We visited Aloha Grill for Sunday brunch and couldn't have picked a better spot. Sitting on the patio overlooking HB Main Street was perfect--the weather was warm with a light ocean breeze. We ordered the Hawaiian Brunch, and wow, it was a feast! Flavorful fried rice, two generous slices of perfectly seared Spam, four pieces of Portuguese sausage, and two eggs cooked just right. Every bite was delicious. We paired it with a couple of Rainbow Slushies topped with a dark rum float--absolutely refreshing. I visited Aloha Grill again with some friends to have breakfast before the Pacific Airshow. They are located on the second floor with a good view of the sky towards the beach. This is also a great location to look down on Main Street and people-watch. They have a great Bloody Mary for only $14. It has a tajin rim and is garnished with a strip of bacon and an olive. I had the Breakfast Quesadilla ($16). It is a good size, not greasy at all, and is stuffed with eggs, cheese and bacon. The green sauce it comes with was very flavorful. This plate also comes with a good portion of hash browns that are nice and crisp on the outside with a few chopped green onions on top. While I haven't had the chance to their order food, I did experience their rainbow drink with the additional dark rum float. The drink was fantastic, just sweet enough and refreshing. Let me tell you exactly what to do to have a 5 star experience at aloha grill. Begin by parking in the parking structure directly across the street from the restaurant. It's free for 90 minutes and $1 per 10 minutes after that. Sit outside facing Main Street, order a rainbow slushee with a floater (alcoholic) Order the pork nachos. It's a generous size for sharing. Order a rainbow poke bowl. Add grilled shrimp on top. This will be a lot of food, you will probably have leftovers. Service is great, food is epic, and views are irreplaceable. The burger itself was decent, but definitely not worth the price. Unfortunately, the service was the worst I've ever experienced we waited an hour just to get drinks. We chose to sit outside, but multiple items were forgotten, including an entire entrée. While the burger was probably the best dish of the meal, everything else we ordered had poor flavor, making the overall experience very disappointing. Save your time and money. read more

We dined here yesterday March 9th about 2:30pm. There were 2 bartenders working. Male bartender helped us on the patio. Super friendly. Nice ambience. I haven't been here for a rainbow in ages....maybe 16 years. I remember this place packed on weekends. I feel like if you gave the patio a little love and maybe changed the inside a bit. Make it a little more loungy. Some things definitely could use some painting on the patio. I remember something was very rusty and could use a coat of white paint over it. The bathrooms def could use a cleaning (wiping the stall doors) and stocking of seat covers and toilet paper. The service was a 5 star as well as the food. The male bartender was friendly and nice. We would definitely come back. The appearance of the restaurant maybe 3 stars. There are lots of new, updated restaurants on Main St. I think a revamp would help. read more

Every time I come to Aloha Grill I feel like I connect to the staff more and more. I appreciate the welcoming from Keola, Jamie, Wadi. and Uzi. They are quick with their service but they also dedicate time to connect with their customers. I also appreciate the feedback and attentive response to the rowdy/controversial customers. I have a Facebook friend who is a frequent patron at the Aloha Grill. Because I see his posts all the time, I wanted to try the place. Upon going in, you have to walk up a flight of stairs (there is an elevator on the side), and you are greeted by a big Tiki. It looks like a tiki bar/sports bar. To the left is where they serve alcohol. To the right are booths and tables. We've been on both sides. I love their French toast, though it is a small portion and it comes ala carte. If you want eggs and sausage, you have to order that on the side. Husband likes their loco moco. The waiter Chris is very nice and he's a Greenbay Fan like my husband. The owner is chill, too. The times I've gone to the Aloha Grill it was fairly slow, so I hope this review helps make them more recognized for breakfast and not just beer o'clock. They have delicious food. read more

Nice place at the second floor on the Main street. Was looking for some sea food while in Huntington Beach but choice was limited. This one look promising. Went upstairs and inside smelled weird. So we decided to sit on balcony where we could see the main street. There was only one waiter and who was also a bartender so we wait for a second. The guy was super nice but we waited for our good. I had panko fried Mahi Mahi that came with sticky rice and vegetable which was ok. And husband has ahi tuna . Kids took burger from kids menu, which was plain with ni sauce, only onion lettuce and tomato. The meat was good but overall burger wasn't very eatable. But fries was very good. Been coming here for like 15-20 years, I don't even remember now. I haven't tried the new food menu since they changed ownership, but the hilo Hawaiian plate was always my go to. It was delicious, but I saw that it is no longer on the menu? Service in the dining room was always great, service outside is always average, but expected. The bartender is usually covering outside and it can get pretty busy. The rainbows are what bring me back. They are so delicious on a hot day (even on a cold one) and adding the floater makes it perfect. Still reasonably priced at $11 with a floater and they're strong enough to sneak up on you. read more

We came here after the street fair at Huntington Beach so every restaurant was crowded, except for this one. Which probably should've been a sign. Our server was friendly and attentive and food came out fairly quickly. I got the surf n turf which came with blackened garlic shrimp, steak with herb butter, and mac salad. The shrimp looked good but had no garlic flavor besides salt. The mac salad was creamy with mayonnaise but had no sweetness or any flavor that usually comes with macaroni salad. The steak was cooked well and the herb butter made it pretty good. This food is subpar and I probably wouldn't come back. I heard they have a new chef and that they are taking feedback so I'm hoping it'll e better in the future. read more
