Lumpia Shanghai
Neal L.

My family and I visited Vegas for the weekend and we were craving Hawaiian food. The place was recommended to me so decided to check it out. Plenty of parking and easy to get to. Not too far from the Vegas strip, about 10 mins. Right when you walk in, you'll see the menu displayed and its order first then sit type of restaurant. Prices were decent. There was plenty of seating with only one group besides mine. The food came out fairly quickly and served really hot, especially the lumpia. I ordered the kalbi short ribs. Comes with two scoops of rice and your choice of kimchi or mac salad. I went with the mac salad and it was ok. To be honest, L&L's was better. The short ribs weren't bad. They weren't very meaty and flavor was good. Large chain Hawaiian food was better actually. We also had the chicken curry and katsu combo. Comes with the two side choices as well. Not too bad. Flavor was there, but I've head better. The lumpia came out piping hot. It was good, but nothing beats my mom's lumpia haha. All in all, it's not bad if you're hungry and looking for Hawaiian food not too far from the strip. Service was friendly and the place was clean. I'll most likely explore other Hawaiian restaurants when I come back but try it out! Cheers!

Kalbi Ribs

Hello Yelpers, My wife was craving the kalbi ribs at Aloha Kitchen, so after stopping across the street at the new "H" Mart, we decided to give it a try. It had been over 10 years since our last visit. The dining area has changed a bit, and there's now plexiglass where you place your order--likely something left over from the COVID era. We shared the Kalbi plate, which comes with two scoops of rice and a scoop of mac salad. The portions of rice seemed a bit smaller than we remembered. Starting with the mac salad--it was disappointing. It had very little flavor and a slightly sour aftertaste, so we both chose not to eat it. As for the Kalbi, my wife really enjoyed it and said it tasted just like she remember. It was a no for me, sorry. For Kalbi, there's other places around town that'll put a smile on your face, albeit for a few more bucks. It's been over a decade since I last had it here, and it didn't quite match what I remembered. We also ordered a drink, bringing our total to just over $27. There were plenty of other customers who seemed to be enjoying their meals. No worries for parking, service is friendly and the facilities are clean.

It tastes good and I would eat it again. Nothing special just solid food . Friendly folks.

My first impression after trying the food- Meh. The restaurant smells amazing smells like well seasoned food is being prepared and honestly it's a mouth watering experience. However, when the food arrived it was a lackluster experience. Good was very bland no flavor and honestly nothing to write home about. Maybe it was an off day? Not sure. But I was surely not impressed. Service is welcoming friendly and helpful.

Always a hit for me! Great spot for a late night dinner. Also when I walked in the restaurant there was about maybe 2 customers eating. After we had ordered our food; a crowd of people came in to order maybe like 3 families. sooooo just because you walk in and think nobody is there or its slow.. Give it some time you prob just hit the right spot before a crowd comes in!

Adobo Fried Rice Omelette! Holy cats, this is the ULTIMATE comfort food for meeeee!

Was introduced to Aloha Kitchen from a friend of mine on a recent visit to Vegas, and I gotta say this place ROCKS! The location I went to is in Sahara Decatur Plaza, one of the gazillion neo-strip malls in Vegas. The interior is self-explanatory: Just make your order at the counter as you walk in the front door, then grab a seat in one of the booths to the left. My buddy turned me on to the Adobo Fried Rice Omelette. WOW! I'm going to order this every single time I visit! This is one of the most filling, most satisfying meals I've ever eaten. There's definitely enough to take home, or just share with friends at the restaurant. There's also a bar through the doors inside to the far left of the counter as you walk in (you can also enter the bar from the outside). I didn't go in there, but it sounds like they have regular karaoke going on and everyone in there sounds like they're having big fun! Gonna have to try it next time. ;-) Aloha Kitchen is now a staple for me on any future visits to Vegas. I HAVE to get my fill of Adobo Fried Rice Omelettes!

Second time to Aloha Kitchen on Decatur. Still great and friendly service. You order at the window with the large menu above. Prices are reasonable. Service is quick. There's a few booths along the window and free standing tables that they can quickly rearrange for larger groups. Their bar is right next door. Plenty of parking.

Spicy Chicken Teriyaki Bowl w/Mixed Veggies - sauce had a weird taste to it and head cabbage was not worth the additional $3.99

After watching a video on YouTube of a guy raving about the food here. We decided to give this place another try. When we first moved to Vegas from Hawaii, this was the first local spot that my cousin brought us to. We weren't impressed back then (despite trying here a few times over the years) and things haven't changed. It's just not our taste in food. However we did have the saimin once and we all liked it. Service was great. Parking was plentiful.

Never had a bad meal here. Love the portions and love the musubis! Usually pretty clean and quiet in there and people working are nice.

This place is legit the best Hawaiian food I've ever eaten. Staff is super friendly they have traditional Hawaiian music playing in the background and there's a karaoke bar connected to it.

We wanted some comfort food after Meeples. Went around 1030pm. The girl at the counter was super friendly. Informed us the fried chicken will take about 20mins, thanks for heads up! I got the aloha mixed plate. Prices were reasonable, especially for the portions. I wished all places have some sort of mixed plate option. We checked out the karaoke room/bar. It was dead, probably because it was a Wednesday night. Got my aloha plate after 15 mins. Everything was good, I'm a side of sauce person, so next time I'll get it on the side. The fried chicken came 10 mins afterwards, there 3 huge thigh pieces! The texture reminded me of Popeyes, but not quite the flavor. Still good though. They also have simple plate deals after 10pm for $6! Overall, would I come here again? Perhaps if I'm in the area again.

It was a perfect spot for late night eats before heading back to LA on Sunday. Got here around 12:30am, friendly staff, chill atmosphere, and food came out quick. I ordered the local plate that comes with teriyaki, chicken, beef, and musubi with rice and macaroni salad. My brother and his friend got the chicken katsu with rice and macaroni salad and pork adobo. Delicious Hawaiian food, huge portions, and reasonable price. I'll definitely be back when I'm in Vegas.

Dining area is small but there's adequate seating for a table, by the window, and along the wall. Menu offers a great selection of chicken, shrimp, steaks, salmon, ahi, pork, as well as Hawaiian plates, island favorites, fried noodles, and poke. I ordered my go-to for Dynamite Chicken Katsu (mini, $13.52), its crispy breaded chicken, meat is tender and moist, has amazing wasabi aioli and spicy sauce drizzle, very savory and wonderfully delicious! Served with tasty crab potato salad and kimchi. Also had Fried Noodles (mini, $7.28), the egg noodles are delicious, topped with chopped scallions and kamaboko (Japanese fish cake), it's really good! Spam Musubi ($4.16) is tasty! It does need sauce and there are condiments like soy sauce and hot sauce available on the table. For a lovely treat, they make the best Japanese Milk Pudding, it's delightful and not too sweet! I ordered a regular ($5.20) and tried Ube flavor ($5.20), both are yummy! Ube flavor is so good! The milk pudding has a delicate, silky, bouncy texture, and comes with a sweet Japanese syrup. The milk pudding on its own is so YUM! The syrup itself is very sweet, so only pour a little bit. They also have fun cookies on display locally sourced from The Cookie Bar. I tried Crème Brûlée Cookie ($4.50), it's a huge sugar cookie with a beautiful crisp glaze and is very sweet. MacDaddy Cookie ($4.50) is excellent, it has white chocolate chips and macadamia nuts, this one taste great! Service from Koltyn and Zadus is very kind, welcoming, polite, and friendly!

Heard good things about this place and wanted to try lots of things so we got two combo plates. First combo was the garlic chicken with shoyu poke. Being from Hawaii this was as close to home as you can get on the mainland. The chicken was nice and crispy on the outside while soft on the inside. The poke was spot on as if it was flown in from Hawaii. Second combo was the ahi katsu and meat jun. Katsu wasn't too crispy since there was a lot of sauce but the flavor was pretty good and ahi was cooked well. The meat jun was soft and seasoned well too. Overall, great to have this place when you want local Hawaii style foods as someone who is from Hawaii. Good variety and everything on the menu was pretty good and very filling. Definitely felt the kanak attack after we finished eating!

Things were still getting together but I have faith they will get back to their normal flow. Food was tasty as always. Had the beef ribs and the kalua pig today. The Kalua pig was a very tasty version. One of the better ones I've had in town for my taste. Not too smoky, felt like it was roasted for a long time. The meat was still intact but tender. Ribs were as they always are. The only thing today, was that the boxes didn't feel as full as they normally do. Only got 4 ribs today and they weren't all that meaty. The pig dish wasn't full to the brim either. Also, prices have gone up from the menu, so seeing higher prices (totally understandable) and less food was a little disappointing. Service was friendly for the most part, but be ready for longer waits. Maybe it was because of the move, but it was a 15-20 min wait today. The ribs are still the best in town, I'm hoping the small portion was just a one off.

His cousin couldn't stop raving about the food, so we decided to check it out for dinner last night. We ordered the Crackhead Chicken and Da "OG" Beef to share, and I also got a Spam musubi I had been craving. The musubi was HUGE and really hit the spot. We also ordered a side of Crackhead Chicken without the spice for our 1 year old, and she LOVED it. Normally she throws her food, but this time she actually ate it and kept making the cutest "yummy" faces the whole time. The moment I took my first bite of chicken, my reaction said it all. The flavor was INCREDIBLE! It had a perfect balance of sweetness from the coconut and a nice kick from the spices. Everything worked so well together, and the chicken itself was unbelievably moist and juicy. I also loved that the meat was served over the rice, allowing for all the juices to soak in. The rice was soft, flavorful, and just as satisfying. The macaroni salad was hands down my favorite compared to any Hawaiian BBQ spot I've tried. I also had a few bites of the beef, which had an amazing flavor and just the right amount of char to elevate it even more. The only thing that didn't stand out to me was the coleslaw, but we found out later that you can substitute for extra macaroni salad for an additional 50 cents. We will definitely do that next time! Overall, we had a fantastic experience and will absolutely be back whenever we are in the area. One quick note for parents: there are no high chairs available, and we even searched the entire food court. Since it's inside a casino, it's understandable, but just something to keep in mind.
