. It's a must-try!!! We also had the steak fingers, katsu style, with rice and Mac salad, made with the all-natural Rancher's meat from the storefront. You can taste the quality in every bite. To top it all off, Auntie surprised us with refreshing orange and mango shaved ice... the perfect treat on a hot day. We sat in the shade with our pup, soaking in the beautiful Canyon weather, enjoying some great conversation from Auntie Lisa (who is an amazing person), learning a little about the "Big Island", and of course savoring some of that incredible authentic Hawaiian food. Holy balls, never would I have imagined the pure bliss that Hawaiian cuisine had to offer. I have never worked so hard to find a restaurant, but good golly was it worth it! We met the nicest woman in the world that worked at this simple, yet otherworldly establishment, as her Loco Moco dish knocked my knee-high socks off. She capped off our experience with a complementary dessert as well, and I will most definitely be investing in a lei within the days to come! read more

I WISH we lived in Texas solely because of this restaurant and space. It was a complete chance that we stopped here with our family on a cross country road trip. We had gotten tired of fast food so stopped here for some amazing amazing food. The owner is a native Hawaiian and had given us so much hospitality while we were there. It was an amazing space for my husband and two kids to stop for respite on our way across the country. The food was phenomenal. Spam masubi of course was on point. We had a chicken katsu dish that was so tasty and a pork and rice dish. My favorite and strangest dish was a homage donut with spam and egg. My mouth is watering now and I'm having flashbacks of my first bite of that. A very sweet woman from the big island owns this place and she's passionate about sharing authentic Hawaiian flavors in Texas! She has daily specials and also a lot of other Hawaiian brands (sodas, taffy, etc.). We really enjoyed the burger and pulled pork, and how kind and generous the owner and her mother were. If you are within 50 miles of Aloha Kitchen and you do not stop here to eat, it's only because you hate yourself and/or the people you are with. My Grandpa and I stopped here along our Route 66 journey and it is BY FAR the best restaurant we ate at. The food is top notch and authentic and the owner is an absolute joy to be around. The atmosphere of the restaurant is so cool and unique to Hawaii. It is an absolute must! read more

Great Hawaiian food out in Bushland. My favorite item to get is the Moons of Spammy. It's a hot malasada cut in half with spam eggs and cheese. As we say in Hawai'i, so ono. What a surprise! The food was excellent and interesting. We enjoyed talking to the owner/chef about Hawaii, the history of the restaurant, and her food. It is a small, slightly out of the way place that should be full of customers. But we were the only ones there. Do yourself a favor and check it out. We were driving from Oklahoma to New Mexico and wanted to eat. This place came up on our Yelp search - local grinds in Texas - how could we not try it! I'm originally from Hawaii and both my husband and I love local food. We weren't sure what to expect but this place had really good food. My kalua pork was moist, tender, flavorful (and not too oily). My husband's loco moco was very tasty, the gravy exceptional. Definitely some of the best local food we've had. In addition Auntie Lisa is friendly, helpful and passionate about her food. We had so much fun talking story. Her country store carries unique items from Hawaii. A hidden gem in west Texas. Aunty Lisa served us authentic chicken katsu, Kalua pork, and spam musubi. I had never tried Hawaiian food before but Aunty Lisa was extremely helpful and kind.
