I checked out this spot while I was out in Vegas a few days ago. I got the hamburger steak and it was pretty heavy. The place was decently busy in the afternoon. The service was definitely meh and I was hoping the restaurant would be better reading the reviews. Its also in an office plaza and kind of hard to find.
Definitely one of the top spots for Hawaiian food in Las Vegas. If you're craving Hawaiian food, you should stop here. Generations Kitchen was on my Yelp collection list for a long time, and finally, my family had a chance to stop by for lunch! This restaurant is located in the Spring Valley area. It's a casual spot with authentic island style food! The menu offers a wide range of plate lunch favorites. Some of the dishes include the following -Garlic Chicken -Loco Moco -Chicken Katsu -BBQ Chicken and so much more! Generations Kitchen also offers fresh poke, ahi katsu, and other seafood options! You can get some favorites, like Spam Masubi, to snack on later in the day! We ended getting the following from Generation's Kitchen -Loco Moco with scrambled egg on top and rice -Furikake Chicken plate (Rice and Mac Salad) The food was delicious! The Loco Moco patty was scrumptious, tender and super flavorful! There was so much gravy on it too! My husband enjoyed the Furikake Chicken plate. The chicken was perfectly fried and so yummy! I had a few bites! The portions are large and the food is so good here! The team members are friendly and helpful! I highly recommend stopping by here if you're looking for some amazing Hawaiian Food! A hidden treasure with amazing food!
This gem is a little hard to find since it sits within a business complex, so keep a look-out for the sign! It's definitely worth a little searching and a stop if you're looking for a good meal. It's spacious with open seating. You order at the counter and grab a seat while you wait for your order to be called for pick-up. The staff is incredibly welcoming and kind. Everything on the menu honestly sounded so good that it was hard to pick. The portions are pretty generous, so come hungry or ready to share with friends! I was lucky enough to have been with a big group, so I was able to try a little bit of several items. Some items worth mentioning: 1. Poke nachos - DELICIOUS. You get to pick which poke you want to top the wonton chips. They also let you sample the poke first, so be prepared when you get to the register and make your decision promptly to not hold up the line. 2. Hurricane chicken - literally so much flavor.
I stopped here for breakfast and got the Portuguese sausage with eggs and rice. The portion size was great and the price as well! I definitely want to come back and try their other things. My food came out fast and hot. This place is in an industrial area so it's a bit harder to spot, but definitely worth it to check out. The staff were nice as well.

I enjoy coming here for local food. I noticed they changed their menu a little and its nice. I really like the girl working in the front because she's always welcoming and provides great service. Definitely gives off Aloha Vibes its always clean in there and spacious. I dont have to worry about saving a table. Try the garlic chicken and the furikake chicken.
Anytime I want of taste of home this is my favorite place to come!! From their poke nachos to their hurricane chicken this place never leaves me disappointed!! My top three go-tos have to be the hurricane chicken if I want something saucy with a crunch. Next would be their loco moco if I want comfort food. Last line of defense that's never failed me, their meat jun especially with their sauce!! Their food is always packed with flavor and most time their portions can feed me twice!! I can't count the amount of times I've come with family to dine in or to place a take out order to go. This place is always on it and service is efficient. It can get pretty busy depending on what time you're coming in but I've never found the wait time to be too crazy. There is also a solid amount of seating so whether you're here for a quick lunch break or having a meal with friends/family they've got the space. My heart hurts knowing that they'll be heading back home at some point (they haven't released an official date yet) but til then I'll do my best to support and get my fill of all the onolicious food this place as to offer while I still can!!
If you're craving authentic Hawaiian food, this place seriously delivers The garlic chicken is hands down our favorite--crispy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned every single time. It's the kind of dish you keep thinking about long after you leave. What really makes it special though is the atmosphere. The Hawaiian music playing in the background instantly gives you that laid-back island vibe, like you've been transported back home to Hawaii. It's warm, comforting, and just feels right. Read a story about Generations Kitchen being a go to place for some top chefs in Vegas, so I knew I needed to try it the next time I was there. It's off the strip on the corner of a business complex and sort of easy to miss if you aren't mapping using an online map app. Arrived around 1:30 pm in the afternoon on a weekday, and there were about 4 tables filled. The decor was streamlined, with a menu above the ordering area. They offer several classic lunch plate options, and we opted to try the furikake chicken, garlic chicken, and loco moco. The large portion of furikake chicken was nicely fried and well seasoned, sitting on a bed of white rice, with another scoop of white rice topped with furikake seasoning and a side of mac salad. The garlic chicken also had an excellent garlic flavor and crunch. The mac salad was creamy but was not as seasoned for our palate compared with other places. The loco moco had beautifully cooked over easy eggs and the beef patty was tender but a little overcooked and could have used more seasoning. A large volume of brown gravy covered the patty and rice which was great, but the gravy didn't taste homemade. We were disappointed that there was no poke or spam musubi available as they ran out early that day. Good selection of Hawaiian Sun sodas and various bottled drinks, but a bit of a bummer that they didn't have free ice water. Overall, despite a few misses, I would definitely come back to try other menu options and hopefully get there to try their poke and spam musubi as well.
What a great find! I lucked into this place after finding a geocache nearby. Nice, clean little restaurant tucked away in an industrial area. The service was friendly, the food came quickly and the Spam fried rice was exactly what I needed! Highly recommend and would love to come back on my next visit to Vegas.
Feeling all the island vibes. Not gonna lie...was super confused where I was rolling up to since it's mostly an industrial area. Walking in I was pleasantly surprised. It was very spacious and clean. We were greeted immediately upon entry. Ordered up a couple breakfast plates and they were made fresh to order! Had Portuguese sausage with spam and another with corned beef hash. Eggs were cooked perfectly over easy and loved how all the meets were grilled hard with a little char crust on them. I loved how the corned beef had a crisp crust on them and were perfectly circular...for some reason they reminded me of meat coins and that brought a smile to my face. Lots of lunch plate varieties and poke also available. Will definitely have to try those next time. read more
Atmosphere - Clean, lots of indoor seating Taste - We ordered Meat Jun, Garlic Chicken, Cheeseburger combo (French fries and drink), Fried Noodles with Kamaboko and Char Siu, and Spicy Ahi Poke. Everything tasted authentic. We've gone to a bunch of other Hawaiian restaurants and this is t he BEST! Customer Service - Excellent. Very helpful, friendly and personable. They made us feel valued and welcome. Price - Average This will be our GO TO when we're bidding Vegas. read more

Great value and good food. We enjoyed all our dishes and appreciated the ease of ordering at the counter. This was a great, casual spot. Between hubs, my baby bear (now more like a hungry-teenager-bear), and I, we had: Poke Bowl: fresh pieces of tuna with a light -not overpowering - seasoning. Good portion or rice to tuna (granted one would never complain if there was more tuna ;-) ). Hurricane Chicken: tasty, juicy chicken with a nice light breading. I think I would have enjoyed the furikake chicken more but that's just cause I'm a simple gal at heart. There was a bit too much going on for me. Gen Pak: hubs is a value kind of guy (aka he's cheap lol) so he loved how much he got. All the proteins were tasty. Overall we left feeling "just right" - not stuffed but definitely satisfied. We make the trek out to Vegas a lot and always skip all the touristy, chains. This is coming into regular rotation for us. read more

I loved: Garlic Chicken I do not recommend: Poke Bowl The garlic chicken is crispy, tender, and packed with flavor. Definitely #goodeats and easily something I'd come back for. The rice and mac salad that come with it are just okay. Pretty plain, nothing memorable, but they do the job as sides. Tried the poke bowl too, and honestly, it was a letdown. The poke itself was a bit too salty, and the bowl was basically just a mountain of rice with fish on top. No extra toppings, sides, or variety that I usually expect from a good poke bowl. It felt really one-dimensional. I highly recommend sticking to the garlic chicken. It is worth the trip alone. Will definitely skip the poke next time. The inside is pretty unassuming and the service is standard. read more

Incredible service and Hawaiian food. We were in Vegas for 5 days and decided to check out Generation Kitchen as it was close to our condo We asked for suggestions and boy was she spot on. We got the garlic chicken and it was incredible. The chicken was so tender and beautifully breaded and seasoned with garlic bits. It was delicious! We enjoyed it so much that I had to try another item. I ordered the homemade hamburger steak with gravy and onions. Both were so good! Generation Kitchen closes early (6PM I think) and are not open on Sunday. We had late games midtown and were not able to get back in time so unfortunately had to trytwo other so called Hawaiian restaurants and were so disappointed. GK set the bar so high that those restaurants did could not even compare. If you are reading this, go check them out as you will we pleasantly surprised I can wait to visit Vegas again & GK will be my first stop once I exit the airport. read more

Food (5/5): I got the hurricane chicken plate and the portion size was HUGE! There was so much flavor with the sauces and toppings, and the chicken was fresh and crispy. Mac salad was a bit plain, but easily solved with a bit of salt or the hurricane sauce. Service (5/5): it took a few minutes to get our food, especially since we did dine in, but we could tell that it was made to order, and it was def worth waiting for. Ambiance (5/5): it was hard to tell it was a Hawaiian restaurant considering the lack of decor, but there was a ton of seating, even when we went around noon, and plenty of parking too. Overall (5/5): this has been my favorite Hawaiian spot I've found so far in Las Vegas and I'm definitely coming back to try some of the other plates! read more

Another very solid and delicious Hawaiian place in Las Vegas! I appreciate that when I called beforehand to make an order, they shared what days they are open during Christmas/New Years which makes it easy to know whether or not your call will go through or not. The restaurant is in a business center area which is interesting. We ordered this for 4 people and we still had a lot of food leftover. - Loco Moco - I haven't had a loco moco in so long so this was a treat to have. I really like the curry they had all over it, but I'm not so sure if I was a big fan of the patty. I will give it to them that they took out the greasiness of the patty, but I wish there were some vinegar flavor in there as it still felt a bit meaty. - Garlic Chicken - We tried one other Hawaiian place's chicken in Las Vegas and I think they do garlic chicken better here. The chicken was incredibly tender and it was fried to perfection, not overly oily. - Hurricane Chicken - I think this is my favorite one out of the three entrees. I really loved the sauce on the chicken which went very well with the rice that was already marinated with soy sauce. Overall, absolutely fantastic place to eat and not too far from the Strip either if you Uber. read more

Sterling from a local businesses Straight Up Cafe took me here as he likes to support other Local businesses. Although i had tasted food from Generations Kitchen at Aunty D's celebration of life i have never been to the restaurant before. Generations is located in a industrial type park with lots of parking. Upon entering the lady at counter greeted us with "aloha" and promptly took our order. Ordering was HARD... i wanted everything! I decided on the Hamburger Steak plate & my friend ordered the Meat Jun plate and Garlic chicken. The plates were generous & YUMMY! Mac salad was perfect - not too much mayo just the way i like it! I had 2 good size hamburger patties - couldn't eat it all so i have the rest for dinner - not a bad thing hehe. The mean jun was tasty, and the garlic chicken was great as well! They also have fresh poke - although i didnt order any it looked fresh & yummy. I highly recommend you try this place - ill definitely be going again soon! Restaurant has lots of seating, very clean & i noticed a stage area where they have live music - Im not sure what days tho. read more

Pulled up to generation kitchen and they were unexpectedly closed. Their actual hours of operation aren't the same as their business hours listed on yelp. So be cautious of that. However, I didn't hold that against them. I just tried again the very next day fortunately, I was successful the second time around. I walked in about 30 minutes till closing. The customer service was good, but the food was even better. I ordered the hurricane chicken plate and love every bit of it. From the white rice to the flavorful chicken with the tasty sauce on top to the macaroni salad. I have several Hawaiian restaurant spots, but I can see generation kitchen becoming one of my faves.... Just so long as I'm able to catch them when they're open:) read more

We are from Honolulu and a friend that lives in Las Vegas brought us here for the first time. The owners are from O'ahu originally I have relocated their lives to Las Vegas as many other Hawaiians have. They have lots of free parking in the area. We walked in and there's a takeout order counter and some tables to sit at once you've placed your order and would like to in. It is decorated in true Hawaiian fashion. Two life size Kahili greet us and there is a Hawaiian cape hanging on the restaurant. We ordered one Poke bowl, one bowl of fried noodles, two red hot dog musubi for $35. Everything was Ono. They ran out of chopsticks, but they have aloha shoyu packets which is a very big plus for people from Hawai'i. The restaurant was clean, staff was friendly, and the prices were comparable to back home. Mahalo for bringing Hawai'i to Las Vegas. We will be back when we visit again. read more

The only bummer about Generations Kitchen is that they're in LV and not California! They were a vendor for San Diego's Holoholo Fest and had the longest line all weekend. There were multiple fried chicken places, but I saw someone walking by with this specific plate and I had to have it. You could tell it was better than all the rest! We got food from there twice- enjoying the garlic chicken, hurricane chicken (which is the garlic chicken with arare and mayo on it) and spicy ahi poke. The chicken was definitely reminiscent of Zippy's Korean Fried Chicken. Such huge chunks cooked perfectly. So tender but crispy on the outside. Food is definitely up to par. Hidden Gem Most of the time when I get a chance to go out and try new food or restaurants, I like to leave a review--especially since I work in the culinary industry and truly appreciate great food and service. Today, it was Generations Kitchen's turn. This is a family-owned Hawaiian restaurant, and it is truly a hidden gem. The service was excellent, and the food was just as great. If you're looking for comforting, authentic Hawaiian food, this is the place. Don't miss the opportunity to stop by and try their dishes. We had the poke nachos and the garlic chicken bowl, and both were absolutely delicious. Let's support our local restaurants. We're from California, and every time we roll into Las Vegas, Generation Kitchen is a non-negotiable stop--like, before the hotel check-in, before unpacking, this comes first. I always get the Loco Moco plate. It's my ride-or-die. Gravy, egg, hamburger steak--what more could a hungry tourist ask for? But this time, the wifey decided to be adventurous and ordered the poke nachos. Big mistake. Not hers--mine. Because I said, "Let me try one bite," and next thing you know, I blacked out and came to with an empty plate and her giving me the look. But seriously, those poke nachos? Absolutely unreal. I regret nothing. If you're in Vegas and NOT eating at Generation Kitchen, you're doing the trip wrong. Trust the Californians--we know good food, and this spot is a gem. read more
