Kaimi is absolutely top-notch! He responded to our call quickly and with genuine compassion. When we entered escrow on a property, he immediately understood that time was of the essence during the inspection period. With just a few days notice, Kaimi had us scheduled for the inspection seamlessly. Beyond his exceptional customer service and caring attitude, he is incredibly knowledgeable. His expertise shines through both in the way he communicates and in the detailed, professional home inspection report. I truly cannot thank Kaimi enough! read more

We had an absolutely outstanding experience with Kaimi!! I genuinely cannot recommend him enough. From the moment we met him, he was professional, thorough, and incredibly knowledgeable. He didn't just "check boxes", he truly inspected the home. He took the time to explain what he was seeing, what was normal for homes in Hawaii, what might need attention later, and what was genuinely important. As first-time buyers in this environment, that level of honesty and education meant everything to us. What really stood out was how patient and detail-oriented he was. He never made us feel rushed, answered every single question (and I had a lot), and helped us understand not just the condition of the home, but how to take care of it long-term. He pointed out maintenance tips, climate-specific issues, and even things that would save us money long term. His report was extremely clear, organized, and easy to understand. No scare tactics. No vague language. Just real, helpful information that made us feel confident moving forward. Buying a home is stressful, but having an inspector like this on your side makes a huge difference. If you want someone who is honest, thorough, knowledgeable, and truly cares about the buyer experience, this is your person. If I'm being honest, I chose this company based on the fact there was thermal imaging for moisture detection or electrical overheating in the walls and drone imaging for a thorough look of the roof condition, but in the end I'm so glad we didn't get someone else. We are so grateful we chose him! Like I truly cannot say that enough. read more

Kaimi was very thorough with the home inspection. It's my first time buying a home and I appreciated his knowledgeable insights.

This guy is a literal scam artist, and a menace to society. Did not even notify me that there was Polybutylene plumbing in the house I bought. He said, "The plumbing is all new!" With a big smile on his face. It costs 6-8k to get the whole place re-plumbed. That's just the tip of the iceberg too. Scam artist who loves to smile and shake your hand. Let me make this simple for anyone reading. Home inspectors are a scam, and Kevin Marcello is not one of the good ones. If you are buying a house, pay for a plumber, electrician, and GC to come out to inspect wiring, plumbing, and framing/insulation/HVAC BEFORE you buy. Home inspectors are joe shmoes who push sales through to try to get real estate agents to funnel them business. It's that simple. read more

Kaimi did a home inspection on a condo I am in the process of purchasing. I was not able to be in person for the inspection. Kaimi collaborated seamlessly with my realtor. He worked with my realtor to do the inspection the day we opened escrow. I was extremely impressed with how fast he got in there and did a thorough inspection. He worked with my realtor to create a video of the home and pointed out areas of concern. Kaimi explained everything with no judgement and gave some helpful tips. He answered all my questions and was incredibly professional. He called me the following day to go over the inspection report and shared his perspective on various items given that I'm a first time homeowner. I highly recommend Kaimi to anyone. The price of the inspection was affordable and extremely thorough for the price paid. I would definitely use Kaimi again in the future. Mahalo for a job well done! read more

Kaimi has inspected two of the properties I've purchased in Hawaii. He's the consummate professional. He's thorough and has excellent attention to detail. More importantly, he understands construction and knows what should be done - and how it should be done. His reports are very well written and easy to use as a list of action items. I 100% recommend Kaimi for your home inspection needs! read more

I would give Kaimi 6 stars if I could! Thorough work, good teacher/communicator, and all around friendly guy. Kaimi responded quickly to my initial inquiry and we scheduled the date/time. He arrived a few minutes early and immediately went to work. 3 hours later he led us through a walk through of the entire house and covered the key areas of note. His inspection was very detailed. By the time I woke up the next morning, I had a 59-page report, with pictures and lots of detail, in my email inbox. Top notch work, I recommend Kaimi with 100% confidence. read more

I found Kaimi via Yelp and he inspected the property we were in the processing of purchasing. Kaimi responded quickly and set a date in a timely manner. The home was a pre-forclosure, so we were a little worried about the condition of the home. Kaimi was very thorough, professional and detailed. He even gave us tips and helpful hints on problem areas of the home. We were not expecting a report until later, but he promised his delivery and sent it the very next day (actually earlier than I expected) and it was very detailed report with photos. I think he spent the whole night getting it done which shows that he is dedicated and passionate about his job. Overall, his report helped get us the fixtures we needed and even got us a credit. We definitely recommend Kaimi as he is reliable, trustworthy and gets the job done. -Extremely satisfied customers :) read more

I highly recommend Kaimi. Not only did he accommodate our last-minute request for an inspection by working with his schedule to meet our needs, he delivered an extremely thorough report detailing the condition of the house we are purchasing. We've worked with well known, larger inspection organizations on Oahu for previous purchases who missed details here and there, but there were no such issues with Kaimi. Will definitely recommend him to others in my network if they are in search of a reliable, conscientious, and honest professional inspector. We are incredibly satisfied with his work. :) read more

Wanted to give some props to Kaimi Kawai at Aloha Home Inspections. Out of 118 days so far in 2021 he has done over 135 home inspections. That is over 1 every day! He must be doing something right because the majority of us don't have 1 "sale" everyday of the year so far! If you are selling a home or need a home inspected, give him a call. He will take care of you like he did for me and my clients as well!! read more

Five Star Service all over O'ahu! I think it's so important for everyone to know that Kaimi is not limited to any specific area. He serves all locations/areas on Oahu. I had a property in Pearl City, and he was there for us. It was so wonderful having an inspector that gave me peace of mind! I was closing on a property fast! So I needed someone quick! Kaimi not only made himself available to get the inspection completed, but it was also done, prior to my deadline! Of course anyone would expect your inspector to be knowledgeable with his trade. And Kaimi definitely is knowledgeable in what he does. What I appreciated most was that he is so caring in the way that he shares his knowledge with us, his clients. Yes, we did get a final report in the end, but during the inspection, he took the time to stop and fill me in on specific things that was of benefit for one to know. If you are in need of an inspector, Kaimi is your guy! He is very professional, knowledgeable, and caring. I will definitely be calling him for all my inspections! read more

Kaimi was great in helping my clients with their home inspections. I've used Kaimi many many times. He has always been professional and extremely detailed with his inspections. Kaimi at Aloha Home Inspections is a person you can trust! He is very thorough, detailed and professional.

As a note - I do not trust Home Inspectors. Usually a home inspector is someone who does not have a lot of experience in a home but then after a brief course thinks they know everything about the safety and quality of a home. Kaimi is a breath of fresh air in the fact that he takes it as a personal responsibility to follow the rules and guidelines. He does not make statements he cannot backup. Kaimi is someone who will do a fair assessment and stay within the guidelines of what is required and expected of a home inspector. Trust Aloha Home Inspections for your home inspection. read more

We recently worked with Kaimi at Aloha Home Inspections. The job was well done and very thorough. It was obvious he takes pride in his work. During the walk-through with us, he took the time to explain all of his findings in a way that made it easy for us to understand. I appreciated his willingness to answer all of our questions without ever making us feel rushed or ashamed to ask. He provided us a written report complete with photos and explanations of all findings, including infrared and aerial drone images. read more

Kaimi is great, professional but friendly, he took hours to inspect the house inch by inch, and promptly provided a thorough 63 page report. I highly recommend his services. read more

The home inspection was very thorough. All aspects of the inspection were explained and considering the unit is very small, he still made sure I was satisfied. All that said, one issue that had me frustrated and upset for almost 4 months. This issue was overlooked by the designer/developer/ seller. As arrogant as he was I am not surprised. To benefit the home inspector for future inspections...if the home buyer has a new, front loading washer, Please look for the shipping bolts, that they have been removed!!!! The washer shook violently and it was so violent that it shook and moved around so much that it made no sense to as why it was...almost enough I thought that it was about to explode. I was completely baffled as to why as far as to almost contacting Kenmore directly. Finally after googling "front load washer shaking out of control". Well it turns out that you running it with no clothes in as you did, it would have looked normal. Plenty of water and draining and all that. Please please check for the shipping bolts and that they have been removed. Especially if you inspect for the idiot that remodeled this home!!! Thank you! Great job otherwise!!! read more

Kaimi was a great help in my home buying experience. First, he was able to accommodate to my busy schedule by being able to provide his service with just a 3 hour notice. He was on time with all his tools needed for the job. During the inspection, he walked me thru his finding step by step while answering any questions that I have and trust me I do have a lot of question from my skeptical nature. You should be you making a pretty large purchase. Kaimi was informative, hardworking, and resourceful.
