Furikake Chicken plate (Rice and Mac Salad)
    Monique W.

Definitely one of the top spots for Hawaiian food in Las Vegas. If you're craving Hawaiian food, you should stop here. Generations Kitchen was on my Yelp collection list for a long time, and finally, my family had a chance to stop by for lunch! This restaurant is located in the Spring Valley area. It's a casual spot with authentic island style food! The menu offers a wide range of plate lunch favorites. Some of the dishes include the following -Garlic Chicken -Loco Moco -Chicken Katsu -BBQ Chicken and so much more! Generations Kitchen also offers fresh poke, ahi katsu, and other seafood options! You can get some favorites, like Spam Masubi, to snack on later in the day! We ended getting the following from Generation's Kitchen -Loco Moco with scrambled egg on top and rice -Furikake Chicken plate (Rice and Mac Salad) The food was delicious! The Loco Moco patty was scrumptious, tender and super flavorful! There was so much gravy on it too! My husband enjoyed the Furikake Chicken plate. The chicken was perfectly fried and so yummy! I had a few bites! The portions are large and the food is so good here! The team members are friendly and helpful! I highly recommend stopping by here if you're looking for some amazing Hawaiian Food! A hidden treasure with amazing food!

    Poke Nachos (partially eaten)

This gem is a little hard to find since it sits within a business complex, so keep a look-out for the sign! It's definitely worth a little searching and a stop if you're looking for a good meal. It's spacious with open seating. You order at the counter and grab a seat while you wait for your order to be called for pick-up. The staff is incredibly welcoming and kind. Everything on the menu honestly sounded so good that it was hard to pick. The portions are pretty generous, so come hungry or ready to share with friends! I was lucky enough to have been with a big group, so I was able to try a little bit of several items. Some items worth mentioning: 1. Poke nachos - DELICIOUS. You get to pick which poke you want to top the wonton chips. They also let you sample the poke first, so be prepared when you get to the register and make your decision promptly to not hold up the line. 2. Hurricane chicken - literally so much flavor.

    Hurricane Chicken

Got the Hurricane chicken. Super good, i got the plate and I was only able to eat half. Service was very kind and took my order quickly. Hawaiian music playing in the background as expected. Restaurant is super clean

    Breakfast Plate with Portuguese sausage

I stopped here for breakfast and got the Portuguese sausage with eggs and rice. The portion size was great and the price as well! I definitely want to come back and try their other things. My food came out fast and hot. This place is in an industrial area so it's a bit harder to spot, but definitely worth it to check out. The staff were nice as well.

Delicious Hawaiian food in a business park not far from highway 15 in southern Vegas. We grabbed food on our way out of town. Everything was made fresh and so tasty! Total local spot. Nice change of pace from all the crazy Vegas restaurants.

I enjoy coming here for local food. I noticed they changed their menu a little and its nice. I really like the girl working in the front because she's always welcoming and provides great service. Definitely gives off Aloha Vibes its always clean in there and spacious. I dont have to worry about saving a table. Try the garlic chicken and the furikake chicken.

Food and service excellent and quick. Portions are generous. Place is busy so you know it must be good. Will be back!

    Hurricane Chicken and Ahi Katsu

Anytime I want of taste of home this is my favorite place to come!! From their poke nachos to their hurricane chicken this place never leaves me disappointed!! My top three go-tos have to be the hurricane chicken if I want something saucy with a crunch. Next would be their loco moco if I want comfort food. Last line of defense that's never failed me, their meat jun especially with their sauce!! Their food is always packed with flavor and most time their portions can feed me twice!! I can't count the amount of times I've come with family to dine in or to place a take out order to go. This place is always on it and service is efficient. It can get pretty busy depending on what time you're coming in but I've never found the wait time to be too crazy. There is also a solid amount of seating so whether you're here for a quick lunch break or having a meal with friends/family they've got the space. My heart hurts knowing that they'll be heading back home at some point (they haven't released an official date yet) but til then I'll do my best to support and get my fill of all the onolicious food this place as to offer while I still can!!

Spam fried rice and a spam musubi

What a great find! I lucked into this place after finding a geocache nearby. Nice, clean little restaurant tucked away in an industrial area. The service was friendly, the food came quickly and the Spam fried rice was exactly what I needed! Highly recommend and would love to come back on my next visit to Vegas.

    Furikake Chicken Plate (April 2025)

Read a story about Generations Kitchen being a go to place for some top chefs in Vegas, so I knew I needed to try it the next time I was there. It's off the strip on the corner of a business complex and sort of easy to miss if you aren't mapping using an online map app. Arrived around 1:30 pm in the afternoon on a weekday, and there were about 4 tables filled. The decor was streamlined, with a menu above the ordering area. They offer several classic lunch plate options, and we opted to try the furikake chicken, garlic chicken, and loco moco. The large portion of furikake chicken was nicely fried and well seasoned, sitting on a bed of white rice, with another scoop of white rice topped with furikake seasoning and a side of mac salad. The garlic chicken also had an excellent garlic flavor and crunch. The mac salad was creamy but was not as seasoned for our palate compared with other places. The loco moco had beautifully cooked over easy eggs and the beef patty was tender but a little overcooked and could have used more seasoning. A large volume of brown gravy covered the patty and rice which was great, but the gravy didn't taste homemade. We were disappointed that there was no poke or spam musubi available as they ran out early that day. Good selection of Hawaiian Sun sodas and various bottled drinks, but a bit of a bummer that they didn't have free ice water. Overall, despite a few misses, I would definitely come back to try other menu options and hopefully get there to try their poke and spam musubi as well.

I loved: Garlic Chicken I do not recommend: Poke Bowl The garlic chicken is crispy, tender, and packed with flavor. Definitely #goodeats and easily something I'd come back for. The rice and mac salad that come with it are just okay. Pretty plain, nothing memorable, but they do the job as sides. Tried the poke bowl too, and honestly, it was a letdown. The poke itself was a bit too salty, and the bowl was basically just a mountain of rice with fish on top. No extra toppings, sides, or variety that I usually expect from a good poke bowl. It felt really one-dimensional. I highly recommend sticking to the garlic chicken. It is worth the trip alone. Will definitely skip the poke next time. The inside is pretty unassuming and the service is standard.

We had garlic chicken, furikake chicken, loco moco, meat jhun, poke and they were all soooooo good! It's away from the strip but worth the drive. Service was awesome. They had great suggestions and took great care of us!! Come try!!! You won't be disappointed.

The oxtail soup was really good: the broth seemed like it has a good amount of shoyu in it (it was dark), and had really nice beef flavor. There were also some shiitake mushrooms, which added to the umami, and fresh cilantro which, paired with the grated ginger, really complemented the savory elements. The oxtails were super tender and plentiful. The meat was well seasoned and fell off the bone. I've eaten a lot of oxtail soup, and this was really good. The limu poke was also solid. The limu was a nice touch: it's not as frequent to see it on the mainland, and I like the smoky flavor it imparts on the poke. The taro turnover was a revelation. It was so good it didn't make it to photos. The pastry crust was flakey, the taro was warm and sweet, and the Carmel drizzle was really nice. It does take 20 minutes to get the turnover, but I think it's worth it.

I was thoroughly unimpressed and my belief in these influences has worn thin. I came here for their famous beef ribs and Mac spam. Firstly, they did not have their famous ribs and from other reviews its been 2 weeks since they've had it. Fine, im not really OK with that but it is what it is bc the business cant control stock and where they have to buy it from. I got a steak and galbi plate that tasted burnt, flavorless and most of all, unlike all the videos I saw, it did NOT come "packed". Im glad it didn't anyways bc i did not enjoy the food. I also got the mac spam and a double spam misubi. Sooooooo much rice and the double spam really equals to one regular spam size at other hawaiian places. The Mac spam was very bland and both the spams not worth its price. The inside was hot and looked old. The music was cool and the cashier, a young woman, looked severely depressed and unenthusiastic. I didn't like the vibe, the cashier was unfriendly, and it was not worth the wait. I give honest reviews. I dont get paid and dont make exaggerated videos.

FOOD #19 - Famous Five Star - 9.1 / 10 A combo platter featuring Kalbi Short Ribs, Ribeye Teriyaki Beef, Chicken Katsu, & Teriyaki Chicken. The Kalbi Short Ribs were impressively meaty. Usually, other Hawaiian places serve fattier ribs with scant meat. The ones here were decently substantial & decently trimmed of unnecessary fat. The sauce is thick, savory, with just the right amount of body + sweetness. The Ribeye Teriyaki Beef is similar but in the form of the best cut on meat. No bones, no necessary fat. It's everything I think of when I think "premium beef". I could eat an entire Family Size bowl of this stuff + steamed white rice. Again, the exact same teriyaki sauce is miles above any other Hawaiian place because its thick, umami, & not-too-sweet. The Chicken Katsu is thick + generous in portion. In fact, this plate was a decent portion to satisfy me & my buddy for a few hours before our epic dinner at The Golden Steer. The macaroni salad was refreshing, medium-bodied, & not too creamy. The macaroni noodles were not-too mushy. The salad itself was noticeably less sweet compared to that at other Hawaiian restaurants. The teriyaki chicken was lean & not fatty. Again, the same sauce really carries this protein to a higher level of other Hawaiian restaurants' teriyaki chicken. Like I said, the owners here are putting in a lot of work to make their offerings miles above what other Hawaiian places do. Hot Dog Masubi - 7.5 / 10 Granted, I'm more of a spam masubi kind-of-guy, this was still a refreshing take on a Hawaiian classic. The peculiar redness of the hot dog links is oddly satisfying. A pretty big size for a snack. Rice was well cooked. Seaweed had a nice chew.

His cousin couldn't stop raving about the food, so we decided to check it out for dinner last night. We ordered the Crackhead Chicken and Da "OG" Beef to share, and I also got a Spam musubi I had been craving. The musubi was HUGE and really hit the spot. We also ordered a side of Crackhead Chicken without the spice for our 1 year old, and she LOVED it. Normally she throws her food, but this time she actually ate it and kept making the cutest "yummy" faces the whole time. The moment I took my first bite of chicken, my reaction said it all. The flavor was INCREDIBLE! It had a perfect balance of sweetness from the coconut and a nice kick from the spices. Everything worked so well together, and the chicken itself was unbelievably moist and juicy. I also loved that the meat was served over the rice, allowing for all the juices to soak in. The rice was soft, flavorful, and just as satisfying. The macaroni salad was hands down my favorite compared to any Hawaiian BBQ spot I've tried. I also had a few bites of the beef, which had an amazing flavor and just the right amount of char to elevate it even more. The only thing that didn't stand out to me was the coleslaw, but we found out later that you can substitute for extra macaroni salad for an additional 50 cents. We will definitely do that next time! Overall, we had a fantastic experience and will absolutely be back whenever we are in the area. One quick note for parents: there are no high chairs available, and we even searched the entire food court. Since it's inside a casino, it's understandable, but just something to keep in mind.
