I didn't know you guys were open late, that was super convenient so thank you. My ac was feeling more like a fan & I had a headlight go out. So thanks to AutoZone I was able to get the parts I needed to fix both tonight. Rather then waiting till tomorrow. A win for me = a shoutout for you. Xoxo, ChelsieFletcher

Maui's first AutoZone opened in Kahului on a parcel long abandoned by a Texaco gas station. It's a brand new building shared with one other space that is currently unoccupied. BRIEF HISTORY: The first store opened in 1979 in Arkansas as Auto Shack which was a division of the Malone & Hyde grocery company. Auto Shack's name changed to AutoZone after a trademark infringement lawsuit was brought on by the now defunct Radio Shack. The company's HQ is currently in Memphis, TN with location also in Mexico and Brazil. EXPERIENCE: Being that they're brand new, the place was spic and span, shelves fully stocked and organized. I was pricing around a taillight for my car which was cracked. The car dealership quoted me $150. Here, they oddly had two price points for the same model year which were $130 and $90, one looking lighter in color than the other on the computer screen. WTH? I'd rather pay the dealership price and be assured I get the correct part! SERVICE: I had a short wait to be assisted as someone else was being helped. It's not like NAPA where they have numerous windows staffed. A few minutes later, an associate came in from the outside and called me over. His attention span was short as I had to repeat myself three, sometimes four times for what I was looking for. So annoying. Like I mentioned before about the difference in lens color of the taillights, he wouldn't research further as to why that was so. Either take it or leave it is what I got. So, I left it! Your loss, buddy. TIPS: They have a free membership rewards program in which one of the perks include free car battery testing (a pricey car dealership option if you've ever researched it). Open later than most, either 9 or 10pm. OVERALL: Does Kahului really need three car parts stores within a mile of each other?

Installed it like a boss. Jimmy came and kicked ass too. It takes a village to help a girl out. Could not be more appreciative. Go to these folks. So much aloha.

Yesterday we needed to buy the most basic thing you would buy in an auto parts store . My partners…read moreneeded washer fluid. She did decide to go in herself. It seemed pretty straightforward. I recommend it to her that we buy 20/10 concentrated washer fluid. this is an extremely well-known product. It's has no dyes in it. The parts agent at the desk told my partner. "He had never heard " of it and that they did not have it in stock and sold her some premixed washer fluid which is fine. I use that fluid it in my own car, but it wasn't what we asked for. His response to her was he had never heard of it and they did not have it instead of looking it up like they do for almost every customer. Who's looking for a fuse or a brake pad, or anything else . When she got back to the car, I checked on the website and it was in stock at that store, so I decided to go in and just ask him about it. It wasn't too busy in the store, and I thought it would be ok. He's a man of my age. Who's likely worked around vehicles for a long time. He was wearing a Safeway hat, which I thought was kind cool in its own way. Because there was someone ahead of me. I decided to get the part, which was displayed in the back of the store clearly, with the other two brands of washer fluid. I waited for the agent to become available. He took someone ahead of me who had went out to their car and was coming back, which which happens at these stores. When it was my turn to get to the counter, I showed him the white bottle of 20 10 fluid and said to him gently that I wanted him to know that the product was in stock, and it was our first choice. His response was. He said he did not know had the product and it was in stock but he did not say to me he had "never heard" of the product. Which would've surprised me if he had not. I told its concentrated, and therefore, it's easier to store, for the long-term use His response to my comment after showing the product was not defensive and therefore somewhat favorable. He said, I would have to mix this product with water, and I told him we can get water. I can't say this was a five star experience because we weren't able to buy a product that was on in the shelf on the store, but I do think his reaction was good, and I appreciated it. I would be happy to go back there again when went and if they need a rises.
