I am very new to Aloha Kia but I was referred to them by a couple of coworkers because I needed a safer and more reliable vehicle for my new baby on the way. The process was so easy. They answered all of my questions and everyone was so nice. I ended up getting a kia soul and I am in love so far especially with how much i am saving on gas now. We bought a Soul EV on February 3rd. We were told that it can get 90 miles on a full charge which is NOT really good but since we don't do a lot of driving we thought it would be okay even though this is our only car. When we charge it for 4 hours we barely get 60 miles so we brought the car to have the battery checked. They said that the battery was 76%. If the battery was at 68% or lower then they would replace it. So it's barely acceptable. And when it does go to 68 or below, it will take months to get a replacement battery from Korea. At the very least you would think they would go ahead and order a battery replacement because by the time it arrives, we would need to replace the battery in the car. We asked if we trade this Soul to purchase a hybrid Nero, they told us sure but we would loose about $4,000. Really? You sold us a car that doesn't even go as far as you told us and it was only a little over 2 weeks when we came in to see about a trade in. I'm very disappointed in Aloha Kia. We have to change everyday or every other day even when we hardly go 20-30 a day. read more

I trusted the service department for 10 years. They broke my trust with me when I told them that I was going to keep my car till the wheels fall off. About 2 1/2 years ago my dashboard lit up and said stop immediately and don't drive. So I pulled over and opened my hood. And the motor oil was bone dry. So I had a case of oil delivered to me on the side of the road. Dash lights were off and I was able to get home. I called the maui Kia service department and they told me they would check it on my next service appointment. From that day my car burned oil and I had to add oil every week. For 2years I have kept mentioning the oil issue. Having to add oil every week. I thought that it was because of the high mileage. Because that is what I was told by the service manager more than 3 times. My engine light when on so I drove to Kia service department to check on it. I was told next appointment is in a month. So I decided to take my car elsewhere to get it checked. Crack valve cover gasket. Was causing the issue for over 2 years. Had it changed and replaced and flushed out the fuel line replaced the spark plugs. Costing about $1000.00. I feel that the service department manager did not have my best interest at heart. Where is the Aloha in Aloha Kia Maui. I loved my Kia Soul. And will do my best to keep it till the wheels fall off. I don't recommend Aloha Kia Maui, read more

AVOID BUYING A KIA from anywhere but especially here. I was promised reimbursement for my rental I had while my car was unusable waiting NINE MONTHS for a battery. Now THREE MONTHS after repair was finally made, still have NOT been reimbursed. No one EVER answers the phone or emails. I RUE the day I bought a Kia. You neglected to offer the free delivery service knowing my mother couldn't get it home without help of someone else driving it. You never told her the vehicle driven off your lot wasn't inspected! . Upon arrival of the vehicle that was two days late the Jeep had so little gas in it they had to have someone bring in a gallon from the gas station. On an island has suffered loss of life and employment due to the fires should not accept anything less than Pono from a dealership that needs its customers just as much as their customers need vehicles. This is one company that is hard to get ahold of. Noone ever answers the phone. Then try to get an appointment is ridiculous, you have to wait a month just to get in. That is why people are going else where. You are losing businees so fast. Its sad cuz i really liked my kia, even my mechanic dont want to deal with them. Jonnie was beyond friendly when I came by to get my car serviced , talked stories and showed me some new ones. Not an ounce of pushy. Truman has been helpful when it comes to getting some recalls taken care of. However , the parts guy is a nightmare. Slams windows and doors , it's crazy that management wasn't around to ask by what's wrong but he did call and was understanding! Terry was a real asset, this guy needs to find a new attitude and be respectful. Scheduled an oil changed at 8:30am on a Friday. When I pulled in everything was labeled and very straight forward. Walked into the service room and was helped right away. The gentlemen told me I could wait and that it might be an hour to an hour and a half. I waited in the outside waiting area and saw that they had already lifted my car to be serviced. So quick! They were finished servicing by 9:10am and then gave me a complimentary hand car wash that took about 20 minutes. I was out of there by 9:40 I was quite surprised at how quick they were and everyone here were so friendly and showed so much aloha! Mahalo nui! read more

I have to say first of all I should have bought my car from these guys. Wow what a completely different environment than island Honda. I bought a Kia from island Honda about a month ago and it started having ac problems about a week to two weeks ago. Well went back to island Honda to see if they could help me out with it since I bought the extended warranty just for the piece of mind. I have never gotten so much run around at the other place. Aloha Kia really did show me the aloha spirit is not dead. They got my car in and were able to resolve the problem in an hour or a little less. The service manager was courteous , prompt and very professional. I even talked to the general manager who took the time to stop and ask if I was ok and if I was being helped. We actually had a nice conversation and I later found out he was the gm. I highly recommend the sales and service team at aloha Kia. They still have the aloha spirit unlike a lot of there competition. And they actually return your phone calls. Like a professional business. Nice to know not all the dealerships on Maui are crooked. read more

I bought my first car in 2012, a kia soul. Its great, and now it's at 80k miles and some things break from wear and all and they need to be replaced. Normal car ownership stuff. The staff here, the service guys in particular are great. I have used them for all my car needs, at first because it was a kia and this is a kia dealership and then because these guys actually care about me and my wife. They treat me like family, they are fast, and they always do the job right the first time. I can rave, and you can chose to believe me or not, but i really trust these guys because they have always talked to me like i was more then a customer, and they always get the work done right the first time. Do NOT buy a car from these people, they are CROOKS! I bought a 2017 Nissan Sentra from them financed by a local Credit Union. It was a former rental car and they "jumped through hoops" to get me financed by increasing the price of the car and adding "GAP insurance" an extra $875 financed in the fine print. I already had Geico covering me for full coverage. After 6 hours there, I signed anyway not knowing what GAP insurance really is, but was assured I'd probably never need it. January 20, 2021, my daughter was driving a couple of blocks from home, lost control, and totaled the car. A month earlier I had received a recall letter from Nissan Corp. mentioning class action lawsuits etc. because there were problems with the Central Transmission Unit failing, on the exact make, model, and year AlohaKia sold me. Luckily my daughter was not hurt or killed as others on the mainland were. Geico was "Johnny on the spot" whisking the car away (to be "restored" for some other citizen) they charged the $500.00 deductible for each scratch on the 4 fenders taking $2000.00 off the value of the car. Now we get to the GAP Insurer whose job it is to cover the difference between what Geico pays and the total finance amount the Credit Union is owed, around $2,900.00. NATION SAFE DRIVERS LLC is headquartered in Florida. I sent EVERY document via their "Portal" and email over and over literally 9 sets of documents. It took me three months to get that it was a scam as well. So I paid a visit to the GM at Kia being they are a Hawaiian corporation subject to our Insurance fraud laws. Bottom line, KIA is the entity responsible. (Logically there's no recourse against NSD LLC since they're out of State) He told me (and my investigative reporter friend) "We no longer do business with that company" "NO kind sir, but you did when you signed my contract." I may be a grandmother, but I'm not without the power of my Hawaiian family to stand by me against slick con artists like AlohaKia. I'll expect a letter from HawaiiUSA stating the remainder on the loan is PAU. read more

I purchased my vehicle from this dealership and recently bought an additional key fob as a spare for my car from this dealership. Unfortunately, the dealership neglected to inform me that programming a new key fob would deactivate my current key fob and this resulted in me being locked out of my car 45 minutes away from my house and most embarrassingly, the incorrect programming also resulted in my car alarm blaring for 45 minutes while parked at a health retreat where patrons were receiving medical treatments, convalescing and (trying to) meditate. At one point during this situation, three practitioners confronted me and (politely) demanded that I stop my vehicle alarm from sounding. I subsequently had to send a note of apology to that facility. During this incident I made contact with a service department representative at KIA MAUI who, straight-up told me "this is our (KIA's), fault". Kudos for him acknowledging the fact but inexplicably, KIA MAUI never responded to our numerous phone calls to resolve this matter, necessitating this complaint to the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. read more

We have a 2017 Soul EV that we originally purchased from Kahului Kia. Our car recently began having charging issues so we made an appointment with the service department. They ran some tests and came to the conclusion that a new battery was needed. They immediately took the car and gave us a loaner, all covered by the Kia warranty. There was no hesitancy on their part, they knew what needed to be done and jumped right on it. I've never dealt with a company that went so far out of their way to treat their customers with such courtesy and friendliness, not only in this instance but with all of our routine maintenance as well. I've typically worked with Truman, who is awesome, but everybody I've ever encountered there has been top notch. You are treated as though you own a luxury vehicle. In these days of generally lacking customer service this group is such a breath of fresh air. read more

DON'T TRUST THIS DEALERSHIP!!! I bought a 2010 Jeep wrangler from them, their service is great, until you purchase the car... Before my car was to be shipped to Lana'i, they were going to fix a recalled part that would cause the driver airbag to not be inflated. Once the car shipped to me, the horn didn't work. They offered to take a look at it but said i would have to ship it back there and if they decide that it wasn't their doing, that i would have to pay for shipping and repairs. When I finally got a mechanic to look at the car, it turns out that there was an old and dirty airbag put in that looks older than the car, and the recalled piece they put in was BROKEN!!! One of the brake calipers will rub and sometimes bind one of the tires, but i couldn't fix that for months because I couldn't get the tires off to get to it, since the car had locking lug nuts, but no key for them. (had to purchase new lug nuts and not all the ones on the car were the same size...) They claimed that the soft top was perfectly fine, but one of the bars was installed wrong, making it not fold up fully. When I talked to the guy I bought the car from 10 days after receiving it to talk about all these problems and he said that I had been driving it for a while and it was probably something I did to the car, not them!! he was a complete ass about it... Aloha Kia Maui has no ethics!So, aloha Kia will not credit back the $133 it cost to look at my car for 10 minutes to tell me what was wrong with it. They offered a 15% discount on the $250 they want to charge me to fix the problem. I said no. Next step is to contact corporate. If they refuse I'll be a one woman crusade on social media to discourage people to buy Kia's. If you are going to come here to purchase a car, make sure you go to Mitchell! After buying my car, I drove it off the lot and about a half hour later the check engine light came on. I called back and spoke with Mitchell and made sure my car was looked at and fixed the problem. Then, a new problem around and sure enough, He stepped up to make sure that it was address and taken care of! I was in and out this am for an oil change... prompt service good coffee and they washed my car, something that the local Ford dealership overlooked the last few times I suffered through my tenure with them. They were courteous. The car has been excellent so far which is a Kia. They have greatly improved in service over their previous Service Dept. many years ago. One thing is they are a small but successful dealership, and they do the best they can with what they have which is better than most as I can see for now! I look forward to doing business with them for many years! As one mentioned about Customer Service Skills... well that is an ongoing thing...these days even with the best with workforces downsized, and burnout of good employees... we all can improve! THEY ARE TERRIBLE!!! I bought a car from them recently and had the worst experience. I don't recomemd this place at all. Their sales department is horrible.( their mechanics are good.) The sales person didn't know what he was talking about and explained to me so many wrong things from what I really have on my car. The door was not installed right so rain came inside.( they fixed it after I complained.) I went back to complain about the things I'm supposed have but I don't. The manager came out and he had a bad attitude to begin with and didn't wanna help me so I told him that's a false advertisement, then he finally tried to do something for me. But he started to argue with my boy friend and saying " I don't wanna help you" and slamed the door!! He came out the door maybe a couple minutes later and helped me but I was furious and of course I didn't get what I wanted to get.......... What kind of sales people would argue with their customers?! What kind of customer service do they have? I guess after I paid money, they don't care about the car or me at all...... I heard about their oil change deal. Yes, it was cheaper including car wash. Yet, they are very unreliable. On the phone, they said I could just ask for vacuuming car, but in person they said they did not do that. On the phone, I was told that it would take an hour. In reality, it took more than an hour and half. Yet, they said it was a little over an hour. They have no awareness of time, and they kept apologizing to others who waited longer than me. So I took my truck in for the $39.95 special to change my oil. Included is that they will check out your fluids and wash your car. So I had an appointment at 1:30, reached there to drop off my truck and was told it'd be a 3 hour wait as they were a lil backed up. They have a free shuttle that will take you anywhere within the central area so we decided to go to Kaahumanu Center to kill some time. We ate, we shopped, we waited...and waited. About 4 hours later they called and unfortunately my phone didn't ring and I had to call them back...within a few minutes (I checked my phone on my own). So when I called the guy tells me oh wait I need to check because the service department just closes and I hope they left your key. I'm like wth they better have...how you gonna close with vehicles still there. Great, another guy picks up and says he will send a shuttle to pick us up. So the shuttle comes and we start walking to it as another guy gets in the front seat. So I approach and say hi and that I am heading back to Kia too. Shuttle drivers says oh I wasn't told ok get in. She was friendly and proceeded to tell us that they have a new GM who was trying to push them to doing more calls per day and how that caused them to get backed up because they only have 2 mechanics to do one thing and 1 1/2 (1 part timer) to do the other things. Idk maybe I feel I should have been advised that basically they were over booked...I had plans that I was almost late to because I thought I'd have plenty of time to finish up and get there. So we finally get back, pick up the truck, btw the total is $47.50 approximately, and yes they did wash my truck by hand but n it very well I should say....Kinda looked like a it's Friday and we're closing kinda job. But they did do what the said and they were pretty much all friendly. Just be prepared to wait a while after your approximate time. read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. I heard the oil change deal on the radio advertising for 39$ and they wash your car. I took my car in and dropped it off. When my car was done I went in and sat there in front of the guy who apparently serviced my car and he completely ignored me. Well he told me told me that things needed to be changed and he never bothered to call me for permission. He didn't even give me a call to let me know I was getting charged for this and for that and for everything else. well what was supposed to be 40-45$ turned into 70$!! WTF? maybe he thought because I am a woman he could cheat me..I was better off going to walmart for oil change and washing my car at Hashis in wailuku. it would have been cheaper. now a week later my check engine light is on......Beware of Aloha kia maui.
